SITE OF THE PROJECT

1 The Site

1.1 Site of the Two-Lane Project Highway shall include the land, buildings, structures
and road works as described in Annex-I of this Schedule-A.

1.2 An inventory of the Site including the land, buildings, structures, road works, trees
and any other immovable property on, or attached to, the Site shall be prepared
jointly by the Authority Representative and the Concessionaire, and such inventory
shall form part of the memorandum referred to in Clause 10.3.1 of the Agreement.

1.3 Additional land required for Toll Plazas, Traffic Aid Posts, Medical Aid Posts and
vehicle rescue posts or for construction of works specified in the Change of Scope
Order issued under Clause 16.2.3 of this Agreement shall be acquired in
accordance with the provisions of Clause 10.3.6 of this Agreement. Upon
acquisition, such land shall form part of the Site and vest in the Authority.

Site:

Site of the Two-Lane Project Highway consists of the section of National

Highway-91 commencing from Aligarh at km 140.100 and extending up to
Kanpur at Km 418.160 and including Gursainganj Bypass which is 6.170
Km in length(including 2.180 Km existing state bypass). It also includes
10.435 Km of Kannauj Bypass under construction by state PWD. The land,

DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROJECT HIGHWAY

1 Development of the Project Highway

Development of the Project Highway shall include construction of the

Project Highway as described in this Schedule-B and in Schedule-C.

2 Two-Laning

2.1 Two-Laning shall include the Two-Lane Project Highway as described in

Annex-I of this Schedule-B and Annex-I of Schedule-C.

2.2 Two-Laning shall be completed by the Concessionaire in conformity with

the Specifications and Standards set forth in Annex-I of Schedule-D.

Description of Two-Laning

1 Width of Carriageway

1.1 The paved carriageway including shoulders shall be 10 meters wide and formation
width shall be of 12m as per figure 2.1 of section 2 of the Two Lane Manual of
Specifications and Standards:

Provided that in the following urban stretches, the width of carriageway shall be 15 m.

1.2 Except as otherwise provided in this Agreement, but subject to the provisions of Annex-

Project facilities shall be constructed in conformity with Annexure-I of Schedule-C.

3. Specification and Standards

The project highway shall be constructed in conformity with the specification and Standards
specified in Annex-I of Schedule-D.

4. Other-Features of two laning

4.1 Sections requiring footpath and lined Drains

At the following towns/built-up areas, footpath and lined drains shall be provided
( Refer Clause 2.5.2 of Manual).

4.5 Realignment

In the following sections, the existing road geometrics are deficient with respect to
minimum requirements and their improvement to prescribed standards requires
acquisition of additional land. Subject to the provision of additional land as required,

PROJECT FACILITIES

1 Project Facilities

The Concessionaire shall construct the Project Facilities in accordance with

the provisions of this Agreement. Such Project Facilities shall include:
(a) toll plaza;
(b) roadside furniture;
(c) street lighting;
(d) pedestrian facilities;
(e) landscaping and tree plantation;
(f) rest areas;
(g) truck lay-bys;
(h) bus-bays and bus shelters;
(i) traffic aid posts;
(j) medical aid posts; and
(k) vehicle rescue posts;

2 Project Facilities for Two-Laning

Project Facilities forming part of Two-Laning and to be completed on or

before the Project Completion Date have been described in Annex-I of this
Schedule-C.

1 Project Facilities

The Concessionaire shall construct the Project Facilities described in this

Annex-I to form part of the Two-Lane Project Highway. The Project
Facilities shall include:
(a) toll plaza;
(b) roadside furniture;
(c) pedestrian facilities;
(d) tree plantation;
(e) truck lay-bys;
(f) bus-bays and bus shelters; and
(g) traffic aid posts;
(h) medical aid posts; and
(i) vehicle rescue posts;

2 Description of Project Facilities

Each of the Project Facilities shall be constructed in accordance with the

Manual of Specifications and Standards specified in Schedule-D.

Specifications and Standards for Two-Laning

1 Manual of Specifications and Standards to apply

Subject to the provisions of Paragraph 2 of this Annex-I, Two-Laning of the

Project Highway shall conform to the Manual of Specifications and
Standards for DBFOT Road Projects published by the Indian road Congress
(IRC No. IRC:SP:73-2007). (An authenticated copy of the Manual has been
provided to the Concessionaire as part of the bid documents.)

2 Deviations from the Manual

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in the aforesaid Manual,

the following Specifications and Standards shall apply to the Two-Lane
Project Highway, and for purposes of this Agreement, the aforesaid Manual
shall be deemed to be amended to the extent set forth below:
