Are you a good person?

Let's start with a few questions to find out if you need Jesus Christ to save yo
u, who knows maybe you are a good person and worthy of going to heaven already.
Let's see if you are a good person based on God's law from the Bible.

Have you ever told a lie? Yes or No

Evan a little white lie like someone calls on the phone and asks to speak to som
eone there and you say they are not here right now when in fact they are there t
hey just don't want to talk to them.
If you have then you are a lair.

Have you ever stolen something? Yes or No

Even a pen or Pencil? Not a magazine or piece of gum? Anything?
If you have then you are a thief.

Have you ever committed adultery? Yes or No

Did you know the Bible says if you even look at another person and desire that p
erson in a sexual way you have already committed adultery in your heart?
So based on that law let me ask you again Have you ever committed adultery?
If you have then you are adulterers.

Have you ever used the God's name in vain?

Many use God's name daily because they have a poor vocabulary. God's very name r
epresents who He is; His power, nature and character. It is a powerful name and
should be spoken with respect. To take God's name in vain is to discount His pos
ition and authority.
Everyone that goes around saying 'O My God' is taking God's name in vane and the
y are committing blasphemy.
So again have you ever committing this sin?
If you have then you are a blasphemer.
Well I am sure you answered yes to breaking at least one on these laws and these
are just four of The Ten Commandments.
So you now know you have broken God's law, do you know the Bible says if we brea
k one lay we are guilty of breaking all of God's laws? Well it true.
Now ask yourself again am I a good person in the eyes of God? Yes or No.
Of course your answer is no, no one is a good person based on the laws of God.
So with that in mind what should God do with you? Should he allow you to go to h
eaven when you have broken his laws? NO of course not if he did he would not be
a very fair and just judge now would he? The truth is if he let you into heaven
he would have to let everyone into heaven and what kind of lawless place would i
t be then?
So he cannot allow you to enter heaven so the only choice he has is to send you
to hell, it's out of his hands there's nothing else he can do.
If you were to die right now you would go to hell FOREVER!
But wait there is good news.
Jesus Christ died for your sins he already paid the price for you, but you have
to accept this gift of salvation from him, you have to repent and allow Jesus to
change your life, to make you a new person.
That's the only way to go to heaven and avoid going to an everlasting hell.

So what does God want from you?

He only wants you to believe. God wants you to believe his Word and live a true
Christian lifestyle.
Jesus said:
John 3:3
...except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
You can believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, be baptized in His name, an
d live a Christian life - with the reward of eternal life and friendship with Go
d.
Or, you can deny that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, refuse to be baptized in H
is name, and disobey God's commandments - with the reward of judgment.
If you repent and believe in him he will guide you in this life with peace and a
ssurance - and reward you with eternal life.
At the time of your birth, two things happened; you were separated from your mot
her, and took your first breath.
Every person lives by the filling and refilling of natural air, which is a type
of the Spirit. Being born again means you are filled with the Spirit of Christ J
esus.
Every person that is born again lives by the filling and refilling of the Holy S
pirit, which is the breath of eternal life.
This is what it means to be born again. You leave behind all the things that use
d to satisfy your soul, and you become dependent on the Holy Spirit alone.
Jesus said:
John 14:15
If you love me, keep my commandments.
When asked what is the greatest commandment, He responded:
Matthew 22:37-39
Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and
with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is li
ke unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

How to be Saved (to be born again)
Here's where you should begin.
To become a true Christian and be saved, you must have a real relationship and g
enuine experience with the only real God (Jesus).
There are some basics that you need to know. You need to understand, accept, and
believe the following concepts from these verses in the Bible:
All men are sinners and fall short of God's perfect standard.
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
Sin - which is imperfection in our lives - denies us eternal life with God. But
God sent his son Jesus Christ as a gift to give us freely eternal life by believ
ing on Jesus Christ.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus
Christ our Lord.
You can be saved, and you are saved by Faith in Jesus Christ. You cannot be save
d by your good works, because they are not "good enough". But God's good work of
sending Jesus Christ to save us, and our response of believing - of having fait
h - in Jesus Christ, that is what saves each of us.
Ephesians 2 8-9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the g
ift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
God did not wait for us to become perfect in order to accept or unconditionally
love us. He sent Jesus Christ to save us, even though we are sinners. So Jesus C
hrist died to save us from our sins, and to save us from eternal separation from
God.
Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Chris
t died for us.
God loved the world so much that He sent his one and only Son to die, so that by
believing in Jesus Christ, we obtain Eternal Life.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever b
elieveth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
If you believe in Jesus Christ, and in what he did on the Cross for us, by dying
there for us, you know for a fact that you have been given Eternal Life.
I John 5:13
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God;
that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name
of the Son of God.
If you confess your sins to God, he hears you take this step, and you can know f
or sure that He does hear you, and his response to you is to forgive you of thos
e sins, so that they are not remembered against you, and not attributed to you e
ver again.
I John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to c
leanse us from all unrighteousness.
Romans 10:9-10
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in t
hine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with
the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is ma
de unto salvation.

