Medal of Honor is a first person shooter that takes place in a modern setting
and centers around Tier 1 Operators, elite special forces. This walkthrough is
for the single player portion of the game only as multiplayer gameplay is wide-
ranging. This FAQ is written for the XBOX 360 though there shouldn't be too
much difference compared to the PS3 and PC versions. This FAQ is written
assuming the difficulty is set to Hard and a general familiarity with first
person shooters. There may be minor differences in gameplay on lower
difficulties.

* Cover is your friend, you will die if you're out in the open.
* Always use the LB to peek and lean. It allows you to get shots downrange and
get back in cover as soon as you start taking damage.
* When you get hit, wait for your health to regenerate.
* Your pistol has infinite ammo and can kill with one headshot! It is always a
good backup if you're running low on ammo.
* Reload whenever you're not shooting, you don't want to run out of bullets in
the middle of shooting an enemy.
* Your AI teammates are invincible and will do some of the work for you, let
them! Keep your head down whenever you can.
* Setting your fire mode to single shot will help conserve ammo and make your
shots more accurate.
* If you're ever unsure of where to go next press up on the d-pad and it will
often indicate where to go.
* You can shoot through most cover including boxes, fences and walls, so if you
can see their weapon sticking out, shoot them anyway and you might kill them.

There are 29 achievements for a total of 500 gamerscore in the single player
campaign. There is an addition achievement for 100 gamerscore for beating each
mission in Tier 1 Mode under par time but that is separate from the regular
campaign. These are the achievements you can get in the campaign, how much
they're worth, a search code to quickly find where to earn it, and the
description of how to earn it.

In this mission you play Rabbit, part of AFO Neptune. After the opening
cinematics the game prompts you through a quick movement and looking tutorial
and asks if you want to invert your Y axis. Head out the doorway and down the
alley. After it curves slightly to the left 2 enemies will appear at the end of
the alley. Hug the right wall and crouch behind the dumpster. Kill these two
enemies and the alley turns right with 3 more enemies at the end and another in
a building to your right. Killing these enemies triggers 3 more enemies to
appear on the second floor balcony at the end of the alley. If you take your
time, you can easily shoot from cover and kill all these enemies with
headshots, earning you the Right in the Grape... (*AC25) achievement.
Move to the metal door that's indicated where your teammate, Voodoo, will toss
a grenade inside. Crouch under and sprint through the door across the way to
get an easy knife kill on the enemy stumbling away. If you make the effort to
switch to your pistol and use your knife throughout the campaign you will earn
The Scalpel (*AC23) and Pistol Pete Showdown (*AC24) achievements for knife and
pistol kills respectively.
Jump over the barrels blocking the hallway and follow it to the right. Voodoo
will open the door on the right, which leads to another alley. As you move down
the alley an enemy will run across the end and you will see your other two
teammates, Preacher and Mother, on the second floor. In the courtyard to your
left are 4 enemies hiding amongst the rubble. Kill them all triggers 3 more to
appear on the balcony at the end of the courtyard.
Kick in the door and kill the enemy inside. Melee the fusebox to kill the
lights and then switch to night vision. Voodoo opens the door and you proceed
down the hallway. In the room at the end of the hallway are 3 enemies who are
blind, allowing you to easily knife them. Continue through the kitchen area and
there are 4 more enemies in the room on the right. Shoot or knife them and
follow the stairs up and then right to knife the guy in the hallway. Turn left
and kick the door down for a room with 2 enemies hiding behind cover.
Proceed out onto the balcony and left for a room with 1 enemy inside. Voodoo
will open the orange door on the left, which leads upstairs to a room with 2
enemies inside and a few more on a balcony across the way. Voodoo will throw a
grenade onto the balcony, killing most of them.
Mother opens a door on your right and you follow your teammates down the alley
to some buildings with a machinegun across the way. Crouch to avoid the
machinegun fire and make your way across bridge and up the stairs into the
building. Two enemies will appear on the roof above you and a cutscene will
play when you move far enough along the building.
Voodoo opens the door and you follow the path through the alleys. 3 enemies are
scattered up the stairs and tend to take cover where you don't see them from
below. Follow Voodoo and you meet up with the rest of your teammates again. Go
through the door Voodoo opens and down into the courtyard where a bunch of
enemies appear on the balconies above you and on street level across from you.
Keep killing enemies until one of your teammates throws a grenade to open the
gate of the big building across from you. Take cover behind the truck because 2
enemies will open the door for you and start shooting. Follow Mother upstairs
and another cutscene plays.
Mother opens the door down the hall and you drop down into, surprise, more
alleys. Fight your way through the alley to the fort and wait for the missile
strike to blast open the gate. Move in and take cover from the machinegun. Move
up through the rocks and look to your left for a lit door, a bunch of boxes and
an enemy. Run for these boxes and wait for 2 enemies to open the door. Follow
the tunnel inside, watch for the enemy who appears around the corner on your
left where the tunnel has a S bend.
Continue to the end of the tunnel, boost up to Mother, and kill the 4 enemies
outside. Switch your shotgun for the Dragunov SVD and kill the enemy in the
second story window across the courtyard and then the enemies in the courtyard.
Move to your left and repeat with this courtyard.
Follow Mother through the door and down to the barn. There are grenades inside
a box on the left if you need to refill. Preacher opens this next door and you
fight your way through another alley to 2 wooden doors. Kick in the left on and
hug the left wall. There are 6 enemies inside but they will mostly concentrate
on your teammates who kicked in the other door. Continue outside to another
wooden door. Kick this door down and you will go into slow motion as you draw
your pistol and the rest of your team shoots up the bad guys. You only have to
worry about the bad guy who grabs the prisoner out of the chair. Shoot him in
the head and receive the Smooth Operator (*AC11) achievement. Move to the back
of the truck and that completes the mission, earning you the First Incision
(*AC01) achievement.

