Part 130.

Is It The God Within Or The God Without?

The true meaning of our higher dimensional consciousness is without a doubt not yet grasped by many
who sincerely use the name of Jesus Christ. We have yet to realise that our true I is definitely not part of
our natural or carnal man. ''the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit for they are foolishness
to him, but they are spiritually discerned''. I Cor 2:14. This wonderful understanding which is no doubt
gaining ground among many has yet to be shown its importance to the vast religious majority. In gaining
ground we every one of us need to be willing to give up that which would hinder. What would be the
thing that would hinder us? Would it be our false appetites, our resentments, jealously, envy, greed,
malice etc? Now having said that, I am sure it would cause many of us to maybe lose heart, but NO this
is not a forced thing it is simply ALLOWING the truth, the true I of ourselves, which is in everyone of us
to have ITS way in our lives. A good foundation for what we are sharing here are the very words of Jesus
Christ ''Neither do I condemn you, go and sin not more'' If we can grasp it there is a total lifting of our
guilt, in no more condemnation. The words go and sin no more are in other words, listen to what Spirit is
saying to us & not heed what our natural carnal selves would tell us & let a change in our attitude begin to
take place. It will not happen overnight & we are not saying that there would not come soon for some a
sense of a knowing that we are definitely being led gradually, to a higher understanding & sense of
change.
Our Human-hood!

In our human-hood there are two of us, the man of the earth and that man who wishes to have his being in
Christ. At this moment it is the man who wishes to die daily to his or as one or more have termed it our
Antichrist nature. Oh God destroy finiteness within me, bring forth that which is Christlike in me, which
we are so glad to say is in every one of us, as we each and every one of us have been created Sons of
God, by birth, but not all by faith. This is what we are endeavouring to share, if we would desire a
change. Through our surrender, we are opening ourselves to the Divine Influence that it may enter our
consciousness and govern us. No experience can go beyond the consciousness of the individual, & when
the individual permits his or her consciousness to be dedicated to the service of God, that is the measure
of talent or capacity that flows through.

The Evolving States Of Consciousness!

Our invisible substance called consciousness, which can be experienced, but never defined or analysed by
our natural man or mind, has a meaning beyond that found in any dictionary, a meaning that we can
comprehend only through our Spiritual awareness & powers of discernment.
One has shared this. ''Consciousness is not only eternal and omnipresent but is our eternal awareness
which has been endowed in every man if he desires to pursue it. This conscious awareness which we
each have though we may have not yet actually activated it, fills all space, not merely on earth, but
beneath the earth, & the heavens, and is without beginning & without end. Every man has been endowed
with this almost unbelievable gift. Why? We each of us inherited this before the foundation of the World.

and all the sons of God shouted for joy?'' Job 38:5 &7. Amplified.
At some time in the history of mankind, man lost his divine heritage, that is, he became unaware of it.
It is described in Scripture as the Adamic experience. Adam & Eve, symbolic figures, represent the
human race which accepted a belief in two powers, a power of good & a power of evil, & by accepting
that belief they were driven out of the Garden of Eden and became separated from their Source, their
God-consciousness. That is the belief, but in truth nothing can really separate anyone from infinite divine
harmony. It is man's ignorance that deceives him!
As a result of the sense of separation that sprang up, symbolised by Adam & Eve being cast out of
the Garden of Eden, we find a mortal concept being entertained in the form of two sons. These two sons
were the mortal concepts of the human race---one good and one evil. With that concept, the human race
went deep down into degradation, into the lowest form of human life, even cannibalism in some places,
with murder a natural accompaniment of this low state of consciousness.
From that time on the human race, as such, had no contact with God. It was that ''natural man who
receives not the things of the Spirit of God''. Jesus Christ Himself summed it up in these words, ''If a
man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered.'' That is the human race. It is not
you or I as individuals: it is all of the human race.
The true parable of the Prodigal Son is not only an account of a man who left his Father's house and
returned. It is the story of the human state of consciousness that left its Fathers house to wander on earth,
setting up a self-hood of its own, & finally coming to the place of creating such marvellous things that it
now wonders if they will not turn on him and destroy his life: ''See what a world I have made for myself!
I have split the atom; I have created the greatest power there is on earth; & now I am afraid that it is
going to devour me.''
Frankenstein! The human mind creating its own destruction, bring itself to a feast with the swine,
and not only individually but collectively saying, ''Where do we go from here? Now that we have made
this great power, we do not control it: we fear it!''
At this very moment, the human mind is eating its banquet with the swine. It is at a low an ebb as it
has ever been in the history of the world. It does not know if it can ever survive until tomorrow. In the
back of that mind it is wishing it were in the Father's house or wondering perhaps if there is a Father's
house to return to. Consciously or unconsciously, the world is reaching out for spiritual light in order to
be released from the Frankenstein it has created.
There is only one way to be released. If you have made a poison and are afraid of it, if you have
made a bomb and are afraid of it, if you have created an ideology and are now afraid of it, the remedy is
to realise that the I which you are is consciousness, not form; conciousness not mind.'' This realisation is
man's only means of escape.

The Light Breaking Through!

Primal, original Consciousness is pure, infinite, harmonious, and all-good; and this is consciousness of
individual being. When we cut ourselves off or are cut off from that infinite divine Consciousness and
come to have a mind and a life of our own, separate from God, we are no longer under the law of God.
Life then becomes a matter of chance, a statistic; sometimes good and sometimes evil, but more often evil
than good.
The only hope for a restoration to harmony is to return to the Father's house and to be united again
consciously with God. Fortunately, this does not depend upon us. It is not our human efforts that bring us
back to God. It is the light of God breaking through. I hope that none of us will ever think that we
brought ourselves to a spiritual teaching or that we are responsible for remaining on the spiritual path or
for any spiritual progress in our life. This would destroy all our chances for real progress.
If we think of the millions of people on earth who from almost any standpoint are as good or better
than we are and who are not on the Path, but are surely entitled to be on the spiritual path as much as we
are, it must be clear that we have not come this far because we deserve it or because we have chosen God.
To believe that we of ourselves have chosen a spiritual pathway would be egotism in its final stage. No
God has chosen us. The finger of God has touched us, not because we have earned it, deserved it, or are

any better than the rest of mankind, but for reasons which go back long before our present experience on
earth, reasons that have to do with evolving consciousness which always comes to fruition in its own
time.
''You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you . . .I have chosen you out of
the world therefore the world hates you'' As we evolve from state to state of consciousness, at last we
return to where we were in the beginning with all the glory we had with God before the human sense of
the world was. It is not our human efforts that draw us back to God: it is the primal Substance,
Consciousness, drawing us back to Itself.
This process can be likened to a bucket of water into which dirt has been thrown. The dirt cannot
remove itself, but eventually it will settle to the bottom and leave the water as pure as it was before the
dirt was added. So it is that the Consciousness which we are and which has had thrown into it the dust of
the Adamic dream----the crime, the slavery, the belief of two powers ---- but know this that true
Consciousness remains pure and is never contaminated.
We began as pure Consciousness and, and regardless of any meanness or selfishness today, there is a
Force working in us and through us gradually dispelling it. Over the centuries It eventually dissolved the
evil corruption that had been taken on until one day we found ourselves closer to what we were in the
beginning. We do not choose God; we do not choose the spiritual life; we do not choose to be on the
spiritual path. A human being is not capable of such a choice; a human being is a creature separate and
apart from God. But at some point in his evolution, the Light breaks through and puts him on the path.
We cannot claim credit for this because, as human beings, we would never be other than human beings.
Spiritual consciousness is projecting itself in and through human consciousness, leading us forward
step by step. It is inevitable that some few should be a little ahead of the parade. The grace of God has
touched these, before it caught up with the mass of humanity, which is not yet sufficiently advanced and
may have to live another life or even two, three, five or seven before it is ready to recognise the Grace
already established within.
The cry for freedom and liberty is louder now than it has ever been on earth, and it is not unnatural
that the forces would prevent it, it would scream a little louder because in the human picture good and evil
are always contending one with the other. But since Consciousness is unfolding toward Its fulfilment on
earth those that stand in the way of freedom, liberty, justice, equality, and brotherly love will be crushed.
Anyone who fights against the activities and qualities of God is fighting against the evolving or unfolding
of Consciousness.
With the coming of the printing press, knowledge began to replace ignorance, light to replace
darkness, and the mind became a greater transparency for the Divine Consciousness. Grossness and
dullness are removed in proportion as knowledge and wisdom enter, and the mind becomes imbued with
ideas and ideals about which it had never heard before. Yes the light is certainly breaking through!

Except A Man Be Born Of The Spirit!

Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit. . . In mystical teaching, water is always symbolic of the
psyche, or the soul; the Spirit is the Divine fire. Up to a certain point, man is of the soul only, and not of
the Spirit. That is to say, the Spirit is there with the birth, but the soul remains in a state of darkness until
it becomes quickened by and aware of the Spirit. The soul is the clothing of the Spirit, and can be
stimulated from within so that it can rise and unite with the Spirit. In course of time, the soul and spirit
will unite and become one. In the earlier stages of his earthly journey man is evolving on the two
outermost planes, the physical and the psychic, and in doing so he gains experience and is finally born
again, born of the spirit, as he turns in earnest to seek God. Many, many souls are living in darkness at
the present time. The Elder brethren or as Daniel would call them Watchmen are trying by their love and
help to awaken these 'dead' souls and bring them to life.
''The wind bloweth where is listeth''. . . 'the wind' is yet another reference to the Spirit, the divine
breath. Blowing where it will, it cannot be defined. No man has seen the Spirit. Man daily sees a
manifestation of the Psyche, the soul body, which is continually expressing Itself through the physical, but

does not see the Spirit. Yet the spirit can be felt . . . . You sit quietly in meditation and become aware of
the breath of Spirit, indescribable and intangible. The wind, the divine breath, ''blows where it listeth''.
You notice that Jesus said to Nicodemus, as if in surprise, ''Are you a master of Israel, and you
know not these things?'' There are those even today, who speak purely from the intellect, having much
knowledge, but the sweet essence of Spirit expressed through tenderness, love and wisdom, they know
not. Jesus was at pains to teach His disciples the knowledge which was of the earthly mind, and the great
truth of the Comforter. When the comforter comes to man, man is reborn; the heavens become open to
him, the power of love flows in and through him, and brings gifts of healing, wisdom, power to comfort,
power to illumine and to raise others on the wings of Spirit.
You will perhaps remember our references to Nathaniel and the fig tree, and how stress was laid upon
the vision by which Jesus saw Nathaniel. The disciples thought it wonderful; but Jesus said in effect, 'It is
nothing – only a psychic vision. Wait until you can see angels ascending and descending from heaven'.
This is an experience which can come during times of deep meditation, when the soul is highly attuned
and reflects the true vision of heaven. True visions of the spirit do not come through the development of
psychic power. Psychic power enables people to see disembodied spirits, to see into an astral world
closely connected with the physical; but the heavens are not to be reached by psychic power, or revealed
by psychic vision. This is the difference to which Jesus referred in regard to his vision of Nathaniel.
The same with Nicodemus: Nicodemus was a man of knowledge, possessing a powerful intellect,
but he lacked spiritual vision and was thus limited. Some think that when Jesus said man 'must be born
again' it may perhaps bear a reference to reincarnation; we do not put this interpretation on the words.
We understand them to mean that man can, when he is ready find a new birth.

''Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we know, and testify that we have seen; and ye
receive not our witness. If I have told you earthly things, and you believe not, how shall you believe, if
I tell you of heavenly things? And no man has ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from
heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness,
so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have
eternal life''. Jn 3: 11-15.

One would draw our attention to the saying, ''As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even
so must the Son of man be lifted up'' Verse 14. The Son of man means that which is born of the flesh.
The souls of men must be lifted up by a new birth . . . a new birth when the divine fire is raised in them.
As Christ, through Jesus said, ''I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto Me'' Jn 11:12-
32. I Christ, the Son of God, Christ the in-dweller, was in Jesus, thus Jesus was both the Son of God and
the Son of man, both divine and human.
We have often told you the purpose of man's incarnation, of man's life here on earth. Through pain,
perhaps, and also through and happiness man has slowly to develop his higher body, referred to by many
of the saints and masters of past and present; the body of light known as the solar body, or the celestial
body, as the Master Paul called it. Growth and development and full birth of this divine self or God-self
in man is a slow process, but it is the purpose of your life or being.
''As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness'' Verse 14. . . The serpent is symbolic of the
sacred fire kundalini, the solar force which, curled as a snake at the base of the spine, lies dormant in most
people, waiting to be awakened. This solar force, this creative power has to be raised up into the head and
the heart, under the full control of the Spirit; or through the Word (the Word of God which is love), so that
man becomes not a man of earth but of eternal life. This is the coming of the supreme Son, the light, the
life, in the form of Christ through Jesus. Although this light had been demonstrated through other initiates
in the past, there came through Jesus this full manifestation of the Christ life. The solar body of Jesus had
been brought to perfection; the Christ light manifested through him and spoke with authority, saying ''I
am the way the truth and the life'' Jn 14:6. That was this solar force, this divine life in him, which was
speaking. Thus the raising by Moses of the serpent in the wilderness was symbolic of the raising up of
Christ in the world; and also symbolic of the raising of the power of kundalini, the 'serpent' power, or the
transmutation of the creative force of the body from the lower centres to the heart and the head.

