The button labeled

con the ctudent Research Day homepage should
be used for your submission. However, please take a moment to read the instructions
below:Y

Prepare your abstract in a text editor, e.g. Mc Word before you visit the abstract submission
page and then cut and paste from this editor into the web form. If your abstract must
contain special symbols or equations, please contact Craig Geber at cgeber@csudh.edu with
a description of your needs.Y

Check your abstract for spelling, grammar and length. No more than 300 words is allowed.
Have your faculty mentor/advisor proofread the abstract.Y

Notify your faculty mentor/advisor that you are ready to submit the abstract online. You will
need a valid email address for yourself and your faculty mentor/advisor when you submit
the abstract.Y

If your research involves human subjects (this includes surveys), you must have an
approval from the Institutional Review Doard (IRD). You will need to check a box on the
abstract submission to determine whether this approval is needed. If you click YEc, the IRD
will verify that you have approval (or pending approval). If you click NO, and it is
determined later that your research does need IRD approval, your abstract will be
withdrawn from consideration. Please check with your faculty mentor/advisor if you are
uncertain whether your research requires IRD approval.Y

Please decide whether you want to present your research at the expo or as a 15 minute
talk. Performances for creative work will also be scheduled.Y

If you questions or difficulties with the abstract submission process, you may call or email
Craig Geber at cgeber@csudh.edu or (310) 243-2852.Y
