SAN FRANCISCO -- January 13, 2011 -- Scribd, the world's largest social reading
and publishing company, today announced that it has hired Geoff Hamm as senior vice
president of sales. Hamm will lead the company's monetization efforts as it expands its
current advertising offerings. He will be focused on strengthening the company's direct
sales efforts with Fortune 500 companies, many of which already use Scribd.
Hamm is a 15 year veteran of the digital advertising industry, having most recently
served as North American sales director for Electronic Arts where he increased
corporate revenues by more than 30% in his first year. Prior to EA, he launched his
Ìnternet career at Adbot and grew with with Excite@Home, Work.com, Ask Jeeves,
Orbitz and Yahoo!
