RESUMO
ABSTRACT
The project of the University of Passo Fundo (UPF) aims to promote scientific and
technological innovation subsidizing teachers of primary, secondary and technical
education, through the development of multidisciplinary activities that encourage

experimentation and reflection, and is justified by the fact that the science teaching in
recent times has undergone an important qualitative restriction. On the other hand,
the Science Fairs held at UPF since 1969 proved to be extremely productive in
relation to the development and spread of an investigative mindset regarding
primary, secondary and technical education. Thus, the project provides direct contact
with schools, the development of workshops and lectures for teacher training
seeking partnerships for the promotion of these activities, the creation of databases
of didactic nature and closer ties with the community through the dissemination of the
actions taken and the constant opening of spaces for the participation of independent
inventors. To enable greater quality in the proposing and drafting of research
projects, it is proposed for 2013 to implement actions of Science Clubs, as a pilot
project. This work culminates in the Science Fair and Technological Innovation Show
held annually in the facilities of UPF, in which the projects developed, sent in the
form of video, are presented to the community in different social networks. The
evaluation occurs in two stages: a) evaluation of videos and projects, b) evaluation of
the selected projects on site. The award ceremony takes place during the event.
