Lease Your Unused Roof Space for Utility-Scale Solar PV Projects

Borrego Solar Systems, Inc. is seeking interest from large industrial building owners to lease open roof
space in Southern California for the development of utility scale solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems.
Borrego intends to develop up to 20 MW’s of solar electric capacity on leased roofs to sell renewable
energy through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) to Southern California Edison (SCE).

Borrego is looking to sign 20 year leases in exchange for using the roof to install, own and operate said
PV generation systems. This is an opportunity for Host building owners to:

• Gain new revenue source from non-utilized roof space

• Increase the property value with no capital expenditure
• Gain marketing benefits from participating in the development of solar energy

Ideal Hosts for this opportunity own multiple buildings in the SCE service territory with more than
220,000 square feet of unobstructed roof space. Ideally Borrego would sign a master lease agreement to
cover multiple sites with more than 1,000,000 square feet in available space. Roof must be in good
condition with at least 10 years of warranty life remaining and the building structure must meet minimal
load requirement.
