TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Please read carefully through the terms and conditions of your application, acceptance, registration and
study at Kadir Has University. The following terms and conditions are valid for all international students.
Application and Acceptance
- In order to apply to Kadir Has University's programs, you have to complete an online application form and
attach all necessary documents.
- If the information in your application form is incorrect, we reserve the right to terminate your acceptance
offer.
- Once your application is accepted, you will receive a conditional acceptance letter via e-mail which states
the name of the program you are accepted as well as the scholarship information.
- In order to accept the offer, you must read, sign and e-mail a scanned copy of all the pages of this
document on the Terms and Conditions. You must forward the full payment of fees outlined in the
conditional acceptance letter.
- Payments should be forwarded to the Kadir Has University bank account stated on the proforma invoice.
- Upon the receipt of the tuition fee payment, Kadir Has University will issue you the official acceptance
letter, which you will use for visa application.
- You should ensure that you have sufficient funds to cover tuition fees and living expenses for the duration
of your course.
Visa and Residence Permit
- Some foreign nationals planning to study in Turkey are required to obtain student visas. The country specific
visa requirements can be found at: http://www.mfa.gov.tr
- You agree that you will use Kadir Has University acceptance letter only for student visa application purposes
and as you hold such a visa, you will adhere to all rules, regulations and requirements regarding student
visas.
- Kadir Has University is not responsible for your visa application. Please consult to the nearest Turkish
Embassy/Consulate for the list of all required documents.
- If you are denied a student visa, you will not incur any cancellation charges, except for wire transfer fees.
You have to inform us in writing and send us an official evidence of the visa refusal as early as possible.
Such notification and evidence must, in any event, arrive to the International Collaboration and Education
Office before the start of the registration period.
- You are responsible for your residence permit application and associated costs. Enrolled students must
apply for the residence permits within one month from the date of entry to Turkey. International
Collaboration and Education Office staff will guide you on the application of resident permits. Students,
holding a valid residence permit, have to apply for the status changes after the enrolment.

Language Proficiency
- You must provide a documentation indicating that you have received the required language proficiency
scores accepted at Kadir Has University. Scores for international exams must be valid at the time of the
University's registration period. If you graduated from an English medium educational institution, in a
country, where English is the official language, you are not required to submit any English Language
Proficiency Certificates.
- If you fail to provide the necessary English Language Proficiency certificates, you will be tested on your
English upon your university registration, to ensure that you are able to avail yourself fully of the
opportunities offered. If your result is deemed insufficient for the course for which you have registered, you
will be required to attend an English preparatory program.
The tuition fee for the English language program is 10.000 USD / per year without any scholarship. Please
note that you will be responsible to pay one year English language program if your result is deemed
insufficient for the course.

available on our website. Failure to know a regulation does not constitute an excuse. Please, kindly take your

Tuition Fees
- According to the Turkish Higher Education Council regulation number 93601077-724.99-342 for
international students and in order to secure admission offer, you are required to deposit your first
installment of Fall tuition fees. Please note that you are responsible to pay all wire transfer fees. While
making the transfer, please state precisely your name and surname in the explanation part so that we can
follow the transaction. The bank information for mandatory pre-payment also attached to your conditional
acceptance letter. Please scan and email the proof of payment of the pre-registration fee to

admission@khas.edu.tr Upon the receipt of the pre-payment, we will issue you the official acceptance
package which you will use to obtain your student visa.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

- All tuition fees must be paid full in USD dollars.


- Undergraduate yearly tuition fees are paid in two installments. The first one prior to the first semester,
the second one prior to the second semester.
- Master programs’ tuition fee is paid in two installments. The first one prior to the first semester, the
second one prior to the second semester of the program.
- PhD programs’ tuition fee is paid in three installments. The first one prior to the first semester, the second
one prior to the second semester of the education program and the third one is prior the third semester of
the education program.
- All payments should be completed no later than the payment deadlines stated in the academic calendar.
- The tuition fee deposit as indicated in the proforma invoice will be counted towards your first instalment
of Undergraduate, Master and PhD programs.
- PLEASE NOTE THAT: There will be no other extra installments.
- If your tuition fees are being paid for you by a sponsor or you benefit from a Governmental Scholarship
program, you do not have to pay a deposit, but you must provide the University with satisfactory proof of
sponsorship that covers the entire cost of your course. It is your responsibility to make sure your sponsor
pays your fees at the appropriate time. If your sponsor fails to do so, you will be liable to pay the fees
yourself in full.
University Registration
- You have to be present in person during the registration in the Student Affairs Office by the dates declared
in the Academic Calendar.
- If you have a valid and officially documented excuse, then that student’s registration can be carried out by
your official representative. Students are not permitted to register by mail.
- No registration is allowed outside the official registration period or late registration period. Students
who have not completed their registration by the deadline forfeit all rights to register.
- You must bring all the documents listed in the registration guidebook as well as the documents requested
by the university. The list of the registration documents will be sent via e-mail.
- Students with missing documents will not be able to register.
- Students who didn’t pay the required tuition fees will forfeit their rights to register.
- If a student decides to change the program enrolled, he/she will have to file a petition to the Student Affairs
Office. A new application will be required and a new admission and scholarship decision will be taken.

Refund, Cancellation – Freezing Tuition Policy


The university are obliged to comply with Kadir Has University Regulations which was published in the
Official Gazette No: 29476 on Tuesday, September 15, 2015. These regulations stipulate the guidelines
concerning education for associate undergraduate and graduate degree programs administered by faculties
institutes and units at Kadir Has University.
- Refund of Tuition Fees before the Registration Period / after the Registration (before second semester
re-registration) Period: the University will make a full refund of tuition fees paid as a deposit by a student,
less a processing charge, if any of the following conditions occur:
1- The applicant provides a documentary evidence that the application for a visa has been unsuccessful
2- The offer of a place is withdrawn by the University or the University is unable to provide the program
for which an offer has been made
PLEASE NOTE THAT: Deposit (the first payment) will never be refunded except the above-stated
conditions.
Refund for Graduate Students at Re-registeration for the next semesters:
Students who re-register at the second semester of the academic program but then withdraw from the
program - the remaining fee will be refunded.
Students who re-register at the third or next semesters of the academic program - the fee for the semesters
that will not be registered, will be refunded.
Refund for Undergraduate Students at Re-registeration for the next semesters:
Students who re-register at the beginning of an academic year but then withdraw from the program prior to
the beginning of the semester must pay one fourth of the annual tuition fee.
- If a student withdraws after the semester has begun, she/he is not entitled to a reimbursement of tuition
for that semester.

Dormitory Application
The University offers places in the University dormitories to international students. All dormitory
reservations have to be made within the specific dates, stated on the website.
- Dormitory reservation form should be completed and e-mailed to the International Collaboration and
Education Office at international@khas.edu.tr
- Dormitory pre-payment of the half of the yearly accommodation fees is required in order to secure your
place. The remaining amount of the accommodation fees is due upon your arrival.
- No fees are refunded if a student decides to leave the dormitory before the end of the relevant academic
year.
- Every student, who is intending to stay in the dormitory, is required to pay a 200 USD safety deposit. This
deposit is fully reimbursed to those leaving the dormitories without causing any harm or damage.
The University reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time.
