ABOUT SRM INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Mathematics is one of the pioneering
departments in the university. The Department of Mathematics
established in the year 1985, consists of 86 highly qualified faculty
members which includes 56 doctorates. The Department, till date,
has produced 31 Ph.Ds in different branches of Mathematics. There
are 35 recognized guides (of whom eight are doctorates from IITs)
who are guiding 92 research scholars. Over the years, the
department has progressed at a rapid pace with development in
academic programs. The department has to its credits two funded
research projects from BARC, SERB-DST. It offers graduate,
postgraduate courses, Ph.D program in Mathematics and handles
all the Mathematics courses in Engineering, Computer Applications,
