Youtube Banner Creation

The Oklahoma Student Government Association is looking to revamp their social media
platforms by creating new advertisement banners for the social media headers. These platforms
include Facebook, Twitter and Youtube. These media pieces are to include the organizations
logo colors, the organization name, organization logo, organization website url and the
organization social media logos in the order as presented on the website.

Table of Contents Magazine Design

The Table of Contents page of the magazine shall include a modern yet professional design of
the page information throughout the magazine and a snippet info portion for schools to utilize
when requesting a school visit from an OSGA officer. In the snippet info portion there shall be a
QR code that will send students directly to the form to request a school visit.

Extending the overall view of the design, the Table of Contents is designed to resemble a modern
emphasis on the style. It offers a brief yet informative description of the page along with the
respected page number.

Camp OSGA Ad Design

Camp OSGA is a new idea that is in the works for the spring or fall semester. It is identical to the
Presidential Retreat that the organization hosts annually. The Presidential Retreat is aimed at
current student government presidents throughout the state of Oklahoma. Camp OSGA is
focused primarily on members of student government associations who are interested in one day
being the president for their student government. It offers a separate retreat for student leaders
who wish to do more within their student government associations.

Camp OSGA Ad Creation

The design I created looked better on paper but in creation, it disappointed the eye. In my
opinion, this piece is far below my expectations developed during the creation process. I have
emailed this version to the Board of Directors with a submission of another version. In the
original design, the state Capitol was suppose to be in the background but it did not blend well.
The squares that hold the pictures were too cumbersome and could not hold any picture unless it
was increased in size or resolution. This caused the picture to blow up or positioned awkwardly.
Also, the unused space leaves a feeling of confusion.

This Ad design did not meet the standards I had in place from the beginning. I spent quite some
time studying the image and attempting a resolution but the graphics were far too gone. I
submitted the graphic with a note attached adhering to another version sometime in the future. I
will use this as an opportunity to learn what not to do in an advertisement.

Magazine Back Page Design & Creation

The back and front cover pages of the magazine are the essential components of this product. It
is the first and last pieces of information and graphic that the audience will see when starting and
concluding the magazine.

The front cover page has gone through an extensive revision that includes two versions: Primary
vector graphic of the state capitol as version one and then a live graphic of the state capitol for
version two. Neither of these versions meet the vision that myself or the Board of Directors have
for the front cover photo. Saying that, I decided to use the Capitol graphic used previously for
the back cover page and attach 15% opacity to the graphic. This offers substance where there
was once empty space. I’m torn on the balance of the finished product but am submitting it for
review to the Board of Directors.
