    The main difference between the fingering for major and minor notes is in covering of the holes. For each minor note, one of the holes is partially covered while playing. Pa of the Madhya Saptak has more than one way of fingering. These high notes are generally not part of the normal range of the bansuri.

    Note
    Pa of the Madhya Saptak has more than one way of fingering. You may use either depending on the ease of playing.

    Also note that Pa, Dha Komal and Ni Komal of the Tar Saptak and Sa of the Ati Tar Saptak have different fingering from the
    lower octaves. These high notes are generally not part of the normal range of the bansuri and are therefore created artificially
    by changing the fingering. These notes are rarely used during compositions.
