CHAPTER 1 BEFORE INSTALLATION ........................................................... - 4 -
Please go through the installation manual before the install the device. The correct
installation method will lead you finish the successful installation in a short time. If
install in an incorrect way, it will damage the device.
1. Make sure your power supply is on “OFF” status. Else it may damage the device
or the core part of the device if you turn on the power during the installation.
2. For all the connection cable, the core should not be exposed for longer than
5MM. It’s better to use the insulating tape on the connection area, and use
different color cable to differentiate the cables. Refer to the following picture:
4. Please connect the power cable after connecting all other cables. When you
found that the device cannot work properly, please cut off the power and check
all the connection. Note: all wiring operation with live may lead to damage the
device. Warranty does not apply under this damage.
6. Please make sure someone is outside the door during you testing the door
opening function to avoid any accident that you cannot open the door.
7. It’s recommended to use the 12V/3A DC power supply for this access control
device. PS: it’s recommended to use the 1A/12V DC door lock. If the electric lock
spec is lower than this spec, please consult the engineer. If the power supply
does not meet the above requirement, the lock may not be active normally.
8. Please strictly follow the “installation manual” to install the device. Otherwise,
any device damage coz the incorrect wiring is not under the warranty.
10.(Optional) when use the RS485 connection, please use the professional 485
communication cable and the active converter RS485 with bus structure wiring. When
the RS485 transmission distance is longer than 100 meter, need to add a matching
resistance at the beginning terminal and the end terminal of the RS485 Bus. (R is
around 120Ω.)

Before connecting, please make sure that the power supply has been cut off. It may
damage the device if the wires are connected in electrified state. Refer to the following

The Open button is the door switch device installed in the room. The door opens when
this button is closed. The Open button is fixed on the wall in the room at the height
about 1.4m from the floor. The Open button should be protected from electromagnetic
disturbance (e.g. the lighting switch and PC will cause electromagnetic disturbance).
3.2.3 Alarm
The doorbell terminal of this device is directly connected to the doorbell button on the
panel. You just need to connect the existing doorbell button cable to Door bell port in
the device.
The installation of the door lock depends on its type and the influence caused by the
circuit resistance should be considered to select power cord for the lock. Make sure the
door lock is firm and the connection is proper. For electric bolt and magnetic lock,
please make sure that the polarity is correct. If there is any cable left, please cut off the
bare end and wrap with insulation adhesive tape separately.
Selecting door lock: for glass double-door (open either inside or outside), please
select Electric bolt. For wood single door in offices (open only inside or outside),
Connecting electric bolt: this fingerprint access control device support the NO
(Normally Open) and NC (Normally Closed) lock connection.
1) NO (Normally Open): When in energized, the lock keeps open, de-energized, lock
keeps closed. It should connect to the NC interface.
Method A: When energized, Lock keep Closed (Share the Power Supply with the
Fingerprint Access Control Device)
Method B: When energized, Lock keep Open (Share the Power Supply with the
Fingerprint Access Control Device)

2) Connect fingerprint access control device to computer via the switch/ HUB straight
through cable connection.
When use the RS485 connection, we should follow the bus network structured for
wiring.
When in a long distance or high speed, there would be echo talker in circuit. This
would lead that the RS485 connection cannot work well. We would consider to parallel
a resistance (120Ω) at begin and end of the circuit. (Normally, we don't need to add
this resistance.)

1) After the device is power on, the LED red light is off and green light keep flashing.
2) Go to Menu User Enroll Finger, and enroll one fingerprint. Use the enrolled
fingerprint to test the access control and door lock.
2. Device is on power off state, A.the device set “Auto Power On” as YES and the
device is connect to power cord with normal voltage supplied, when the device is
being removed, the device will Auto Power On and send out a signal to the Alarm
Siren; B. the device set “Auto Power On” as NO and the device is connect to power
cord with normal voltage supplied, when the device is being removed, the device will
not Power On but will send out a signal to the Alarm Siren.
3. When the device is sending the Alarm signal, you cannot turn off the device via the
Power key, neither the reset key.
4. To cancel Tamper Alarm, the device need to be re-installed beforehand, the tamper
button is pressed down at this time, then re-power on the device or press the “Tamper
Alarm cancellation” button,.( The tamper alarm need restore to open status when the
device works normally, or the device will not alarm when it’s removed.)
