Developing Opening, Core, and Closing


Questions

U
se this page to guide you as you develop questions in the categories of opening, core, and closing.
Opening questions should get the seminar off to a start, core questions should help participants examine
deeper meanings in the text, and closing questions should help the group bring the seminar to a close,
though not necessarily a conclusion. Use the template on the following page to record your questions as you pre-
pare to lead the seminar.

Opening Questions Examples


• Stem from context • What is the theme of the reading?