In the age of Aquarius into which we are now advancing, there will come to the earth a great baptism
of the spiritual Sun, there will come a great stimulation of the holy divine fire, the Christ spirit in the heart
of all peoples. You may say it is a long way ahead. You cannot be sure. We cannot; we do not know, but
we do know the spiritual laws which govern life. We know that the law is for the serpent fire gradually to
rise and illumine man's mind and his heart. We know that man's heart will then be filled with kindliness,
with love for God and his fellow creatures.
''That whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the
world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have
everlasting life.'' Jn 3:15-16.

'I am the life, I, Christ, the Son of God – I am the life.' because it is eternal life.' So when that life is
born into man, he inherits eternal life, because it is eternal life. The soul itself is not eternal, but the
divine spirit, the Son of God quickening within, can bestow eternal life upon it. Only when this birth
from above takes place does the soul become eternal.
Again Jesus gave the teaching concerning eternal life: 'Except you believe in me . . . Believe me that
I am in the Father and the Father in me . . . Believe on me and you shall be saved. I come to give you
life; I come to bring you out of darkness into light; 'I am the resurrection, and the life' Jn 11:25. Do
you not see my children, in the death of the physical body the great promise of the coming of the solar
being, the solar body? The physical, earthly body, the lower aspect of man, dies; but that supreme solar
body which is being brought into being, which is developing and evolving through incarnation after
incarnation, is leading man eventually to eternal life. Man does not enter upon eternal until the full
consciousness of the Christ life is born in him, until he has developed his solar body. This is the way that
all men must tread. The Christ speaking through Jesus made it so plain: 'I come that you will have eternal
life' --- the solar force, the Christ life and light. I come into you that you may use this creative force,
become a being of light. I come that you may be a master of your life, of your body, of your conditions,of
your circumstances in the world. ''I am the way, the truth and the life'' Jn 14:6.

''For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be
saved through Him. He who believes on Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned
already, because he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God. And this is the
condemnation, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than the Light,
because their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the
Light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who practices truth comes to the Light so that his works
may be revealed, that they exist, having been worked in God. After these things Jesus and His disciples
came into the land of Judea. And He stayed there with them and baptized. And John was also baptizing
in Enon near Salim, because there was much water there. And they came and were baptized. For John
had not yet been cast into prison. Then a question from John's disciples arose with the Jews about
purification, And they came to John and said to him, Rabbi, He who was with you beyond Jordan, to
whom you bore witness, behold, He baptizes, and all come to Him! And John answered and said, A man
can receive nothing unless it is given to him from Heaven. You yourselves bear witness to me that I said, I
am not the Christ, but that I am sent before Him. Jn 3:17-28. MKJV.
Orthodoxy conveys the idea that Jesus the man was saviour of mankind, instead of proclaiming to the
world that the divine limitless Spirit is the true Son of God and saviour of all men, divine fire born into
souls to quicken them, throughout all time as it was in the beginning, it is now and ever shall be . . .' Do
not limit this birth of the Christ spirit only to an event of two thousand years ago.

Can One Ever By Any One Road, Reach All Men!

''Seek you first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to
you''
But we all personally must put the kingdom first and foremost, disregarding as secondary all other
things! This would be our greatest error in not knowing the real truth concerning God's spiritual

kingdom. Furthermore this wonderful Kingdom, this Kingdom of God is based by most on a false concept
of the Spiritual! ''The natural (human man) receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are
foolishness to him . . . they are spiritually discerned'' or understood. The Kingdom to be understood
fully, cannot be understood by the natural man, or his mind but only by the Spirit of God.
When we are told by Jesus, ''I have overcome the world'' Are we catching who the I is. This I is the
one who healed the sick bodies, raised the dead and also walked on water. This I was not the humanity of
Jesus, but was the actual I that (believe it or not) that we each and every one of us possess. This in time,
will be revealed to All Men. As we have said before the great spiritual enemy that we each possess is our
natural man, that hateful enemy of our true spirituality. When we are told that ''even before the world
began each and every one of us were possessed in God and by God we were then lowered''. In the book
of Romans we read chapter 11:32.

