Emoluments:Basic pay in time scale of Rs.7200 - 19300 plus DA, HRA, CCA etc as per
Bipartite settlement amended from time to time (pay scales are due for upward revision)

Eligibility criteria

Age (as on 01.01.2011): Minimum age 18 years, maximum age 28 years (relaxation of
age for reserved candidates as per govt guidelines)

Relaxation in upper age; SC/ST candidates by 5 years; OBC by 3 years; PwD by 10


years; Ex-serviceman 3 years in addition to the usual period of service in the Defence
forces subject to a maximum age of 50 years; widows, divorced women and women
judicially separated from their husbands who have not re-married by 9 years i.e. subject
to a maximum age of 35 years for General category candidates, 38 years for OBC
candidates and 40 years for SC/ST candidates; all persons who have ordinarily been
domiciled in Kashmir Division of J&K state during 01.01.1980 and 31.12.1989 by 5
years; the children/family members of those who died in the 1984 riots by 5 years

Educational qualifications (as on 01.01.2011): A pass with 55% marks (50% for
SC/ST/PwD/Ex-servicemen) in HSC of 10+2 (10+2+3) pattern/11th standard of
(11+1+3) pattern or Intermediate/Pre-university or any equivalent examination/diploma
in banking recognized by central/state govt or UT admn; or degree in any discipline from
a recognized University; or any equivalent qualification recognized by central govt

For Ex-servicemen (who do not possess the above) a pass in service (departmental)
examination which is recognized as equivalent to civil examination not below the rank of
higher secondary school examination

All educational qualifications should be from recognized university/central/state/UT


administration

Should be able to write and speak English fluently


Knowledge of local/state language for which he desires to apply, will be an added
qualification

Computer literacy-should possess a certificate in computer literacy

Probation period:Minimum period of 6 months. Before the probation period comes to


an end, the performance of the newly recruited clerical staff will be evaluated and the
probation period of those staff whose performance fails to meet Bank’s expectation, may
be extended

Candidates are required to apply on-line through website www.bankofbaroda.com.


No other means/mode of application will be accepted

Candidates are required to have a valid personal e-mail ID. It should be kept active
during the currency of this recruitment project. Bank may send call letters for written test,
interview etc through the registered e-mail ID. Under no circumstances, he/she should
share/mention e-mail ID to/or of any other person

In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her
new e-mail ID before applying on-line

Applicants are first required to go to the Bank’s website www.bankofbaroda.com and

Thereafter, open the recruitment notification entitled recruitment of 1500 clerical staff-
project 2011

Take a print of the entire recruitment notification, including the fee payment challan

Fill in the fee payment challan in a clear and legible handwriting in block letters

Go to the nearest Bank of Baroda branch with the fee payment challan and pay, in cash,
the appropriate application fee in account no 29040200000199 with Bandra Kurla
complex branch in favour of recruitment of 1500 clerical staff-project 2011. The amount
of fee to be paid is indicated below

Obtain the applicant’s counterfoil copy of the application fee payment challan duly
received by the Bank with (a) branch name and code number, (b) journal/scroll
number/transaction ID (c) date of deposit and amount filled by the branch official

Candidates are now ready to apply on-line by re-visiting the recruitment page of the
Bank’s website and going to the sub link titled online application for recruitment of 1500
clerical staff project-2011. Click on this sub link will open up the appropriate online
application format

Carefully fill in the necessary details from the fee payment challan in the on-line
application form at the appropriate places

Original counterfoil of the fee payment challan will have to be submitted with the
call letter at the time of written test. Without counterfoil of the fee payment challan
the candidate will not be allowed to appear in the written test. Candidates are
therefore advised to keep 3 photocopies of the fee payment challan for future use

The name of the candidate or his/her father/husband etc should be spelt correctly in
the application as it appears in the certificates/mark sheets. Any change/alteration
found may disqualify the candidature

There is provision to modify the submitted on-line application. Candidates are requested
to make use of this facility to correct details in on-line application, if any. This
modification facility shall be available after 2 days of registration and up to 12th

Bank of Baroda Clerical Recruitment 2011 Important dates

Payment of fees at Bank of Baroda branches: From 17th January, 2011 to 10th
February, 2011

Date of written test: 17th April, 2011

Fees deposited after the last date i.e. 10th February, 2011 will not be entertained by the
bank

Nationality/citizenship: A candidate must be either (i) a citizen of India or (ii) a subject


of Nepal or (iii) subject of Bhutan or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India
before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a
person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African
countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and
Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of
permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii),
(iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been
issued by the govt of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is
necessary may be admitted to the examination/ interview conducted by the Bank but on
final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the govt of India has
issued the necessary eligibility certificate to him/her

Selection procedure: Selection will be on the basis of performance in written test and
Interview. Details of written test and Interview are as under

Written test: All eligible candidates will be called for a written test which will be of
objective type. The objective test consists of (i) Reasoning ability (ii) Numerical ability
(iii) Clerical Aptitude (iv) English (v) Socio-Economic, Banking Awareness (vi)
Computer Awareness. There will be negative marks for the wrong answers in the
objective test. Candidates will have to pass in each of the objective tests

Candidates shall have the option to answer the test papers either in English or Hindi

Depending upon the number of vacancies, only those candidates who rank sufficiently
high in the written test will be called for Interview

Final selection will be on the basis of the ranking accorded after adding the marks
obtained in the written test and Interview

Other detailed information regarding the written examination will be given in the
Acquaint Yourself booklet which will be made available to the candidate along with the
call-letter