5.2 Breaking Bagram . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . *WM02
_______________________________________________________________________________
You begin this mission in the passenger seat of a truck with a light machine
gun. You are encouraged to shoot the enemies that you pass along the way, but I
don't think you have to as I've gotten through the first part without firing a
shot. Once you come to a stop you switch to the machine gun mounted on the back
of the truck and shoot the masses of enemies that are defending the gate and
the enemy truck that decides to come play. Once again, I was able to not fire a
shot and get through this so it's more like an interactive cutscene.
You'll move on to some ruins where you dismount and have to fight about 10
enemies. Follow your team further into the ruined building and kill about
another half dozen enemies before proceeding upstairs. Move to the corner where
you use the SOFLAM laser designator to call in an air strike on the gatehouse
in the distance. After you level the gatehouse an APC moves in and you have to
call in another strike to kill the APC.
Follow your team back down into the ruins and fight your way through the
courtyard and up onto the balcony where 2 enemies wait. Switch to the M14 and
from this balcony you can snipe the mortar crew across the next courtyard. Take
them out and another group of enemies will come out of the next building. Snipe
them too and then proceed down into the courtyard and upstairs into the
building they exited. You'll find grenades here if you need any.
Continue to the blown out room and shoot the enemies around the 2 mortars to
your right. Hop down to the blue fence and wait for Preacher to open it. Move
past the camo fence and turn left into the airplane graveyard. The last mortar
has 4 enemies around it. Kill them and more enemies appear further down in the
graveyard. Snipers will be in the airplanes that are stacked on the second
level.
Continue fighting your way through the graveyard until you see the warehouse
with a machine gun on the second story, left side. Crouch and flank around the
right side to avoid the machine gun. Kill the enemy in this area and then
proceed into the warehouse. Voodoo will kick down the blue door, go inside and
enemies will run in on ground level and on the catwalk. Kill them and a vehicle
and more guys come in the far side. Clear the warehouse, go up and cross the
catwalk. More grenades are available for you in the room at the end of the
catwalk and wait for Voodoo to open the red door at the far end.
Go down the stairs into a courtyard with more enemies and a machine gun on a
balcony. Use the cover and move up to the hanger. Enemies will be to your right
inside the partition rooms in the middle of the hanger. You can pick the left
ground level route, or go upstairs on the right. Either way you have to push up
and kill the enemies on the other side of the hanger. Preacher opens the hanger
doors and you proceed outside.
Turn left and you'll see an air traffic control tower. Stay behind the boxes
and kill the enemies in the tower. Follow your teammates upstairs into the
building across the way. If you're low on M14 ammo you can switch to the
Dragunov SVD in this room. Snipe the enemies that run out on the tower and one
of your teammates will throw smoke. Hop down and cross the courtyard to kick in
a door into the tower.
Enemies will be to your left and a machine gun is at the end of the hallway.
Clear the hallway and your teammates will open the red door with a bang. Follow
your teammates upstairs and clear the second floor. Kick in the wooden door and
clear the next rooms. Voodoo will open the wooden door and trigger a little
cutscene. There are no more enemies so run up the stairs to the SOFLAM spot and
bring down the rain.
For this portion you pretty much just call in fire as much as you can and watch
the fireworks. Switch between all your options while they cool down for the
most bang for your buck. You start with the GAU-8, which is a strafing run. You
can designate the location and direction of the run. Trucks will appear and you
can switch to hellfire missiles to take them out. Three tanks will appear on
the right side. Hellfire the first one and then switch to your new toy, the
GBU-24, a guided bomb. Paint the second tank and then guide the bomb between
the second and third tank. It has a huge blast so hitting between the tanks
will kill them both, earning you The Sledgehammer (*AC12) achievement. After
this you get the Mk. 84, which is a 2000 lb unguided bomb. Keep calling in fire
and destroying the vehicles that appear and you finish the mission, receiving
the Welcome to the TOC (*AC02) achievement.

