Summer Training
 3 BRD, Indian Air Force, Chandigarh, India (May-July, 2006)
 Project – (1) “Modernization of AI -20 Flushing Test Rig” – This project involved redesign of the existing Flushing
Rig with indigenized components.
(2) “Design of Frequency Tester for Turbine Blades of TV – 2 Engine Line” – This project dealt with the design
of the new compact clamp which will do the job of holding the blades.
 Achievements – Satisfactory completion of the project within the given time frame and Indian Air Force is
looking forward for the installation of the Flushing Rig according to the given design.
 Bokaro Steel Plant, SAIL India Ltd., Jharkhand, India (June-July, 2004)
 The vocational training included the study of various departments of the company, organizational structure
and suggest improvements in the processes and production methods followed.
Academic Project
 B. Tech Project on “Game Development for Production Management” (Aug 2006 onwards): The project
focus towards the ‘Simulation of Industries in realistic settings’, and development of software models
applicable to them. (Supervisor – Dr. Arun Kanda, Associate Head of the Mechanical Department, IIT Delhi)
 Mini Project (Jan-Apr ‘06) – “Development of a 20KW Entrained Flow Powdery Biomass Gasifier
for use with a 100% Producer Gas Fuelled Spark Ignition Engine” – The project achievement is
compact design and better gas quality. (Supervisor – Dr. M. R. Ravi)
 “Development of an Evaporative Cooling Cold Storage” – This projects aims to develop an
evaporative cooling cold storage which has advantage over vapor compression system.(Dec, 2004)
 Project involved “Study of Refrigeration System in Cold Storage” and find out the fault in the system
that resulted in low performance of the system. (May-July, 2005)
Positions of Responsibility
 Chairperson, SAE IIT-D Collegiate Chapter (March 2006 onwards)
 Mentoring juniors for participation in Mini Baja in October ’06 in South Africa (estimated budget Rs. 11
lakhs) and Formula Student in UK (estimated budget Rs. 15 lakhs) in May, 2007
 Led a team of 11 SAE executives in organizing 4 industrial trips, 2 national competitions, publishing an
annual magazine and maintaining a club website. Represented IITD in the SAE International review meet
 Collaboration of SAE – IITD chapter with industry for funds; and projects for the SAE members.
 Member of SAE-IITD chapter from 1st year and taken the club for International membership in year 2006.
 Proposed restructuring of AIC / creation of a new Board and track for running All Terrain Vehicle in the
institute campus is being favorably considered by a high level committee.

 Voluntary Activity - Taught a group of 20-25 children of slum dwellers in 3 BRD, Indian Air Force,
Chandigarh teaching drive at ‘Parikrama’. Initiated, managed and conducted study classes in
school for children from slum areas.
 Sports – Represented Bokaro district in the State Level Football team. Captain of the winning
volleyball team in the inter-school championship in Bokaro.
