Kindermusik helps in child development.

Kindermusik is an early childhood developmental program that enhances learning through music
and movement. The classes are designed for children from as young as newborns to 7 years old.

Function
1. Kindermusik incorporates singing, dancing and music into an all-encompassing
developmental program. Children learn to play musical instruments and interact with
others their age in a social environment. The family also plays a key role in Kindermusik,
serving as both active participants and co-educators.

Benefits
2. Kindermusik helps children develop language skills and early literacy through interactive
storytelling. The program is designed to enhance brain development for spatial and
complex reasoning, allowing children to embrace abstract concepts while expressing their
own creativity.

Features
3. Kindermusik identifies the home as the most important learning environment. In order to
further assist families, the program provides home materials such as music CDs,
storybooks, journals and homemade instruments.

History
4. The West German government developed the Kindermusik program in 1968. It was
introduced to the United States in 1974.

Facts
5. According to Kindermusik International, Kindermusik programs exist in 35 countries and
boast more than 5,000 educators.
