1. Open the hood and remove the push pins that
secure the radiator support panel cover to the
vehicel and remove the cover. Push the center of
the push pins in to release them. Make sure to
release the upper radiator hose from the back
edge of the cover. Save the cover and the push
pins for reinstallation.
2. Remove the factory push fasteners from the top of
the grille. Use a small flat blade screwdriver to pry
up on the center of the push fastener to release.
3. Use a 3/16” drill bit to drill off the head of the
plastic rivet located on each end of the grille and
remove the rivets (do not drill completely
through).
4. Finish removing the factory grille by pulling in
and pushing forward on the side mounting
tabs and pulling up and pushing forward on
the lower mounting tabs. The grille will now
pull straight out.

5. Remove the factory push fastener from the top of
the bumper cover (1 each side). Use a small flat
blade screwdriver to pry up on the center of the
push fastener to release.

9. Align the emblem plate onto the mesh grille, pass-
ing the stud through the slot cut in the recessed
area. Install the emblem plate washer, flat washers,
lock washers and 8-32 hex nuts, center the
emblem assembly and completely tighten.

6. Pull the top of the bumper cover up to expose the
factory alignment holes. Enlarge the factory align-
ment holes to 5/8” diameter to allow for aditional
bumper cover adjustments.
Steps 10 through 20 cover emblem installation on vehicles
with Adaptive Cruise Control. For vehicles whitout the
Adaptive Cruise Control option, procede to Step 21.
10. Use a small flat blade screw driver to push the factory
emblem and chrome trim ring mounting tabs through
the slots in the factory grille to remove the emblem
and trim ring.

7. Remove the factory wreath and crest emblems from
the factory grille. Use heat to loosen the glue on the
double faced tape and pry them emblems off using
a body putty spreader.
8. Install the emblems onto the supplied emblem
mounting plate (except adaptive cruise and Classic
“Twelve” grilles) using double faced tape as shown
(not supplied with this kit). You will double face tape
the emblems directly onto the Classic “Twelve” grille.
11. Orient the emblem bezel with the openings at 1,
4, 6 & 8 o’clock before bending the tabs as not to
bend them backwards (see next photo). Using a
small flat blade screw driver, bend down the
emblem mounting tabs in the emblem bezel plate
to allow for installation of the factory emblem.

shown) to the face of the emblem bezel plate.

13. Peel off the double faced tape backing applied to
the emblem bezel plate. Align the emblem bezel
ring over the bezel plate, making sure the mount-
ing studs pass through the holes in the plate.
Once the ring is flush around the outside edge of
the plate, press the parts together.

16. Realign the chrome trim ring on the factory grille.
Mark the top center of the chrome trim ring for
realignment purposes after the chrome trim ring
has been modified.

14. Align the factory emblem into the bezel assembly,
making sure it is centered and that all mounting
tabs fit through the openings in the bezel plate.
Use a small flat blade screw driver to push the tabs
that were bent in Step 11 back to help secure the
factory emblem into the bezel plate.

17. Remove the mounting ears from the chrome trim-
ring (break off and grind smooth).

18. Apply the 1/4” double faced tape to the back of
the chrome trim ring.

21. For vehicles painted any other color than black or
dark blue: Tape up the factory grille opening and
paint the return and factory grille mounting chan
nel flat or semi-gloss black.
22. For all vehicles: Paint anything not already black
that will be visible through the mesh grille.

19. Peel back a small section of the 1/4” double
faced tape backing and align the chrome trim-
ring over the emblem assembly. Once aligned,
carefully peel off the double faced tape liner
from the tape and press the chrome trim ring
into place to set the tape.

23. Remove the plastic push fasteners from the
bumper cover where it attaches to the bumper
substructure. This will make it much easier to
install the new grille.

20. Install the emblem assembly onto the back of the
mesh or dual weave mesh grille section using the
supplied black plastic washers (trimmed as shown
to keep visibility to a minimum) and 8-32 ESNA
half nuts.

24. Align the new grille into the factory grille open
ing, making sure that all six (6) lower studs fit
through the existing slots in the bumper cover.

25. Install the supplied 3/16” thread cutting nuts onto
each protruding stud and completely tighten.
Once the nuts are installed, paint them black to
conceal them from view.

29. Use a 7/64” drill bit to drill through the existing
holes in the top mounting plate and install the
supplied black truss head screws. This will lock the
grille into proper alignment.

26. Once the bottom of the grille is secure, install the
supplied 1/4-20 x 1” hex bolts, flat washers, lock
washers and 1/4-20 hex nuts into the outer holes
(hand tighten only at this time).
27. Reinstall the plastic push fasteners removed in
Step 2 in the inner holes.

30. Reinstall the radiator support panel cover to fin-
ish. Make sure the upper radiator hose is
pressed into the cover before the push pins are
reinstalled.

28. Carefully close the hood and check the grille for
proper alignment. If the grille is out too far, push
the grille in, open the hood and tighten the outer
1/4-20 hardware. If the grille is too far in, pull the
grille out, open the hood and tighten the outer
1/4-20 hardware.
WARRANTY INFORMATION:
E&G Classics, Inc. warrants its chrome parts and products to be free from defects in material,
workmanship or finish for Forty-Eight (48) months or 50,000 miles from the date of installation by
E&G or an authorized installation factility. This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement, at
E&G Classics option, of the defective part or product.
To obtain performance under this warranty you must:
1.) Present your E&G unit to an authorized distributor in your area with proof of purchase.
2.) If no distributor is available, contact E&G Classics (address below) for authorization to return
unit.
3.) Returns - All unauthorized returns will be refused. Merchandise approved by E&G for return
must have been purchased within the Twenty-Four (24) months. All returns require an author
ization number obtained from E&G and the actual return must be accompanied by the written
authorization form filled out completely. All merchandise must be inspected upon receipt and
shortages reported within 48 hours. All merchandise must be in a resalable condition.
Merchandise must be packed carefully in the original packing. If original packing is no longer
usable, repack item(s) comparable to original manner. All returns are subject to a 25% handling
charge. Special order items are not returnable. Defective merchandise must have an explana-
tion of the problem. No credit will be issued unless invoice number and date of purchase has
been supplied. Manufacturer shall be sole judge of defects in a product.
4.) UPS accounts - All returns must be prepaid. Do not send return shipments freight collect. Once
E&G has made its decision and it is a claim against our warranty policy, E&G will credit incom-
ing freight on damaged parts.
5.) No discontinued part or parts changed due to body style are returnable.

You are responsible for inspecting all packages containing E&G Classics' parts and product
immediately upon their receipt and must file a claim with the carrier for any damage disclosure by
such inspection and notify E&G classics in writing at the above address of any such damage. This
warranty does not extend to any of our products which have been subject to misuse, neglect, acci-
dent or have been altered or repaired in any way. This warranty does not cover any accidental or
consequential damages for any breach of this warranty agreement. E&G Classics shall have no
responsibility for any loss of time, inconvenience, commercial loss or consequential damage, nor
shall E&G be liable for any injury or damage to persons or property by reason of any defect in
material, workmanship or finish of its parts or products. This warranty gives you specific legal
rights and you may also have other rights which may vary from state to state.
