Dear Ms. Puyat:

Greetings!

We, JESELYN JANICE BALTAZAR CORPUZ-LABARO and JANLY

BALTAZAR CORPUZ want to notify your bank (BANCO DE ORO) that our
mother, JULITA BALTAZAR CORPUZ, who had an account in your bank with
Account Number 004220221045, has passed away on January 20, 2020. In this
regard, we are writing this letter to request the bank to withdraw the remaining
amount/deposit in our Mother’s account. That said deposit amounts to more or
less P 255, 107.35 (subject to the payment of taxes).

In relation thereto, Art. 777 of the Law on Succession provides that:

Art. 777. The rights to the succession are transmitted from the
moment of the death of the decedent.

And Art. 781 of the same law provides that:

Art. 781. The inheritance of a person includes not only the property
and the transmissible rights and obligations existing at the time of his
death, but also those which have accrued thereto since the opening of the
succession.

Based on the above provisions of the Law on Succession, since we are the
legal heirs of our mother, we have the rights to the succession upon her death
and since the deposit of our mother in your bank is in the nature of a
transmissible right including those interests that have accrued thereto, we
therefore believe that withdrawing the amount should not be a problem.

Please let us know if any other formalities need to be completed for

claiming the amount. We shall be truly grateful to you if the procedure of
withdrawal can be done at the earliest possible time since our family is
undergoing financial issues after the death of our mother.
