Utah’s Musical Youth are Invited to Audition for MusicGarage.Org 2011 Outdoors Concert Season
Intermediate-to-advanced musicians/bands encouraged to try-out for 2011 concerts, fairs and festivals

Salt Lake City, UT – The Utah Arts Alliance (UAA) will host open auditions for intermediate-to-advanced
rock, jazz, blues and bluegrass musicians up to the age of 18 from January 15 - February 15, 2011 for the
MusicGarage.Org 2011 outdoor youth concert season.

Since 2009, MusicGarage.Org’s youth music programs have

performed at fairs, festivals and venues statewide including
the Utah Arts Festival, Desert Rocks Music Festival, Deer
Valley Amphitheater and over twenty others.

Coached by a team of MusicGarage.Org musicians,

producers and recording artists, the program is expanding
from rock music (RockGarage) to jazz (JazzGarage), blues
(BluesGarage) and bluegrass (BluegrassGarage) in 2011.

though February 15 for March 4, 2011 rehearsal start date.

When: By appointment between now and February 15, 2011
Season: Spring and Summer 2011
Criteria: Up to18 years. Intermediate-to-advanced. No beginners.
Cost: Auditions are free.
Adult musicians are encouraged to contact MusicGarage.Org to get their

About MusicGarage.Org

MusicGarage.Org is a program of the non-profit Utah Arts Alliance with over 8,000 square feet of
rehearsal, performance and recording facilities, art gallery, artists’ studios, a dance studio and a newly
expanded all-ages live music venue. The musicians and producers who run MusicGarage.Org have
produced over 400 youth in more than 250 youth concerts. MusicGarage.Org sponsors and staffs
MusicStudio classes in Utah’s public schools. MusicGarage.Org also does stage management and
production services and training at festivals, fairs and events.
