field of Solar Energy in Pakistan .

Our mission is to popularize and deliver Solar Energy solutions to rural households and
market various solar energy products all over the country; as Clean, reusable and
affordable solar power is increasingly being recognized worldwide as the leading
alternative energy source for the 21st century. At the threshold of energy crisis being
faced by our country, SOLTECH passionately committed to combine latest solar
technology with nature’s most abundant resource ( SUN ) to deliver the cleanest, most
affordable and energy efficient solutions for a green future; and contribute towards
poverty alleviation of our country.

Introduction

SOLTECH International is engaged in the field Renewable Energy such as Solar, Wind
and Bio-gas. Main objective is to produce electricity to fulfill the minimum requirement
of electrical power after energy crisis and dusk in the remote rural areas of Pakistan ;
where conventional electricity could not reach in foreseeable future. SOLTECH is one
of the pioneer established solar companies in Pakistan. Since 2001 our company has been
installing solar systems for its residential, commercial and municipal clients. As a pioneer
in the solar field, we have witnessed the industry evolve from "ground zero." In this
period we have experimented with different system designs as well as a myriad of
different solar collectors, controls, pumps, and storage media. As a result we have
"hands-on" experience with applications that are truly cost effective and long lasting.
SOLTECH can provide a feasibility study that encompasses solar and details the
complete energy picture for an entire facility. SOLTECH does not represent just one
manufacturer of solar equipment and reserves its recommendations until after the site is
examined. As an energy consultant, SOLTECH can design a solar system to fulfill the
needs of anybody from the do-it-yourselfer to the architectural, engineering and
construction sectors.

PRODUCT:
Every home solar electric system has

5 essential parts:

· Solar panels

· Inverter

· Racking

· Wiring

· AC and DC safety shut-offs

Many solar systems also have these:

· Solar energy monitor (recommended)

· Net meter (recommended)

· Battery back-up (not recommended)

A home solar electric system works when sunlight hits the panels. The
panels capture sunlight and convert it into direct current (DC)
electricity. Then, the electricity goes through an inverter which
converts the DC electricity into alternating current (AC) electricity. AC
electricity is what you can use throughout your home

Solar panels are made up of many solar cells. Each solar cell is made
of a semiconductor material so it can conduct electricity.

When a little packet of energy that comes from light - called a photon
- hits a solar panel, electrons break away from the atoms of the
semiconductor material and start flowing. And, an electric current is
created.

This direct current (DC) electricity flows through the inverter where it's
converted into alternating current (AC). AC electricity is what we use
to power our homes.

COST OF SOLAR SYSTEM

The cost of a standard home solar electric system can be

anywhere from Rs20,000 depending on these factors:

· System size
A larger system will be more expensive and system size depends
on how much energy you need. System size is the biggest factor
that determines how much solar costs.

· Brand of equipment
As with everything, some brands are more expensive than
others.

· Equipment quality
Less efficient solar panels are less expensive but you also will
need to buy more to produce the same amount of power.

Cost of labor

· Federal and local solar rebates

Larger state rebates make for a less expensive system. Most solar
installation companies will let you pay the after-rebate price and then
they'll take the rebate when it comes. In other cases you may have to
pay the full price of the system and wait for the rebate yourself

The costs of solar energy can be high. Overall, the cost of a solar
system is usually between Rs8 and Rs10 per AC watt and this adds up
to a high total price tag. But, when you buy a solar system, you're
paying in advance for 50-60 years of power. When you think of it that
way, the cost of solar energy is not much compared to what this power
will cost from the utility company over the next 50-60 years.

This is especially true when you think about solar as an investment.

Plus, there are new affordable options for solar, which cost much less
upfront. With the price Rs20000 of the solar system you can run four
tube lights and two fans. But if you demand for higher solar system for
the appliances then the price will also be increased automatically.

Cost Breakdown

When you buy a solar electric system, here's where your money goes:

· Solar panels are 60% of the cost - they're mostly made up of

pure silicon, which is expensive and takes a long time to make.

· The inverter makes up about 10% of the cost

· All the other parts, like wires and racking, is about 15% of the
cost

· Labor is also about 15% of the cost

We provide free installation of our solar system to our

Promotion:

Guerrilla marketing

Guerrilla marketing is an unconventional system of promotions, running on a very low

budget, by relying on time, energy and imagination instead of big marketing budgets.
Typically, guerrilla marketing is unexpected and unconventional, where consumers are
targeted where they would not be expecting, which can make the idea that's being
marketed memorable, generate buzz, and even spread virally.

So as in SOLTECH, Promotion is generally sub-divided into two parts:

· Above the line promotion:

Promotion in the media (e.g. TV, radio, newspapers and Internet) in which the We
pay an advertising agency to place the ad.

· Below the line promotion:

All other promotion. Much of this is intended to be subtle enough for the
consumer to be unaware that promotion is taking place. E.g. sponsorship, product
placement, endorsements, sales promotion, merchandising, direct mail, personal
selling, public relations, trade shows.

Broadcasting advertisement:

Commercial advertisement is the practice of broadcasting for profit. This is normally

achieved by interrupting normal programming to air advertisements, also commonly
called "commercials" in this context.

For this purpose we are using

· cable television,

· satellite television,

· and satellite radio,

though such services are generally partially or wholly paid for by local subscribers, much
of the programming, particularly on cable television, is produced by company operating
in much the same manner as commercial broadcasters, and both they and often the local
cable provider are selling commercial time in the same manner.

Interactive media:

Interactive media is the integration of digital media

And for promotion of Soltech Products we including combinations of

· electronic text

· graphics

· moving images

· and sound,
into a structured digital computerized environment we allow people to interact with the
data for appropriate purposes.

The digital environment we include the

· Internet,

· and interactive digital television

· We have developed the a website to get the feedback of the customers

which is www.soltech.com.pk

For Creating the sufficient consumer demand of soltech products we are using pull
strategies to pull the product through the channels, that is the consumers are encouraged
to demand the product from retailers who in torn place orders with wholesaler or
manufacturer to meet the consumer demand.

This is done by heavy advertisement and suitable prices of products.

Franchise premium & contest:

We have given our franchises to install hundred solar systems in three months and if any
franchise achieves this target he will get 5% extra discount within this period
