ACC Community Service Proposal 2012

1.1 Community Service Details:

Topic : Adopted School Community Service Project with AIU Cricket Club
Date : Once a week (April - August)
Time : 5.30 pm - 7.00 pm
Collaboration by : JPN (Kedah State Education Department)
Venue : Seri Perdana Primary School; only 6 km away from AIU

1.2 Target People:

Students from : Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Perdana
(Seri Perdana Primary School)
Number of Students in total : 15; All boys
and Gender
Class level : Standard 3-5
Average Age : Under 12 years (8-11 years old)
Medium of Communication : English Language

1.3 Objective
- To maintain the core values of AIU.
- Engaging Cricketers in community service.
- Training Cricket to School Students.
- Making the school students eligible to compete in tournaments.
- To make a good relation between AIU and SKSP for further engagement.
- To be more experienced in short-term Cricket training.
- To promote ACC (also AIU Cricket Team) in local level.

1.4 Current Situation of the SKSP Cricket Facilities

The SKSP Cricket Team has just been established. They possess all the Cricket facilities and have
standard equipments set. They also have a field of the size of two football fields. They also have
4 bats and proper cricket attires (i.e. cap, jersey, shoes), though it is unfortunate that they still
do not have a specialized Cricket coach to provide them training. They are going to join the
Inter-state Under 12 Cricket Tournament at the end of this month.