The Bank reserves the right, if required to hold a second stage of written test on the basis
of order of merit in the written examination of first stage, as referred above. If the second
stage of written test is held, the subsequent process of interview and further process
would be on the basis of order of merit of the second stage examination

here below. The Bank reserves the right to alter this date and/or centre under unforeseen
circumstances, if any

Interview: Those short listed candidates in the order of ranking in the written test as per
the cut-off marks determined by the Bank shall be called for interview and the decision of
the Bank in this regard shall be final

Pre-examination training (for SC/ST/PwD/minority community candidates only): It


is proposed to impart pre-examination training to a limited number of candidates
belonging to SC/ST/PwD/minority communities at Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata and
Mumbai centres at the discretion of the Bank. An eligible candidate who wishes to avail
of pre-examination training should fill in the relevant column in the online application.
All expenses regarding traveling, boarding, lodging etc will be borne by the candidate for
attending the pre-examination training programme at the concerned centres

Call letters for the written examination: The date of the written test is tentatively fixed
as 17th April, 2011. However, it will be intimated in the call letter along with the
centre/venue for the examination, well in advance of the date of the written examination.
Any change in date of written test shall be intimated on Bank’s website

All eligible candidates will be issued call-letters at the correspondence address given by
them in their online application which will be sent by post and also informed by email.
Candidates who do not receive call-letter should contact in person at the address for the
respective centres of Bank's website furnishing his/her name, address, registration
number and production of fee payment challan. Candidates can also download their call
letters from 12th April, 2011 to 16th April, 2011 from the Bank's website

Decision of the Bank in respect of all matters pertaining to this recruitment would be
final and binding on all candidates

Process.
1. What should I do if there is lot of delay in accessing the page?

Speed for Registration of On-Line Application on Internet, is based on various factors like Internet Speed, large
number of applicants trying to register the application at the same time etc. Therefore if you are not able to get the
pages for registration immediately, please retry after a gap of 15 minutes or during off-peak hours during the night.

2. How do I know that my application is registered?

Successful Registration is indicated by the Page displayed after clicking the Submit Button indicating the generated
"REGISTRATION NO." and "PASSWORD". Please note down the same carefully and preserve it. If you do not
preserve it, you will not be able to Re-Print the Application and download the Call Letter.

3. I did not receive the email intimation for registration of my application?

"REGISTRATION NO." and "PASSWORD" are also sent by auto-response Confirmation emails. Delivery of these
emails purely depends upon the correctness of E-Mail ID provided, Policy of your E-Mail Service Provider to accept and
Divert such emails under Bulk or Spam Mails or bounce back such mails without accepting it due to heavy number of
emails generated by our Applications. In case of Govt./official /company Email Ids, delivery is controlled by your
Company Policies. Therefore, please do not expect replies from us, if you do not receive such confirmation / auto-
response Emails.

4. How do I re-confirm that my application is saved?

In case of doubt about the successful Registration, candidates are advised to visit the Page for Re-Print of Application,
generate the Printout and preserve the soft copy and hard copy (printout) of the Application.

5. I got Blank / Zero Registration No. after submission of application on-line?

In rare cases Candidates may get Zero (0) Registration No. with valid Password. Candidates are advised to Re-
Register the Application and check the Printout through Re-Print Application.

After filling up the complete form, I got Blank Screen / Internet got disconnected / My PC closed / hanged

Please refer to Point No.4. If you do not get the application printout through Re-Print option, your application is not
saved. Please re-apply.
7. I did not receive the acknowledgement / reply to my email communication?

"Reply to" Email Id for the Application is created for the convenience of the Candidates for genuine communications.
Please do not use this address to send back the emails for "Acknowledgment", "Vacation Mail", "Friendship Offers",
"Sales Offers" etc. Our Email Server is configured to delete such emails automatically.

8. What details should I retain while replying to auto-response emails?

While writing back by replying the confirmation emails for genuine problem, please retain the text containing
"REGISTRATION NO." and "PASSWORD" details on the email.

9. What details should I provide while writing for the problem?

Please do not forget to provide following details while writing to us: (1) REGISTRATION NO. (2) PASSWORD (3) DATE
OF BIRTH & (4) FULL NAME as entered in application. In case of application failure or any error message, we would like
to have the screenshot of the error in JPG, GIF format or as MS Word file. Additionally, you may provide the PC Details
including the Operating System (like Windows XP, Vista, Linux etc.) & Internet Browser & version (like Internet
Explorer 6.0, Mozilla 3.0, Firefox 3.5 etc.) used.

10. I want to change / correct the details I entered in the Application?

Please choose the 'EDIT' option to correct the details. Please note that you can use the Edit facility only after 2 days of
Registration date and can modify details only upto 3 times. If you have used 3 chances for corrections, please reapply
before the closure of Application Date as per advertisement. Please remember to take fresh print out after modifying
any details.

between 05.01.2011 and 25.01.2011 and no other means/ mode of application will be acceptable.

Go to the nearest Bank of Baroda Branch with the Fee Payment Challan duly filled in and pay, in Cash the appropriate

After filling in the details on the application form candidates are required to submit the application online and take a

Candidates should keep xerox copy of the application printout and original counterfoil of the fee payment challan for

Even if the last date of registration changes due to technical reasons, the valid dates for payment of
application fee / postal charges will not be changed. Payment of fee by Demand Draft / Cheque / Money
Orders / Postal Orders etc will not be accepted.

There is provision to modify the submitted on-line application. Candidates are requested to make use of
this facility to correct the details in on-line application, if any. This Modification facility shall be available
after 2 days of registration & up to 30.01.2011. Modification will be allowed only 3 times. After the last
