About SBPIM:

S B Patil Institute of Management constitutes one of the upcoming institutes in the crown of Pune’s
Management Institutes. Established in the year 2009, this institute caters the need of budding
Managers through its MBA programme approved by All India Council for Technical Education
(AICTE), Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) and Government of Maharashtra and University
of Pune (UoP).

It endeavors to promote research through various activities like research journal, seminars,
conferences at National and International level, FDPs, workshops, lecture series, etc. SBPIM has
organized 3 days National Seminar.

About the National Seminar:

Global business environment has historically witnessed ethical problems in business running, more
recent being that of Enron Corporation and Satyam. With India taking big steps towards becoming
world power, a development that is sustainable in long run has been a focus. With Public-Private
Partnership growing, the role of ethics in sustainable development is all the more increasing.

This National Seminar on ‘Role of Corporate Ethics for Sustainable Development’ invites
multifaceted personalities like corporate, research scholars to meet and share knowledge of
innovative ideas, managerial theories and practices and contemporary issues, exchange valuable
experience, and form cooperative relationships to promote effective corporate governance and growth.

Track and Session Plan:

• The National Seminar will have separate tracks with specific focus and will be scheduled into
sessions.
• Each session will be chaired by an Expert
• Presentation Time: 10+2 mins.
• Presentation Equipments like LCD projector/ Laptop, etc. will be provided.
• Presentation slides to be emailed 4 days before the date of the seminar.

Guidelines for Paper Submission:
Authors should please note the following –

• The papers should be based on original work not yet published.

• An abstract of not more than 200 words should be included as a part of the paper along with 3
- 5 keywords.
• Include the title, author’s name, affiliation details, telephone number and e- mail address.
• The full paper should have a title page with abstract & author details. The paper
should start from next page with title.
• All submissions are to be made in MS - word A4 size. All manuscripts should be in
font: Times new Roman, heading in font size 14, other text in size 12 points, 1.5
spacing, with justified alignment.
• Full text should not exceed 4000 words including diagrams, tables, figures, charts and
references.
• Heading (s) must be short, with a clear indication of the distinction between the hierarchies of
headings.
• Each paper should be submitted in soft copy & hard copy on the specified email only. All
diagrams, charts, figures, tables are to be separately attached along with the full paper
for better reproduction. They should be numbered properly. End Notes: all notes should be
indicated by serial numbers in the text.

References:
• All Referencing is to be made in APA style only.
• Participation should be confirmed on or before 1st February, 2011 by sending the completed
‘Delegate Registration Form’, along with Registration Fees.

All soft copies of Abstracts and papers are to be submitted on following email:
seminarsbpim@gmail.com within the prescribed dates.

Publication:

Selected papers may be chosen for publication in proceedings of the National Seminar, which may be
published under ISBN No. However all selected abstracts of registered participants may be published.
All copyrights regarding the submitted papers will remain with the organizers of the Seminar.

Registration:

All the participants are requested to register. In cases of more than one author, it is must for all the
authors to get registered for inclusion of the paper. However, the paper may be presented by any one
author. A single author presenting multiple entries should register for each paper. No TA/DA will be
paid to any delegate, who presents the paper in the seminar.
