Geography-Australia/New Zealand or Tropical Pacific Realms

As we move from one geographical region to another, life becomes different. Most

people wonder what life is like in some of the countries, especially those that are isolated and

separate from the rest of the world. Australia, being a continent and a continent at the same time,

is one of those countries. I chose Australia because is a country that most people find fascinating

to live in, regardless of its geographical location. In addition, it has not changed much in more

than a million years ago.

The climate in Australia is warm, with little rainfall. For this reason, Australians love the

outdoor life whether it is swimming, surfing, skating or just hanging out the beach, which they

regard as their home. In addition, most part of the country is characterized by deserts and steppes

climates (Pretty et al, 2007). Majority of the population prefers to live on or near the coast. Being

near the water is medicinal for the residents, as it is healing and a source of happiness. Even if it

is not to swim, just looking at the ocean can be very therapeutic for many Australians.

Even if some say that Australia is like the United States 50 years ago, it is still the most

expensive place to live in the world. The country has everything ranging from beautiful beaches,

the Great Barrier Reef, cities with culture galore climates (Pretty et al, 2007). Basically living in

Australia is a wonderful quality of life even if one has to pay for it. The weather can be totally

insane as it has led people to believe that it is possible to experience 4 seasons in one day. Those

who have been to Australia probably know that the perimeter of the country is where the magic

happens. There are 8 major cities but in the center of the country there is literally nothing.
