There are advantages and disadvantages of using computers.

Now, lets talk about

advantage first. First, the good thing of using the computers are that we can ge
t much information on a subject that we want to know. Second, we can easily do a
week's work in one day. Third is that not just doing our homework or other do
cumented things, but also, we can talk or chat to people that are on the other s
ide of the world. The disadvantage is that first, there are too much information
out there that we don't use a lot. Second, you can get addicted to the computer
s if you sit and just chat on the computer too much. Lastly, when you get too ad
dicted to the computer use, then your eyesight can damage.
These are the advantages and disadvantages of using computers.

The advantages of using computers is that it provides information on a wide area

, meaning answers are based generally and are broad. Computers also make work ef
fective, fast and easier for people and there is less human effort required wher
eas the disadvantages are that it is possible to cause damage to the eyesight, i
s also costly to possess for some families and can also give false information
at times.

The advantages are the most obvious, and to list them would take a long time; al
so, of course, it depends on what you're using them for. Overall, though, some o
f the key benefits are: instant communication, all over the world; storage of va
st amounts of information (in the end all the knowledge ever recorded could be o
nline and available to all; fast development of technology of all kinds. Whether
you are an engineer, a biochemist, a clerk or a shop assistant, computers wil l
ay some part in helping you develop systems and improve what you do.
Disadvantages may include greater complexity of life - everyone now has to learn
a lot of skills even to use computers at a simple level. They also generate a l
ot of extra work such as answering emails, and producing high quality documants
for all occasions (before, you might just scribble something down.) Some people
think we are becoming deskilled - forgetting how to do simple things like mental
arithmetic, and also the availability of so much knowledge doesn't necessarily
mean that we, individually, know more. It's easy to think that you have nderstoo
d a topic, just because you can download a factsheet about it.
Computers are for automation. Programs iterate and loop. The disadvantage is the
amount of time and energy it takes out of our lives to create and maintain an a
utomated system,
There are many, many advantages that computers can give you. First of all, you h
ave loads and loads of information at your fingertips- Google, Ask.com, Yahoo,
and this website. Some disadvantages of computers are that the screen can hurt y
our eyes after a while, you aren't getting any exercise, and, for most people, y
ou aren't keeping good form. You may be slouching, which can lead to problems in
the future, and you may need therapy. Like my Dad.

There are lot of advantages, like I can download a lecturer and customize it to
suit my environment that is cool.

At present computers are usually used in many walks of our life. What they mean
for us? They have many applications in science, technology. Since they were inve
nted in 1948 they have became necessary in our life. Even so computers have also
some disadvantages.
Using computers offers many pros. Firstly, owning to computers we can keep accou
nts, write personal letters and do our homework. It is much easier and more aest
hetic to write something in computer and print it than type or pen. Also, comput
er can be useful in office. When you use it you have less paperwork and mess. Th
en your work is more efficiency and organised, so your boss is glad. What is mor
e computers are being increasingly used in medicine. They are very helpful in me
dical diagnosis, patient monitoring and general hospital administration.
On the other hand using computers has several disadvantages. They are very bad f
or health. For example screens destroy eyes even with a low radiation screen. Ma
ny people complain for that issue, because then they have to pay for oculists an
d wear glasses. Also there are a lot of viruses which can influence a computer a
nd destroy the data bank. It is a problem for banks and big concerns which store
many of information inside their computers.
In conclusion, computers obviously has both good and bad points. We should remem
ber that computers is especially important to the young generation, that s why you
ng people ought to know how to use new technology keeping safeness.

etc.)
Storage is inexpensive and doesn't take up much space
Benefits of using a computer:
1. Convenient way of storing and retrieving information fast
2. Can print out stuff repeatedly unlike a typewriter
3. Can connect and synchronize data with another computer
4. You can do a back up of your data in one click
5. Increases mental processes rather than physical
6. Coordinate work easily thru the internet
7. Send mails faster and safer
8. Share stuff to other people
9. Can make a document that only you can read and access
10. Keep documents confidential
11. Lots moreEasy to search/navigate through documents
For organization
Many different kinds of tools from Palm software to Franklin Covey, to GTD based
on David Allen's system, to flat text files ala todo.txt (http://www.todotxt.co
m) by Gina Trapani.
Once a document is in electronic form it is easy to store and many, many documen
ts can be stored on one computer in much less space than in a file cabinet.
Easy to search
For programming
Most programming requires the use of computers
There are many, many tools available to programmers such as:
Editors: CodeWrite, SlickEdit, VIM, EMACS, Notepad, BBEdit...
Compilers: MSVC, Sun javac, GNU Compiler Collection (java, fortran, C, C++, and
more), Intel C Compiler...
Assemblers: NASM, MASM, TASM...
Interpreters: Ruby, Python, Lisp, Perl, bash, and countless others
GUI Builders: Glade, QT Designer, MSVC, ...
Code browsers (many use output from etags or ctags, MS has their own)
Simulators, Emulators
Using a computer makes it easy to search code and tools make it easier to unders
tand it
Easily gather programs from other creators
Easily distribute your own works
For research
Access to the Internet has become invaluable as a research tool
Easily gather huge amounts of information and store/catalog it
Easily search for new information or search the information already acquired
Interact with other researchers to create/gather more research
Almost instant access to many remote or obscure locations of the globe and their
researchers/experiences/knowledge
Easily disseminate results of your own research
Computers are not a panacea. There are many things for which a computer does not
add significant advantages. But, used in an appropriate and realistic way, comp
uters can enhance and facilitate certain activities.