''For God has consigned (penned up) all men to disobedience, only that He may have mercy on
them all [alike].'' Rom 11:32. Amplified.

''In one way or another, God makes sure that we all experience what it means to be outside so that
he can personally open the door and welcome us back in.'' Rom 11:32. The Message.

''All people have disobeyed God, and that's why he treats them as prisoners. But he does this, so
that he can have mercy on all of them''. Rom 11:32. Contemporary English Version.

Truth as a rule does not appeal to our reason, or our natural man. Why? ''For the natural man
cannot receive spiritual things of God''.

''But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to
him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.'' I Cor 2:14. MKJV.

The Mystery Of Godliness!

This is written especially to those who God has called, to those who are caught to be caught up to God
and His throne. Rev 12:5. No doubt we have all read the sentence ''The mystery of Godliness''. To
understand the real meaning of this term we need feeling rather than reason! In cultivating our spiritual
sense we become receptive to thoughts which come from within, we become hearers of the word rather
than speakers, we become attuned to Spirit rather than reason, in other words we learn to feel the harmony
of spiritual being!
As we put off the personal ego which has to do with our Adamic self and this of course (is where the
origin of the Adamic dream is from) and attain the divine consciousness of our immortality. Man cannot
enter upon eternal life until this consciousness is born within him. The truths of God will always be as
foolishness to the uninitiated.
Without illumination, we struggle with the forces of the world; we labour for a living ; we struggle to
maintain our place and position; we compete for riches or honours. Often we war with our friends and
even find ourselves at war with ourselves. There is no security in personal possessions even after the
battle to acquire them has been won. Illumination first brings peace and confidence.
Seeking a God outside of ourselves is not the true answer to what Jesus Himself intended for us.
Why? Jesus said the Kingdom of God is WITHIN YOU. The flesh our natural man does not hold the
answer! When mentioning a God on the outside, too long have we sought for our peace, health etc
outside of our consciousness. Let us now begin to go within and find that there is never a failure in the
realm of our consciousness. The real truth is in that knowing that in our true consciousness is where each
of us should be heading. As we begin to find the calmness and confidence we realise that there is an
infinite principle governing, guarding, guiding and protecting every step of our journey through life.
Do not be surprised that as the truth of these words begin to take effect and you find that your
consciousness is now leading you into a higher realm, and that the reality of your true identity, that is your

reality you had before the world began, this will become clear to you in a new way!
We must realise that this cannot be grasped in our natural thinking, never, spiritual truth must be
grasped only by spiritual understanding. As we begin to sense the change or more correctly the spiritual
feeling. The body begins to act from the stimulus coming from within. The wonderful closeness to your
God-consciousness is of course mighty when it first begins to be experienced.
One has said, ''Establish this truth within you, and it becomes your real being, not recognising or
placing your natural birth in the high position that we done have until now. The fulfilment of this
experience is the harmonious being experience that Jesus Christ, told us that ''as I am in the world so
shall you also be'' What a statement, think heavily on these words, did Jesus mean them for us? He
certainly did & as we meditate on these things we begin to discover who we really are, yes our true
identity. This is the mystery of Godliness. Think low or negative and this is what we will achieve. The
higher things of God, the promises of Jesus are surely attainable and God has promised every one of them
to ALL MEN and all men will eventually be persuaded that what He has promised will surely come to
pass. Glory to God. ''If I be lifted up from the earth I will draw ALL MEN unto myself'' In looking at
the context of this verse we are not surprised why some replace the word IF with the word when.
To receive the word of God in a spiritual consciousness sense, we need to - feel from within - rather
than to reason with the mind. Jesus tells us plainly that ''My Kingdom is NOT of this world'' or could we
say way of thinking. Have we yet left our our material self-hood and acknowledged ourselves to be a
higher spiritual being, even the manifestation of the Christ, Yes we are informed in the Book of
Revelation Chapter 12:5 that there is coming into being one called the Man-child who will be caught up
to God and His Throne. This is a many membered corporate Son who will if you can believe it, will be
''Caught up to God and His Throne''. The future for those who are seeking God in this manner is
stupendous.
We must spiritually rise to feed the 5 thousand, - as it were - without taking any natural thought to
where this is coming from. It is from out of our Christ-hood that the multitudes will be satisfied. This
will take place as when we have overcome the belief that we are mere natural, carnal human beings. Yes
we are leaving the Adamic Dream of our humanity and leaving it far, far behind and are taking a leap
into the true Christ consciousness of our Godliness. Yes we are being released from all CONCEPTS of
truth which come only by the grace of our divine Godliness.
Once again we do not seek a God who is on the outside of us but we seek the One in whose image we
were made, and may we add this does not only refer to what is written in Gen Chapter one, the actual
image is a spiritual one, the One we are told in Job 38:7 that we were created BEFORE the foundation of
the earth. Once again there are no limitations in this, our Divine Consciousness. A popular saying is 'the
sky is the limit' this does not do any justice to what ''God has prepared for them that love and follow
Him'' we are told more than once in the book of Psalms, ''I said that ye are gods'' look up the root word
and you will find it comes from Elohiym, up until recently not many could accept this.

