bind off 1 st at beg of every foll RS row 30 (29,
30, 30) times and, AT SAME TIME, when piece
measures same length as back, shape armhole

SAME TIME, when piece measures same length
as back, shape armhole as foll: Bind off 3 sts at
beg of next RS row; then bind off 2 sts at beg of
every foll RS row 2 times; then bind off 1 st at beg
of every foll RS row 3 (5, 7, 9) times. Work even
until armhole measures 6 (6½, 7, 7½)”/15 (16.5,
18, 19)cm. Cont working over rem 11 sts for strap
for an additional 28 rows—3½”/9cm. Bind off
rem 11 sts.
FINISHING
Block pieces to measurements. With MC and E
crochet hook, work 1 row sc across back edge.
With CC and D crochet hook, work 2 rows sl st
along armhole and neck edge of left front. Note:
On 2nd sl st row, insert hook into back lp only of
previous sl st row. Work 1 row sc across straight
edge between cast-on edge and beg of neck
shaping. With CC and E crochet hook, work
around armhole and neck edge of right front as
given for left front. Sew side seams. Seam straps
at back neck. With dpn (or a knitting spool), and
holding MC and CC tog, work 3 I-cords, each
about 30”/76cm. Sew to straight edge between
cast on and beg of neck shaping as shown
in photo.
