Should/Could/Would
Primeiro ponto importante a ser lembrado, é que a conjugação deles não muda!
Can
Will/Going to
Going to: é utilizado para fazer referência a uma ação futura que indica certeza
absoluta, ou então algo que foi planejado.
A estrutura é “be + going to”
Ex: She is going to travel next week.
I am going to the bank tomorrow.
Will: usado para fazer referência a uma ação futura que indica incerteza, ou seja, uma
probabilidade.
Expressões que podem ser utilizadas para reforçar a ideia de incerteza.
Maybe
I think
Probably
I guess
I hope
I expect
Present Continuous
Usado para indicar ações que estão acontecendo agora, no momento da fala. É composto por
“to be” no Simple Present + verbo principal + terminação -ing.
Ex: She is watching Tv.
Is she watching Tv?
OBS: Quando o verbo termina com -ie, troca-se por -y e junta com o -ing (Lie – lying)
Quando o verbo segue o padrão consoante, vogal, consoante, duplica-se a última consoante.
(To cut – Cutting)
Quando a última consoante é w ou x, ela não é dobrada. (To snow – snowing)
Se a silaba tônica for a primeira, não se dobra a letra final. Acrescenta-se o -ing (Open –
Opening)