5.3 Running with Wolves... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . *WM03
_______________________________________________________________________________
This mission has you playing as Deuce, part of AFO Wolfpack. You'll hop onto
ATVs and follow Dusty. Switch optics and hit LB to turn off your headlights,
they're not needed with the night vision and you won't have to worry about
turning them off later in the mission. Follow the paths at full throttle and
try to hit any bumps or hills your can see. If you're going fast enough and get
enough air you'll receive the Dropping Deuce (*AC13) achievement.
Stop where Dusty stops for the trucks to pass then follow him to where you get
off your ATV. Move up onto the ridge and snipe the guard on the wall. Follow
Dusty to the left and enter the village. You can complete this mission by
stealth or by force. The stealth option is much easier than the guns blazing
option so I'll be covering it.
Follow Dusty to where you see two guards. Kill one and Dusty will take care of
the other. You'll come to a large gate that Dusty stops at. Turn left and enter
the building to cover Dusty. Snipe the guard in the tower and then the roof on
the right. A group of enemies will run out the building across the way, kill
them all. Follow your teammates into the building the enemy just exited. Listen
to some banter and then head outside. Follow Dusty to the right, back to your
ATVs, and on to the next part of the mission.
You'll get off your ATV facing another village with a M82 sniper rifle. Switch
optics to see the enemies clearly. Wait for them to stop moving before taking
your shots. Kill the 4 enemies there and you hop onto your ATV and move out
again. You'll follow Dusty to another village, get off and follow him in.
Stay behind Dusty and follow his instructions. Don't shoot unless he says to or
you get spotted. Kill the guy in the doorway and Dusty will mark the truck.
Follow Dusty around the corner and stay behind him in the corner as the enemy
walks past. Cross to the building and turn left. Kill one of the guards outside
the door and Dusty takes care of the other. Dusty will climb onto the roofs so
follow your waypoints and his instructions to proceed. Dusty will kill the
guard at the truck allowing you to mark the second truck. Get to the back of
the truck as 2 guards will come around the corner to its front. Kill one and
Dusty gets the other.
Cross to Dusty and boost up. You'll come to a courtyard with guards patrolling.
Don't move in until Dusty says it's clear and then sprint to the building
across the way. Knife the guy inside and use that door to make your way to the
third truck. Mark it and retrace your steps back to the building. Stop at the
doorway and kill the guard who enters. Hold at the exit until Dusty says it's
safe to cross then sprint over and boost up.
Follow Dusty back through a building to a group of enemies that you'll have to
engage. Start with the one on the second story and then kill the rest. From
here take point to the left and up the stairs onto the wall. Knife the guy
around the corner and proceed to the end. Turn left to see 3 more enemies below
you. Wait for Dusty to tell you to take them out and then kill them. Hop down
and Dusty will open the door. Follow him, boost up and run back to your ATV.
Follow Dusty through the gate on the left and continue on to the end of the
mission and your Develop the Situation (*AC03) achievement.

