Therefore I thought it was about time. This collection has come together because of the willingness of our contributors to step forward with a model, so a big thank you to everyone who has contributed. Because each contributor is unaware of the models submitted by others, there is a danger that a number of the same type of models are submitted, and it is almost the case with Christmas trees in this collection. However all have a quite different interpretation of the Christmas tree theme. I am pleased to bring to this collection the first publication of a model by the late Eric Kenneway. He never cited this as a Christmas model - but to me it has all the classic elegance the subject deserves. I hope Eric will excuse me for marketing it as such, because this model deserves to be to be exposed to the light, and marketing is sometimes the key to bringing a discovery to people’s attention. T have also included excerpts from another fascinating BOS booklet ‘Planar modular Origami’. Although not marketed as such, this collection includes a wealth of models suitable for Christmas decorations. Finally a classic model by Robert Harbin is included. This is a model which came about from the influence of another folder. Robert could see the potential of a Father Christmas figure in one of Fred Rohm’s models, and made it happen. I hope you too will be inspired by this collection. Have a Merry Christmas.
