FOAM CONCRETE

BLOCKS
Foam concrete blocks are made of a type of
cellular material made from mixing aqueous
foam with a mixture of cement, fly ash and
special additives. The lightweight properties
are a result of an ingeniously simple idea of
the hardened material consisting of small
enclosed air bubbles making it lighter than
regular bricks. The material densities range
from 500 kg/m3 to 1800 kg/m3. Strength
and dimensional stability is imparted to
the block using air curing or pressure
steam curing.

Advantages
LIGHTWEIGHT
Lighter than clay or fly ash bricks
Faster Construction
Very Suitable for modifications in existing buildings
Ideal for pre casting (reinforced/otherwise)
Can be handled manually in large sizes also
LOW WATER ABSORPTION
low water absorption at 9% for 900 kg/m3 compared to
concrete at 50% and ordinary brick at 50% to 80%
This means less wall cracks, seepage and energy saving
during construction thus saving money
Advantages
HIGH THERMAL INSULATION
Thermally 5 times better than clay bricks and at least 10 times better than
RCC
Assures higher quality of air-tightness
Also ensures cooler interiors during summers and warmer during winters
improving savings in recurring energy costs in air conditioning and heating
HIGH FIRE PROTECTION
Impressive fire protection with just 100 mm wall thickness  of 1000 kg/m3
offering endurance against heat transmission for 4 hours without
releasing any toxic fumes during the fire
Advantages
 ECOFRIENDLY
 Unlike in the use of clay bricks, fertile topsoil is rescued
 Fly ash and other industrial waste are used in a major
part of the manufacturing blocks
 Manufacturing energy consumption is low compared to the
production technologies of clay bricks and concrete fly ash
blocks
 Reduces echo effects
 GREAT ACOUSTICS
 sound reduction of upto 37-42 db
 Further reduction possible by adjusting block thickness
 Properties are remarkable enough to fulfill required STC
(sound transmission class) rating
Advantages
OTHER ADVANTAGES
Enhances carpet area
Efficient putty  or POP finish in internal partition walls
Precise sizing and shaping help cut down on plastering costs
Superior wall finishing reduces paint expenses
Manufacturing quality does not depend on weather or seasons
Impervious to insects and termites/Longer life span
Universal acceptance
Advantages
COST EFFECTIVENESS
minimized construction costs due to rapid
and effortless installation
Almost ZERO maintenance thus reducing long
term costs
minimal sand and water costs
savings on steel, cement and energy
labor and time saving