5.4 Dorothy's a Bitch . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . *WM04
_______________________________________________________________________________
You're back to Rabbit and AFO Neptune. Follow your teammates up the mountain to
3 enemies standing around. Kill one and your teammates take care of the rest.
Move up to the bodies and wait for the patrol above you to move on. Hop down
and follow your team up to a campfire. Toss a grenade into the fire to kill the
enemies around it and get you the Crowd Control (*AC26) achievement. The sixth
guy is invincible until he throws something into the fire as a signal, then you
or your teammates can take him out.
Follow your team and assault the AAA position. Kill all the enemies and then
plant a demo charge on the gun. Move over to your team, boost up and turn
around to watch your handiwork when you blow the charge. Follow your team along
the mountain until you see some familiar trucks making their way along a road.
Hop on the SOFLAM and paint them for your friendly AC130 to light them up.
Follow your team up to a village and clear the enemy patrols. Mother will place
a plank to use as a ladder up and proceed into the ruins left by your AC130's
handiwork. Move along and you'll trigger a little cutscene. Keep following your
team, kick in the door and move through the cave. There is a lone enemy on the
ground where the cave turns to the right. Exit the cave and wait for Mother to
give the go ahead to engage the enemy camp below you, then kill them all.
Follow the path behind the camp and watch as your AC130 takes out another group
of bad guys on the ridge. Move up on the ridge and you get to use the SOFLAM
again to rain hell on the camp below. In order to get the Fear the Reaper
(*AC14) achievement you have to kill all the enemies and blow up all the tents
in the camp. Use the 105mm shots and take your time to line up on each tent and
group of enemies. Scan around and look for any stray muzzle shots.
Follow Voodoo around to a cave, which leads down to the remains of the camp.
Turn to the left and follow Voodoo up the path to an ammo dump with an RPG.
Pick up the RPG and shoot the crates on the ridge to blow up the AAA shooting
at your AC130. That completes the mission and nets you the Unexpected Guests
(*AC04) achievement.

5.5 Belly of the Beast . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . *WM05
_______________________________________________________________________________
This mission has you playing as SPC. Dante Adams, part of the 1st BN 75th Ranger
Regt. Follow your team through the riverbed and jump over the fallen tree.
Continue around to the left and engage the enemy who appear. Fight your way
along the riverbed and you'll come to a destroyed bridge that you use as a ramp
up to a path that leads to a village. Fight your way through the village and
your team will break into a hut. Watch out for 2 enemies behind the fence on
your right. Continue pushing through the village, and you'll get to another hut
that your team will break into. There are grenades here for you if you need
them.
Proceed outside and you'll get to a position overlooking a machinegun nest.
Your job for this part of the mission is to suppress the machinegun so Sgt.
Patterson can mark it with a smoke grenade. Move up to the cover on the right
and shoot at the machinegun. A symbol will appear above it when you have
suppressed it allowing you to shoot at other targets or reload. Keep sending
bursts at the machinegun when the symbol starts to fade to keep it suppressed.
If you keep the machinegun suppressed from the start you should get the Manic
Suppression (*AC15) achievement.
Move through the ruins and hop the short stone wall. Follow your team down into
another riverbed. Enemies will appear in the rocks above you and in the
riverbed. Fight your way along until you get to a fallen tree. Hop over and
follow the path down to a hut. Approach the door and trigger a short cutscene.
You'll be behind a wall with a bunch of enemies coming down the hill towards
you. When Sgt. Patterson tells you to cross to the hut to your left do so or
you'll die when the wall gets blown up. Once at the hut you have to hold out
until help can arrive. Waves of enemies will attack you and the hut will slowly
get destroyed by enemy fire. You can fight your way through this part laying
into the enemy with your light machinegun but there is an easy way to live
through this part.
Exit the hut and move to the back of the hut, on the side opposite where the
enemies are coming at you from. Facing the hut there is a nook where the hut
meets some rocks. If you go prone in this nook you're pretty safe from enemy
fire and go last through this section without really firing a shot. Surviving
will complete this mission and award you the Full Battle Rattle (*AC05)
achievement.

