 my colleagues at the San Agustin National High School;
 friends
a pleasant afternoon to each and every one.

For my work to be appreciated is an icing to the cake that makes me more eager to pursue what needs to be pursued,
but to be recognized and given due recognition to all my efforts in the School Governance and the Teaching and
Learning aspects of the school operations, is already a plus. I am so elated that my heart is on the verge of bursting
because of happiness.

I want to dedicate this award to my parents who have been my pillars, especially to my late mother who was responsible
for blackmailing me to pursue the Teacher’s degree. Yes, teaching was not my first choice of profession, I was more of
inclined to taking Sciences programs but as a good son/daughter, I heed to her request. That was why after graduation, I
immediately went to Cebu to land to any job except teaching. I was fortunate to get accepted in a Business Process
Outsourcing company where I worked as a front-line agent in a travel and hospitality vertical. I was an agent until my
second year and got promoted as a supervisor thereafter. Part of my job as a supervisor was to manage the performance
of my team and since performance is affected by internal and external factors, I also have to deal with my team’s personal
lives. I did counsel them and I did mentor my team to the point that I realized that what I am obviously doing already were
outlined in a teacher’s job description and to my surprise, I was loving it. And here I am now, a teacher at San Agustin
National High School, in the District of Sagbayan. So you see, teaching might not be my first choice, but fate has allowed
me to realize that I should become one and I am so fortunate that my experiences have helped me mold the teacher I am
today.

I also would like to dedicate this award to my colleagues at the San Agustin National High School for being so supportive
of my program implementations. My programs usually have a rough start because it comes with a change in the process
but they eventually come to accept them. To Maam Marina Ejoc who allowed me to implement my programs, to Sir Nilo
Samputon for seeing the potential of my programs allowing me to purse what I’ve started. To Dr. Peregrita Datahan for
always being a helping hand. To Maam Perlita Enad for hiring me. To my besties, for always being my source of laughter
and for being my family. To Engr. Dinah Florence Talan, our Division ITO for bringing my projects to the attention of our
Division Office. It has thus become the jumpstart to the many accolades I have being receiving including this one and
including the one I will be receiving on the 19th.

Fellow teachers, teaching is indeed the noblest profession of all because we do not only cater to the tasks of the
Department of Education, but we also perform the ones from the other departments. And had it not because of our
dedication to our jobs, a lot of us would have left DepEd already. But we stayed and we remained dedicated, so I also
would like to dedicate this award to you all.

Thank you and more power!
