THE 7 MOUNTAINS OF SOCIETAL INFLUENCE

In fulfilling this God-given mandate to teach and disciple nations (Matt 28:19) the United States
Reformation Prayer Network will coordinate spiritual mapping and intercession around 7
strategic mountains, or "mind molders", that shape the culture of every nation. These 7
Mountains of Societal Influence are:

1. RELIGION
While I am aware that many of us do not like to use the word religion as a mountain of influence,
it is helpful as a societal influencer to term it as such. Under this mountain are some key
influential structures that are attacking the nation and an army from the church needs to be
mobilized to counter them.

a. The Local Church

I have been increasingly concerned that the prayer movement has moved too far away from any
local congregation centered prayer. What do I mean? We need the local church as the
backbone of the nation. Churches need to have groups praying for each mountain of societal
influence on a continual basis and be a voice in affecting the outcome of our nation.

i. Local Church Prayer Network Cheryl Sacks

We want to see a prayer-saturated church. In order to make this happen, I am appointing
Cheryl Sacks, the author if the book, The Prayer Saturated Church, to develop a network
of praying churches. While we will have a continued emphasis on apostles and prophets,
we never want to negate the importance of the local churches and pastors as a major key
to restoring the foundation of the nation.

ii. Children’s Prayer Network TBD

Under this mountain, we will also develop a children’s prayer network. At present we
working with Esther Ilnisky, author of Let the Children Pray, and Cheryl Sacks, co-
author of Prayer-Saturated Kids, to help us form this network and appoint a national
coordinator.

iii. Youth Prayer Network TBD

I am in discussions with various people on this, including Lou Engle of The Call, and
Brian Kim of The Luke 18 Project, which exists to catalyze equip and resource young
apostolic leaders in planting prayer communities throughout the nation.

iv. Intercessory Worship Network TBD

 Lastly, we will have a network of worship leaders in place to impart the vision and
mandate of rebuilding the Tabernacle of David, and offering up continual intercessory
worship. We are in discussion with Sean Feucht of The Burn 24-7 (an amazing network
of young psalmists) on this.

b. World Religions & People Groups

There are certain people groups who need to be reached who live in our borders. Also, a number
of them were responsible for the introduction of certain religions into the nation. We are
forming special continental wide special focus prayer networks for this purpose. Some that are
being formed include:

i. African American Prayer Network Will Ford

There are more than 100 black universities in America. Some of these, once founded
upon godly principles, have become hotbeds for Islam. As an advocate and propellant of
societal transformation through intercession, Will Ford, who co-author with Dutch Sheets
of History Makers: Your Prayers Have Power to Heal The Past and Shape the Future,
and author of Created for Influence: Releasing God’s Will for Your Life and Nation, will
coordinate this network.

ii Asian American Prayer Network Helena Hwang

Helena Hwang along with Jonathan and Sharon Ng of the Reformation Prayer House in
Los Angeles will head this up. Paul Tan will also network with this group. We are
believing for a greater prophetic voice to be released among the Asian people, as well as
intercession for the Buddhists in the nation, among other World Religions.

iii. Ethiopian American Prayer Network Alemu Beeftu

Dr. Alemu Beeftu, of Gospel of Glory will partner with us for uniting the army of
Ethiopian prayer warriors living in the U.S., to intercede on behalf of this nation.

iv. Hispanic American Prayer Network Mark Gonzales

This will be a network that we will communicate with in both Spanish and English. As
you may know, there are about 18,000 churches under the Hispanic Christian Leadership
Conference alone, of which Mark is a part of the leadership. A special focus on such
issues as Immigration Reform will be on their agenda.

v. Jewish and Messianic Prayer Network TBD

I am deeply burdened about the Messianic movement and see the need for a unified
prayer movement for the Jewish people as well as the Messianic community. I am
seeking the council of various Messianic leaders on this subject.

vi. Native American Jay Swallow

We are having our first National Day of Prayer for the Native American people on April
4th and 5th, 2008. It is also our desire to see a prayer network for each reservation in
America.

vii. Philippino American Herman Martir

Herman Martir, of Jesus Revolution Now, mobilizing believers in both the United States
and the Philippines, will work toward pulling together this prayer network.
There are many other people groups that need to be represented, and issues that need to be
addressed under this mountain of religion, such as New Age, Wicca, The Secret, and other
current strongholds in the nation.

2. FAMILY
We all know that the family in America is under attack. At the moment we are praying for the
right coordinator who has a passion to develop intercession for this mountain.

3. GOVERNMENT Timmerle Barnes

We are going to work under the direction of Timmerle Barnes from Colorado Springs, Colorado
on this mountain of influence. As many of you know, she works hand in hand with Apostle
Dutch Sheets who is developing the United States Apostolic Alliance. We are going to work
closely with both Dutch Sheets and Chuck Pierce’s prophetic gift in the coming days.

I have contacted several leaders who work in Washington DC as to who will coordinate for us at
the federal level and will report to Timmerle and the network as to what is happening in the
Supreme Court, as well as congress. Of course, we want to cover the president and all federal
level positions as well.

It is my vision to see an intercessor-watchman at each state capital who will keep us informed
about the laws that are being presented at the state levels as well as interact with government
leaders who need intercession. This will help us be pro-active rather than reactive in prayer.

a. United Nations
We cannot over look this aspect because they are headquartered in New York. We are currently
in discussion with Jody Wood on this, who works with a prayer group at the United Nations and
also oversees the intercession for New York City under Joseph Askins.

4. BUSINESS
This is a complex mountain and we are praying about the different kinds of leaders for differing
segments. One of these is economics, for which Jerry and Mona Tuma of Cornerstone Financial
Services will work with us. For example, over the past few weeks, we have been sending prayer
alerts to Jody Wood in New York to pray for the stability of the stock exchange and to see the
Federal Reserve take appropriate action to prevent economic collapse.

We want to see prayer cells planted in large corporations, as well as small mom and pop shops.
We would also like to conduct research to find out what kinds of prayer cells already exist in
which businesses across the nation to determine the need. This is a big job and we are looking
for the person who has the passion to take this on.

5. MEDIA/COMMUNICATIONS
We will continue to pray for the Hollywood industry. In addition, prayer teams just went to all
the major news services in New York. We need intercessors for the liberal newspapers to see a
revival among journalists.
6. ARTS/ENTERTAINMENT
This bleeds over a bit from the Media focus but is wide open concerning the fine arts and music
industry. The intercessory worship network will contend for the raising up of Christian artists
who will release new sounds in praise, produce art and movies that draws people’s attention to
God, creative writing that keeps people’s attention on God, and prophetic movements that shake
the heavenlies!

7. EDUCATION
We are partnering with the current collegiate prayer movement to help raise up houses of prayer
on every university campus in America and restore prayer on every level of the educational
process. Among others, we will be partnering with Brian Kim of The Luke 18 Project and
Jaeson Ma of Campus Church Networks to coordinate strategic intercession for the education
mountain. As believers, it is our responsibility to teach and disciple our nation according to a
Biblical worldview. One of our targets will be to tear down the spirit of humanism over the
nation’s educational system.

We are believing for a holy reformation to occur in each of these seven mountains of societal
influence through the power of fervent, effectual prayer!
