Air circuit-breakers are required everywhere –
whether in the in-feed or the load feeder or to pro-
tect plants, systems and motors. There are many
reasons why these air circuit-breakers should be
called SENTRON 3WL:

Because SENTRON 3WL seamlessly covers the
current range from 630 A to 6300 A – with
only three sizes. Whether with 3- and 4-pole
circuit-breakers, whether fixed-mounted or with-
drawable-unit design, whether for AC or DC.
Further, three circuit-breaker classes from 50 kA
to 100 kA and six different trip units are available.

Because SENTRON 3WL offers more possi-
bilities in the smallest space. They are packed
with features for every function you may require:
From basic overload and short-circuit protection
through communication interface up to displaying
harmonics and characteristics on the generous
graphics display.

Because SENTRON 3WL is the only circuit-
breaker where a second parameter set can be
selected. If the line supply conditions change, e. g.
when changing over to generator operation, the
air circuit-breaker 3WL automatically changes over
to the second parameter set in best time –
optimally adapting the trip unit characteristic to
the new situation.

conditions – with the rated-current module, the
circuit-breaker can be set in just seconds to the
matching rated current – and that already from
100 A onwards.

Because SENTRON 3WL makes your plant or
system transparent – this is ensured by our
seamless, integrated communications solution –
also with the SENTRON moulded-case circuit-
breakers. A complete overview at a glance using
just one single piece of software.

Because SENTRON 3WL can take a lot. It can
even be used up to 70°C. This is extremely important
as things can quickly get quite hot due to the
increasingly more compact arrangement in electrical
cabinets.

Because SENTRON 3WL is also available as a
version with two approvals for one device –
namely the circuit-breaker 3WL5 with IEC and UL
approval. This means that you have a degree of
flexibility as never before. For the same design, the
same envelope dimensions and the same handling
you are certainly on the safe side – and that doubly
