Work 4 rows of Stockinette Stitch (knit every row when knitting in the round since there is no knitting
done on the “wrong side” of work)
Row 1: K21, P2, slip 4 to cable needle & hold to front of work, K4, K4 from cable needle, P2, K3
Row 2: K3, place marker, M1, place marker, K18, P2, K8, P2, K3
Row 4: K3, slip marker (sl m), M1R, K1, M1L, sl m, K18, P2, K8, P2, K3
Continue in this manner until there are 11 stitches between the markers (you should be on Row 4 of the
second repeat of pattern). Continue working in pattern, remove markers and slip the 11 stitches onto a
stitch holder and continue knitting joining back into the round. Complete the pattern repeats to row 8
and then knit row 1 (to add the last cable). BO
Thumb:
Remove 11 sts from holder and divide onto two DPN’s. Using third DPN, pick up 4 sts around the
“joined” part of Mitt. You will now have 15 stitches. Knit 5 rows, BO.
Left Mitt:
Work 4 rows of Stockinette Stitch (knit every row when knitting in the round since there is no knitting

Row 1: K3, P2, slip 4 onto cable needle holding to front, K4, K4 from cable needle, P2, K21
Continue in this manner until there are 11 stitches between the markers (you should be on Row 4 of the
second repeat of pattern). Continue working in pattern, remove markers and slip the 11 stitches onto a
stitch holder and continue knitting joining back into the round. Complete the pattern repeats to row 8
and then knit row 1 (to add the last cable). BO
