Welcome to Family Camp 2011

By Susan Huffer
Breath taking scenery, fresh air, hiking, breakfast and a horseback ride, fly fishing, golf, zip lines, and white water rafting—
sound like fun? How about a family fun night, an adult’s night out, nightly games, a crafts barn, YMCA sponsored activities,
napping, reading, and star gazing in the majestic Rockies? Then welcome to family
camp.
Families from First Christian have been going to Estes Park Colorado since the
summer of 1985. Attending that first Family Camp were the Maxwells, VanOsdols,
Eatons, Penlands, and Cathers, just to name a few. Since then, Family Camp has
evolved and grown while retaining its primary purpose: families from within the
Church family, having fun together.
The dates for next year’s Camp are June 26 through July 2, 2011. Additional
information will be available in the rotunda starting Sunday, January 9, 2011. Sign
up will begin January 17. Since the available spots fill up fast, start planning your
family tradition now. Questions? Contact Susan Huffer at 340-1619.