When Jesus told the Jews in the 10 th Chapter of John that ''I and my Father are one'' they wanted to
stone Him, the answer that Jesus gave was ''Is it not written in your Law, I said, You are god’s'' this was
quoted from Ps 82:6-7, ''I have said, You are gods; & all of you are children of the most High. But you
shall die like men & fall like one of the princes.'' The word gods here is translated from the word
Elohiym which is both a singular & a plural word, similar to the word fish, or sheep, which can be used
either as singular or plural. The reason that we are told that we shall die like men is that there has been a
veil over the spiritual eyes of many as to the realisation of the true identity of God’s people; who are
OURSELVES!! Our battery was dead to the full truth of our divine identity, we needed a jump start. We
found one in Passover or Outer Court we found another in Pentecost or Holy Place now we are
experiencing the THIRD in the fruition of Tabernacles, which entails our Christ Consciousness. And so
we are now looking forward to the complete Redemption of our bodies
Remember this, the true meaning of what God has prepared for them that truly love Him was not yet
revealed, this is why in Jn 10 the Pharisees wanted to stone Him. Remember these things are not referring
to the natural man. We must not look for or to a power outside of ourselves. The Kingdom of God is
actually in every man, but until man learns to ''Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and all these thing

 Christ The Antidote Regarding Death

shall be added unto you'', unfortunately he will have to wait until that call becomes a reality.
Remember ''My Kingdom is not of this world''.
When all mankind comes into the consciousness of its true identity, there will be no wars, no
competition, no strife. As we gain the true consciousness of our true identity, we show it forth in a greater
sense of harmony, health, and success, and one by one we attract others who are seeking the same
experience. In this way all men will ultimately be brought into the Kingdom of heaven!

The Understanding Of Living To Seventy Or Thereabouts!

Most of Christendom have taken the popular understanding of our lives to be lived for seventy years or
thereabouts this is mentioned in Ps 90: 10. The Amplified would give us something different to consider!

''For all our days [out here in this wilderness, says Moses] pass away in Your wrath; we spend our
years as a tale that is told [for we adults know we are doomed to die soon, without reaching Canaan].
[Num. 14:26-35.] ''The days of our years are threescore years and ten (seventy years)--or even, if by
reason of strength, fourscore years (eighty years); yet is their pride [in additional years] only labor and
sorrow, for it is soon gone, and we fly away.'' Ps 90:9-10. Amplified.

We are inserting a very interesting footnote that the Amplified has to say on this most interesting
subject.

This Psalm is credited to Moses who is interceding with God to remove the curse which made it
necessary for every Israelite over twenty years of age (when they rebelled against God at Kadesh-barnea)
to die before the before reaching the promised land (Num 14:26-35) Moses says most of them are dying
at seventy years of age. This number has often been mistaken as a set span of life for all mankind. It was
not intended to refer to anyone except to those Israelites under the curse during that particular forty
years. Seventy years never has been the average age for all of mankind. When Jacob the father of the 12
tribes had reached 130 years (Gen 47:9) he complained that he had not attained to the years of his
immediate ancestors. In fact Moses himself lived to be 120 years old, Aaron 123, Miriam several years
older, and Joshua 110 years of age. Note as well that in the Millenium a person dying at 100 will still be
thought a child, Isa 65:20.

No doubt many would not yet agree with the above but if we care to do a little research we may be
inclined to upgrade our opinion. What we believe we are inclined to accept into our way of thinking
[even if it be a lie] which can easily deceive us as this has been the case for many believers in
Christendom for yonks. Today we see a great change taking place. We only have to look at the age
people are living today, as it is quite common for people to be living to their century and over.
