educativo, prisional), e a vários níveis (prevenção, tratamento). A aquisição destas competências é suportada no
Intended learning outcomes (knowledge, skills and competences to be developed by the students
(1000 carateres)
This Curricular Unit globally aims to promote a view about intervention in the field of Psychology, Justice and
Deviance, which is simultaneously critical, flexible and adjusted to the needs of individuals and the specificities of
the contexts. Particularly, we intend to promote skills concerning the design, evaluation and implementation of
individual and group intervention programs on antisocial behaviour and delinquency at various contexts (family,
school, community; youth justice system, prisons), and at various levels (prevention, treatment). Teaching is
supported by updated knowledge about risk and protective factors, as well as evidence-based intervention models.
The review and training of models and strategies includes intervention directed to individuals at distinct
developmental stages, as well as distinct levels of involvement with the problems at issue.

Evidence of the syllabus coherence with the curricular unit’s intended learning outcomes (1000
carateres)
The syllabus is organized to allow the teaching of intervention skills that emphasize an understanding of intervention
problems simultaneously critical, biopsychosocial and based in profound knowledge about phenomena, individuals
and groups. For this purpose, the syllabus is organized around 3 main guidelines:
a) Emphasizes classical problems in Psychology, Justice and Deviance (antisocial behaviour and delinquency);
b) Presents intervention models organized in classical intervention levels, from promotion and prevention
(universal, selective and indicated), to treatment, rehabilitation and maintenance;
c) Emphasizes intervention models that are adjusted to multiple contexts, from individual to community.

A avaliação contempla a
Evidence of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit’s intended learning
outcomes (3000 carateres)
Teaching methodologies are organized to guarantee distinct levels of outcomes of the learning process. Bellow we
identify these levels of outcomes and relate them to teaching methodologies.