5.6 Gunfighters . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . *WM06

This was my second favorite mission because you get to be the gunner of an
Apache. You play as CPT. Brad "Hawk" Hawkins of the 1st BN, 2nd Aviation Regt.
RT shoots your machinegun, RB fires rockets, LT zooms and LB launches Hellfire
missiles. You need to be in targeting mode to mark for Hellfires. A box will
appear that you need to aim at, hold LB to lock on and release to launch the
missile.
You'll watch as a group of people set up a mortar and you'll start engaging
enemies in targeting mode. Launch Hellfires at the 3 mortar locations and then
you'll move on. You'll fly towards a village with 3 trucks moving towards it.
Once you can fire, shoot the trucks with your gun and start lighting up the
village. Use your gun to take out soldiers and your rockets to blow up
buildings. Take out enough buildings and you'll get the It Takes A
Village...Out (*AC16) achievement.
Your wingman, Gunfighter 06 took some fire over the village and can no longer
shoot. They do, however, mark targets for your Hellfires in targeting mode so
you don't have to, allowing you to fire at targets they mark. You'll crest a
ridge with some enemies and trucks on it. Blast them as you go and Gunfighter
06 will mark a target for you on the next ridge. Launch a Hellfire at it and
you'll fly over the ridge and turn left. She'll mark another target, blast it
and you'll continue around to a camp on the other side of another ridge. Take
out enemies as you loop around the camp and launch your Hellfire at the RPG
team Gunfighter 06 marks at the top of the ridge. You'll make another pass
around the camp and then the mortar team embedded in the rocks will be marked
for you. Blast them and then you'll make another pass to blast any remaining
enemies.
You'll fly to the next ridge where you'll be ambushed by RPG teams guarding
another mortar embedded in the rocks. As you come around Gunfighter 06 will
mark the ammo dump for you to Hellfire. Light up the remaining enemies with
guns and rockets, and make sure you take out the AA gun to the right of the
mortar and the vehicle to the left. You'll make a pass over the ridge to take
out some guys on top and then you'll line up to take out the mortar. Once it's
marked take it out and that's the end of the mission, earning you the Bad Guy
Jamboree (*AC06) achievement.

5.7 Friends From Afar . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . *WM07

I love sniping so this was my favorite part of the game. You're back as Deuce
of AFO Wolfpack and you're long range sniping from mountain to mountain. Switch
optics to see your targets easier and proceed to take out bad guys. Zoom out to
find your targets and zoom in to shoot them. If you aim for the head, upper
torso, lower torso, legs and arms you'll get the Like a Surgeon (*AC17)
achievement.
Enemies will trip the claymores defending your location, warning you of
incoming hostiles. You'll switch to your small arms and take out the enemy
closing on you. Once the third claymore gets tripped Dusty tells you to fall
back. Run up the hill to some rock cover at the top and kill the remaining bad
guys following you. Follow Dusty around to another clearing where you ambush
some more enemies. Kill them all.
You'll follow Dusty up to a ridge overlooking a camp with 4 enemies. Switch
optics to spot them easier and snipe them all. Follow Dusty to a new overwatch
position where you'll be long range sniping again. Switch optics to spot your
enemies and send some pain. Cover Neptune's retreat and that finishes the
mission earning you the Friends From Afar (*AC07) and Have a Good One (*AC29)
achievements.

5.8 Compromised . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . *WM08

Once again you're Rabbit of AFO Neptune and you are falling back with your
team. You'll start in cover and you should stay in it, only popping up to kill
enemies. Mother will pop a smoke grenade enabling the team to fall back under
cover and you run down the hill to a ruin.
Use the ruin as cover as you kill enemies following you and then fall back down
the path towards your extraction. Move through to the end of the path and hole
up in the ruins there. Get on the SOFLAM and mark the hut for bombardment then
defend your position from the attackers who assault your position. Mother will
toss a smoke grenade to cover your retreat then turn around and boost up over
the back wall triggering a short cutscene at the end of which you get an M60
light machinegun.
Move with your team through the destroyed village, gunning down any enemies you
come across. Kill 15 and you'll get the Feeding the Pig (*AC18) achievement.
Fight your way down the hill and sprint for the chopper. Once you reach it
you'll take the tail gun and provide covering fire for your team's escape. Get
through this part and the mission is over, earning you the Cliffhanger...
(*AC08) achievement.

