development, socio-ecological justice and equity in the society by empowering people through
education, awareness raising, rights-based advocacy and capacity building while believing in the
advancement of women as prerequisite of social, political and economic development.
Deputy Executive Director (Based at Lahore)
JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this role is to support the executive director in the development and implementation of
the organization’s strategic plans and policies, and to provide leadership and direction to the staff.
REPORTING LINES:

Post holder reports to: Executive Director

Staff reporting to this post: Program, Operations, Finance, Logistic, Human Resource.

The Deputy Executive Director will undertake a number of duties and responsibilities, including:
• Provide oversight and supervision to all CCHD staff and their performance.
• Provide technical, financial and strategic direction to and management of all programs and program
staff, and in particular direct supervision of Program Coordinators.
• Identify and ensure support for staff capacity build eeds, including helping to develop,
monitor and oversee the organizational capacity building plan.
• Oversee project/program planning and deliverables are met in accordance to proposals, budgets and
donor guidelines.
• Oversee Human Resources, Finance and Operations departments and provide supervision and support
to managers and staff in department.
• Identify the need for staff and consultants’ develop/finalize job descriptions and consultant terms of
reference with appropriate staff, and help recruit staff according to need.
• In collaboration with the Executive Director, monitor CCHD program/project and organizational
budgets.
• Liaise with officials from government, donors, UN agencies, academia, NGOs, and media in order to
maintain a close and positive working relationship between CCHD and these institutions, and to ensure
the visibility of CCHD’s work.
• Engage in active fundraising for programs in support of Program staff.
• In partnership with the Executive Director, develop and implement a resource mobilization and
communications/outreach strategy for the organization, in particular in exploring institutional funding.
• In partnership with Executive Director and senior management, lead the implementation of the 5 year
strategic plan and mechanisms for internal monitoring of achievements of targets and objectives in the
SP.
• Write, review and comment on draft proposals, reports, and other outputs to ensure quality and
accuracy with respect to content, and to ensure that outputs meet the needs of CCHD’s stakeholders.
• With the Program officers, compile the CCHD’s Annual Report, Annual Work Plan, prepare program
and organizational presentations,

• Articulate and advocate CCHD’s programming in various technical and development coordination
meetings, papers, presentations, etc.
• Be engaged in the continuing development of the organization, its mission and its staff, through the
sharing of experience and knowledge, particularly contributing to its institutional learning efforts
• Any other duties that may be assigned.

Skills/qualifications/experience:

• Holder of Masters Degree in Social Sciences or Administration.


• Minimum of 10 years working experience in management or in development sector.
• Ability to analytically view projects.
• Excellent report writing, interpersonal and communications skills
• Knowledgeable in computer packages e.g., MS-Word, Excel, etc.
