leadership program. If you are a junior, senior or older join us in the
Teen Lounge on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:30pm. Pizza is

There will be a Confirmation Parent Meeting on Sunday January
9th at 3:30pm in the Parish Hall. Students that will be receiving
the Sacrament this year must be in 10th grade or older, and ac-
tively attending Lifeteen or in Catholic School.
The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated by Bishop
Zarama on Friday, April 29th at 7pm at St. Andrew Church.

CHRISTMAS PAGEANT
AND STORYTELLING
All are invited to attend our Christmas Pageant and
Storytelling Special on December 17th at 7:00pm in
the Family Center. Our program will feature two
beautiful Christmas Tales as told by Storytellers for
Georgia Tech and Kennesaw State University. The
program is appropriate for all ages. Concession
treats will be sold by our World Youth Day (WYD)
travelers. No charge for admission.
JOHN PAUL II BOOKSTORE
Please visit the John Paul II Church Store located in the
Narthex. We have a wide variety of Advent wreaths,
calendars, and Christmas gifts. We are also selling raffle
tickets for a beautiful handmade Christmas Quilt. We
estimate the value of the quilt from $300.00 to $500.00
Tickets are $5.00 each or 5 tickets for $20.00. Please
help support our youth.
PUT YOUR FAITH INTO ACTION!
Christmas Giving Trees: We expect the needs to be
great this year, so if you are able to help, grab a few stars
from the trees and return those items, gift-wrapped with the
star attached to the outside of the package and make
someone’s Christmas a little better this year. We would like the
items returned by December 12.
The items will be distributed to families and parishioners in need,
along with local charities. Due to the tough economic times for so
many families, gift cards will once again be very much appreciated.
We are working with many families who are having difficulty purchas-
ing basic necessities -- groceries, gas for their car, clothing, etc.

The Advent season is full of anticipation as we await for the arrival of
our Lord. During this season, it's important to remember those who
are less fortunate by putting your faith into action. Want a way to get
involved? Come to the next meeting of St. Andrew's St. Vincent de
Paul conference on Tuesday, December 7th at 7:00pm in the Multi-
Purpose room.
ST. MARTIN DE PORRES HOMELESS SHELTER
St. Martin de Porres will once again feed the homeless at the cold
weather shelters at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception and
Central Presbyterian on the following evenings (all Mondays)
December 6, January 3, February 7, and March 7.
There are three ways to help: prepare food (we provide recipes),
serve the food at the shelters (only requires about 3 hours, usually
home between 8:30 & 9:00 PM), stay overnight until 6:30 am (safe
atmosphere with private sleeping quarters). We have the most diffi-
culty finding overnight volunteers, but it is really easy duty. We break
the night up into watches, and since guests sleep between 9 PM and
5:30 am, there is plenty of quiet time to catch up on reading, paper-
work, etc. The more volunteers we have, the more sleep we get!

FRIDAY MORNING MEN’S FELLOWSHIP
The Men’s Fellowship meets every Friday morning. Please join us
next Friday, December 10th, at 7:00am in the Multi-purpose
room. There will be a 6:30am mass prior to the meeting. Newcom-
ers are welcome. Join us for coffee, donuts and good Catholic fel-
lowship. After a small talk on a spiritual topic relevant to everyday

LA EUCARISTIA
Cada domingo nos reunimos para celebrar la Eu-
caristía. En ella nos encontramos con la presencia
del Resucitado que a lo largo de toda la semana, de
todos los días, ha estado caminando junto a
nosotros.
¡Reunirse para celebrar la Eucaristía es crear comuni-
dad, abrir el corazón y liberar las ataduras del peso
de la vida y del hastío del día para acogernos mu-
tuamente en la confianza de quien sabe que en el
descanso de la comunión se transfigura el corazón
del hombre.
La Eucaristía nos hace vivir plenamente la Alianza de
Dios con los hombres y nos hace sentir desde ahora lo que en el Reino
de Dios será clara y plena realización.
Es la fe la puerta que nos hace entrar en la Eucaristía. Para gozar de su
celebraciónes necesario acudir con puntualidad, participar en la misma
con gestos y posturas corporales adecuadas a cada momento y re-
sponder con respuestas y aclamaciones que manifiestan nuestra acti-
tud de oración.
ACUDIR CON PUNTUALIDAD
• Las diversas partes de la Misa, desde los ritos iniciales hasta la ben-
dición y despedida, están tan estrechamente unidos entre sí que for-
man una sóla celebración en la que hay que participar desde el
principio hasta el final.
• Debemos ser una comunidad en la que todos juntos
nos dispongamos como conviene a celebrar
dignamente la Eucaristía.
• Por eso, acudir con puntualidad es un acto de atención
amorosa a Dios y a Jesucristo que nos convoca
cada domingo, y un acto de respeto hacia los
demás fieles que se han congregado puntualmente
para la celebración.

QUINCEANERAS
La familia debe estar registrada en St. Andrew. La joven tiene que
estar en proceso de preparación para la confirmación, pertenecer al
grupo juvenil y asistir a tres charlas de preparación. La misa de Acción
de Gracia se celebra el tercer sábado de mes en el horario de 11:00
am, 1:00 pm y 3:00 pm. Registrarse en la oficina del Ministerio 5 meses
antes de la fecha.
Si tienen una nueva dirección o número de teléfono, por favor comuní-
quense con la oficina parroquial para darnos los cambios. Es muy
importante que nos ayuden a mantener nuestros archivos actualizados.

GRUPO DE JOVENES ADULTOS(19-36 ANOS)
Oración, Diversión y Amistad.
Se reúnen todos los viernes de 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm en el salón 207.

BAUTISMO. Los padres tienen que estar registrados y asistiendo a la misa domi-
nical por tres meses antes del bautismo de sus hijos. Presentar Acta de Nacimien-
to del niño/a. Padrinos casados sacramentalmente deben de traer copia del certi-
ficado de Matrimonio. Solteros: mayores de 16 años de edad, certificado de Bau-
tismo. Parejas en unión libre no califican para ser padrinos. Pláticas de prepa-
ración: Primer Martes del mes de 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm, asistencia obligatoria de padres y
padrinos. Ceremonia Bautismal segundo Sábado de mes a las 11:00 am.
CONFIRMACION. Este curso de preparación es de dos años para jóvenes que han
hecho la Primera Comunión y estén en noveno o decimo grado. Inscripción en la
oficina del Ministerio Hispano.
MATRIMONIO. Inscritos en la parroquia. Reservar la fecha con seis meses de antici-
pación. Certificado de bautismo actualizada, licencia pre-matrimonial, clases de prepa-
ración LLASU (Llamados a ser uno). Cita con el padre. Inscribirse en el Ministerio
Hispano.
BODA COMUNITARIA ABRIL 30 2011. PARA PAREJAS REGISTRADAS EN LA IGLESIA DE
ST. ANDREW Y QUE VIVEN EN UNION LIBRE POR UN PERIODO DE MAS DE TRES
ANOS.. Si les falta algún sacramento asistan a las clases para adultos los domingos a
las 5:30 pm. Inscríbanse lo antes posible en el Ministerio Hispano.