If you believe these verses - or want to believe these verses - pray the followi
ng: (the exact words are not important just make sure you confess you are a sinn
er and ask Jesus to make you a new person)
Lord Jesus, I need you. I know I am a sinner, I know I am worthy of going to hel
l. I repent of my sins, I am so sorry about the way I have lived my life and I a
m sorry for the sins I have commented against God's Law.
I promise you I will serve you for the rest of my life and that I will turn away
from my life of sin and seek after you from this day moment on.
Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and ask
you to save me from my sins and give me eternal life. Thank you for forgiving m
e of my sins and giving me eternal life.
I receive you as my Savior and Lord.
Please take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person you wan
t me to be.
Help me to understand you, and to know you and to learn how to follow you. Free
me from all of the things in my life that prevent me from following you. In the
name of Jesus Christ I ask all these things now, Amen.
Did this prayer express your desire to know God and to want to know His love? If
you were sincere in praying this prayer, Jesus Christ came into your heart and
your life, just as He said he would.
It often takes courage to decide to become a Christian. It is the right decision
to make, but It is difficult to fight against part of ourselves that wants to h
ang on, or to fight against that part of our selves that has trouble changing. T
he good news is that you do not need to change yourself. Just cry out to God, pr
ay, and he will begin to change you. God does not expect you to become perfect b
efore you come to Him. Not at all! This is why He sent Jesus - so that we would
not have to become perfect before being able to know God.

Steps to take once you have asked Jesus to come into your life.
1 Corinthians 15:1
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, whi
ch also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if y
e keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
Now that you are saved you must hold on that that you have been given and not re
turn to your old ways, because you don't want to risk losing what you have found
.

A few things before you go.
Does the 'being saved' process only work for those who believe?
For the person who is not yet saved, their understanding of their state of sin a
nd God's personal love and care for them, and His desire and ability to save the
m is what enables anyone to become saved.
So yes, the 'being saved' process works only for those who believe in Jesus Chri
st, and Him only, and place their faith in Him and in His work done on the Cross
.
If so, how does believing save a person?
Believing saves a person because of what it allows God to do in the heart and so
ul of that person. But it is not simply the fact of a 'belief'. The issue is not
about having a belief but rather who and what we believe in.
If a person believes in salvation by faith in Jesus Christ alone, then that beli
ef saves them.
Why - because they are magical?
No - but because of the sovereignty of God and what He does to them when they as
k him into their heart and life. When a person decides to place their faith in J
esus Christ, ask Him to forgive them of their sins, and invite Jesus Christ into
their life and heart, this is what saves them! It is what God does for them at
that moment in time.
At the moment when a person sincerely believes and asks God to save them as desc
ribed above, is when He takes the life of that person, and in accordance with th
eir will, having requested God to save them from their sins through Jesus Christ
, that God takes that person's life and sins (all sins past and present, but NOT
future sins), and allocates them to the category of "one of those people who ac
cepted the free gift of eternal salvation that God offers".
From that point forward, their past sins are no longer counted against them. The
ir 'sin account' is paid for by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. There is no pers
on that could ever sin so much that God's love would not be enough for them. The
re is no sin debt that cannot be covered by the death that Jesus Christ paid. Ot
herwise, sin would be more powerful than Jesus Christ - which is not true.
People have trouble believing in Jesus Christ sometimes because of two extremes:
The first extreme is that they think they are not sinners.
Usually, this is because a person has not committed a 'serious' sin such as murd
er - but God says that all sin separates us from Him, even supposedly small sins
. We as humans tend to evaluate sin into more serious and less serious categorie
s because we do not understand just how serious 'small' sins are.
But we are all sinners and all have a need for God in order to have eternal salv
ation. Sin is sin in the eyes of God - be it a lie or murder - it's still sin.
Second the extreme is that they think they are not good enough for Jesus Christ
to save them.
This is the thinking of those who reject the free offer of salvation by Christ J
esus because those people are literally unwilling to believe. After death they w
ill believe, but they can only choose eternal life BEFORE they die.
The fact is that all of us are not good enough for Jesus Christ to save them. Th
at is why Paul wrote:
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
Thankfully, that is not the end of the story because he also wrote:
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus
Christ our Lord.
That free offer of salvation is clarified in the following passage:
John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever b
elieveth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not H
is Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might
be saved.

I would be very glad if you could let me know that you have trusted the Lord Jes
us Christ, so I can rejoice with you and help you along the way on your new life
.
