Scope of the work

With the increase in demand and supplies, this project has got much scope in various aspects.
The major dependency of the human life is on the food and that we can get solely from the
crops. Crops are the result of the nutrients found in the field and the amount of water required
by the field. Also nutrients like potash, lime and phosphoric acid are necessary for a good
alluvial soil. With the time passing by, the quality of every natural material is getting low
because of abrupt use by humans.
This project will help in very broader aspects and it will be a great gift consecrated to
the farmers and gardeners all over the world who are solely and continuously trying to make
human and every living life happen. Making the efficient use of ground/surface water which
is now less than .01% according to the main emphatic this project is putting for. Less amount
of fresh water available is a very dangerous sign for the upcoming generations and also it
accounts for significant decrease in grasslands across the planet. This project will have a
worldwide usage and will increase substantially in the coming decades. This will put less
man effort, making use of efficient water and also keep an eye on the quality of the soil. With
the integration and implementation of IoT, we have made it possible to check the system
condition form anywhere and everywhere. We can have the information about the moisture
level of the soil, the temperature at that particular field and also the humidity level in
percentage, everything will be depicted on the blynk app used here as an human machine
interface. We can give various commands for different actuators manually based on the
requirements.
Different soils have different requirements. This project will ensure the nutrient level
of the soil and the moisture level of the soil as well. Statistics shows that 42% of land was
covered under drought affecting more than 500 million people lives directly or indirectly,
according to business standards report published worldwide. This project will never let any
area left without the water. With the use of sensors which are fitted after every certain
interval, we can have the moisture level there and correspondingly the actuator installed at
that particular place will actuate and the process of watering will start.
Also, the news comes about the lives of farmers and how they give up their efforts
and lives. Various major steps taken by Govt. of India are still left with some loopholes in it.
Crores of investment is made like loan waiver schemes and drainage system is setup.
Taking this project to the next level, a farmer can setup his/ her own power supply by
fetching the water from the canal system and this project can be installed at the end point of
the farmers’ land and hence the project will work meticulously and in efficient way. This will
prevent from unwanted wastage of water and hence keeping the quality of the soil optimized
thereby having a good production of crops.
