DEFENDANT'S MOTION FOR BOND

COMES NOW the Defendant, Aaron Cody Smith, by and through his attorneys of

record, and moves this Honorable Court to set a Bond for his release pending sentencing in this

cause. As grounds therefore, states as follows:

1. That the Defendant in this cause was initially arrest on a warrant and affidavit on

March 2, 2016.

2. That the bond for the Defendant was set at $150,000.00 which was met on March 2,

2016.

3. That for three and one-half years, the Defendant has abided by all of the terms and

conditions of the said bond to include appearing at all hearings and the trial of this cause.

4. That the Defendant was convicted of a lesser included offense of Manslaughter as

opposed to the Murder charge of which he was indicted on Friday, November 22, 2019.

5. At the time of the pronouncement of the verdict this Honorable Court indicated that the

Defendant would be sentenced at the conclusion of the preparation of the Presentence Report and

would at that time entertain a Motion for an Appeal Bond, as it is the intention of the Defendant

to Appeal the said conviction.

6. That the Defendant was taken into custody after the pronouncement of the said verdict.

7. At the time of the writing of this Motion the said Sentencing has not been set by this

Honorable Court.

Wherefore, the Premises Considered, the Defendant, Aaron Cody Smith, by and through

his attorneys of record, and moves this Honorable Court to set a Bond for his release pending

sentencing in this cause.
