REPORTED SPEECH

1..- Rewrite the direct quotes in reported speech with the reporting verbs in parentheses.

Ex.

Andrew: “ I would like to see Katy Perry in concert.” ( said )

Andrew said (that) he would like to see Katy Perry in concert.

1.- Entertainment weekly: “ Jay Z may perform at the new stadium.” ( reported )

Entertainment weekly reported that Jay Z might perform at the new stadium

2.- Clare: “ Will I see some celebrities during my vacation in Los Angeles?” ( asked )

Clare asked if she would see some celebrities during her vacation in L.A.

aftenoon! It might help our business a lot, or at list it can’t hurt. Anyway, I had planned to watch it
at work, and I still would watch it if I could, but there’s an important meeting I absolutely must
attend. Can someone please record it for me? Thanks! The story should be on about 4:45 today.
