c Weary In Well Doing c

So often when trying to do what the scriptures say, to do good unto others is
a thankless endeavor. To give our all to people, and to become the brunt of
their jokes hurts to our inner most being.

2 Thessalonians 3:13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.

So often those who are most wicked prosper. This thought plagued the
writers of the bible thru out time. An old Talmudic saying echo’s this: We
cannot comprehend, either the prosperity of the wicked, or the sufferings of
the righteous.

Galatians 6:9-10 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season
we shall reap, if we faint not.
10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially
unto them who are of the household of faith.

The apostle encourages us not to be weary in well doing, ‘for in due season
we shall reap, if we faint not.’ But this is little consolation when you have
been wronged.

Hebrews 12:3 For consider him (Jesus) that endured such contradiction of
sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

The only thing we can do when feeling betrayed is to look unto the LORD.
He who created the world came into the world and they murdered Him. So,
for us to think that anything less should happen to us is self-deception. Our
reward is not in the here and now.

Psalms 27:13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the
LORD in the land of the living.

Here is where our faith kicks in - the ability to see beyond our present time
and circumstance is necessary.

Isaiah 40:29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he
increaseth strength.
The apostle Paul instructs us that when he is at his weakest, is when he is at
his strongest.

2 Corinthians 12:10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in

necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am
weak, then am I strong.

This is one spiritually strong man that can take pleasure when he is
reproached and taken advantage of. The apostle tells us that he desires to
partake of the suffering that Christ experienced.

Philippians 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection,
and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his
death;

I love this scripture, it should be memorized, it should become our mantra.

2 Corinthians 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward
man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

Romans 2:7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for
glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

The LORD elaborates in our next scripture.

Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse
you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully
use you, and persecute you;

Matthew 5:10-12 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’
sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall
say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for
so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Revelation 2:3 And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake
hast laboured, and hast not fainted.
Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.

1 Peter 3:17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well
doing, than for evil doing.

1 Peter 4:19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God
commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful
Creator.

2 Timothy 2:3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus

Christ.

Revelation 7:17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed
them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall
wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and
there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there
be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Psalms 126:5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

Keep on keeping on, no matter how hard it is. JbY