5.9 Neptune's Net . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . *WM09

You start off alone, slightly dazed, and armed only with your knife. Proceed
along the path and you'll ambush a guard with his back turned. Do not use the
AKs the enemy carry if you want to complete this mission stealthily and get the
bonus achievement. Turn right and follow this path. There will be a guard on
your right with his back turned, kill him quietly with your knife or the
suppressed pistol you got from the first guard. At the end of the path are 2
guards facing a cliff with their backs to you. Knife the one on the left and
then the one on the right. Follow the path along the cliff edge to the left and
then hide from the approaching patrol either up to the left or right. Wait for
them to pass and then continue down the path to trigger a cutscene.
Follow the path up and you'll come across 9 enemies around a campfire. Take the
path up to the right and shot that enemy in the head. Now go for the enemy on
the ridge to the right of the bridge and shoot him in the head, followed by the
enemy on the bridge. Next take out the enemy who goes up towards Mother and
then turn around to take out the enemy who is approaching your location. Turn
right towards the cave and take out the enemy going through them. Turn back
towards the fire and shoot the far enemy. Wait for the close enemy to turn
towards you and shoot the second one and then finish off the last enemy. If you
did this properly you should not have warned anybody and you'll get The Quiet
Professional (*AC19) achievement.
Follow Mother, boost up and hide under the bridge. Don't move and let the
patrol pass, then follow the river around to the left. Take the left path as
Mother tells you to and watch as the patrol crosses the bridge in front of you.
Wait until Mother tells you to take out the enemy and then kill one, Mother
will get the other.
Proceed under and around the bridge to another two guards. Shoot one and Mother
takes out the other, then continue to move forward. 3 more guards are at the
top of the ridge, take them out. Continue down the path and you'll get spotted
by a patrol. Mother distracts them allowing you to run to the right and take
cover in the rocks. Kill any enemies you encounter and push up to the cave
Mother indicates. Defend yourself from the cave until all the enemies are dead.
Follow Mother over the ridge, boost up and then continue on into the hut.
You'll get attacked from outside the hut, go prone to take cover from the fire.
The hut will explode triggering a small cutscene and then Mother will drag you
to cover. You get the pistol while you're being dragged, use it to kill the
enemies who will run in. Get pulled through and another cutscene will play,
ending the mission and netting you the S.E.R.E. (*AC09) and Never Quit (*AC28)
achievements.

5.10 Rescue the Rescuers . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . *WM10

You're back to Dante and you'll begin the mission manning the minigun. While
you're gunning down the approaching enemies take the time to chop down some of
the trees that are near your targets or that they take cover behind. Doing so
will earn you the Timber! (*AC20) achievement. Eventually an RPG will hit the
chopper and you'll have to exit.
Move up cover to cover and kill any enemies you come across. You should
eventually hear your air support stand by over the radio and then proceed to
mark the machinegun nest with the SOFLAM. Push further along the path and more
enemies to a second machinegun position. Move amongst the cover and mark that
gun with the SOFLAM as well. At the end of the path CPL. Hernandez will get
injured and Tech Sgt. Ybarra will stay with him while you and Sgt. Patterson
continue into the caves.
Keep following the caves to the right, killing the enemies you encounter along
the way. You'll come to a large room where the enemy sets off flares. Fight
your way through the next few rooms and proceed down the rest of the caves to
meet up with some friendlies. There are 2 Dragunov SVDs outside the cave exit
that you can pick up.
Follow the path down the hill to an enemy camp. Fight your way through this
camp and the clearing beyond it and then turn left to approach another enemy
camp. Clear out the enemies inside then boost up and follow your team along the
mountain.
You'll come to another clearing with a bunch of enemies. Take out the RPGs and
defend yourself until a Predator strike can take out the machinegun. Follow
your team into another cave with one enemy inside. The tunnel ends in a door
that you kick in to finish the mission, earning the Eight Heroes Aboard
(*AC10), Rangers Lead the Way (*AC27), The Battle is Won... (*AC21) and ...But
the War Rages On. (*AC22) achievements. Congratulations, you've finished the
single player campaign.
