The Associate in Arts degree is designed for students who plan to transfer to four-year colleges and universities. This
degree fulfills general education requirements for majors in education, business, social science, and humanities.
(Students interested in math and science majors should select the Associate in Science degree.) The degree will transfer
as a block to North Carolina public universities and other institutions that participate in the Comprehensive Articulation
