Minutes of the BoS meeting of Civil Engineering

The first BoS of the CE Dept was held on 2nd May 2011. The minutes of the
meeting are as follows:

1. The overall curricular structure for engineering programmes was

discussed, the novelties over the existing typical structure were
highlighted by the VC and the same is discussed at length. The trimester
structure was appreciated.
2. The CE curriculum was examined in respect of foundation, professional
and advanced courses, their sequencing and the laboratory components of
the 2nd, 3rd and 4th years of engineering. Some minor modifications were
made in the names of subjects.
3. The syllabus content for each theory paper has been discussed and the
same for some of the subjects was improved.
4. The list of experiments for each laboratory has been discussed and some
improvements were recommended in the same.
