tummy. Give a prize to the woman who is the most close! This is a baby shower favorite.

2) Never say "Baby": (Materials- baby safety pins or another type of baby object you can place on
a string for each woman at the party as well as string or yarn, enough for each woman to wear as

when she gets to the party. The rules for this baby shower game are given out at the beginning of
the baby shower that whenever someone says the word "baby" during the shower, any woman
who calls it out gets a pin from the other woman who stated the word. At the end of the baby
shower, the woman with the most pins wins a prize.

6) Guess How Many Safety Pins: (Materials- Safety Pins and Jar). Pass around a jar full of baby
safety pins. The one who guesses the closest wins a baby shower prize. A baby shower game
favorite!

One of our visitors, Lynn, stated that she filled a clear plastic container (about 50 qt size with
disposable diapers) all the same size (size 1) and had people guess how many diapers were in
the container. Of course, container and contents go to mom since, as we all know, you can never
have enough diapers. This baby shower game is very functional for the mommy-to-be!

You can find great baby shower party favors to help with the baby shower games as well as to
decorate your party!

Intelligence X
Humor X
Other X

Select 25 attributes and ask everyone to fill in the form from what each woman feels the
"mommy-to-be's" point of view" will be. After everyone checks off the list, have the mommy-to-be
state her preference. The one with the most correct match to the Mommy-To-Be wins a prize.

box starting with one. If you know that 15 people will be attending your shower, pre-print bingo
cards with numbers 1 through 15 and randomly place them on 15 cards. When the mommy-to-

14) Guess the baby pictures: Ask for everyone's pictures prior to the baby shower. Have all the
pictures in a collage and make lines for people to fill in who they think the babies are out of the
girls at the baby shower. If most women don't know each other, just have the pictures of the
mother, mother-in-law, sisters, and mommy-to-be. See how many people guess right. You can
make copies of the baby picture collage to see how many can guess right!

15) Baby Scrambler: Another fun baby shower game is to choose around 25 baby related items
and scramble the spelling. For instance, pacifier can be changed to reiifpca. Have the women
unscramble the words. The one who gets the most right in 5 min receives a baby shower prize.

16) Baby Song List: (Materials - pad of paper and pen for each woman). Have each woman write
down in 5 minutes all the songs that have baby in their titles (i.e., baby love, santa baby, one for
my baby). You can make it harder by stating that you have to name who also wrote the songs! A
baby shower favorite!

17) Pass the Dirty Diaper: (Materials- diaper, chocolate, music player). One of our "dirtiest" baby
shower games is for the host to take a diaper that has been "fixed" with warm chocolate in the
right place and have the woman pass it to the woman next to them (make sure everyone is in a
circle). When the host stops the music, whomever is holding the diaper is out of the game. a baby
shower favorite!

18) Place the pacifier in the babies mouth: (Materials- blindfold, create a baby picture and a few
pacifier drawnings with one for each woman). Tape a picture or drawing of a baby on the wall and
have the blindfolded women try to tape the pacifier as close to the mouth of the baby as possible
(The baby shower version of Pin The Tail on the Donkey).

19) Blindfold Diapering: (Materials- blindfold, baby lifesize doll(s), diapers). One of the funniest
baby shower games is for the women break into teams (up to five persons per team). Each team
has a doll, blindfold and diapers. The object is for each participant to place the blindfold on, take
the current diaper off the doll and place the new one on while blindfolded. After the first person
finshes diapering, they run to the next team-mate who places the blindfold on and has to do the
same. The first team to finish diapering wins!

20) Baby Tic-Tac-Toe: (Materials- Large paper or erasable board to make the tic-tac-toe board,
writing utensil, and baby facts). People are broken up in teams and have to answer a question
about a baby fact. If they get the answer right, they get to choose a space (like the classic tic-tac-
toe game).

21) Baby Alphabet Game - Give each woman at the baby shower a pen and a piece of paper that
has the alphabet written vertically down the left side of the page. The object of the game is for the
woman to write one word that has to do with babies next to each letter of the alphabet. Set a
timer for two minutes and whoever has the most baby words wins. (For example: A=alphabet,
B=bottle, C=cuddly bear, etc).

22) Baby Pictionary - Before the baby shower, create playing cards by writing words or phrases
that have to do with babies on each card. During the baby shower, divide into teams and give
each team a pen or pencil and pad of paper. Each round, one person from each team views a
card and draws the word or phrase for her team to guess. The team that guesses correctly first
earns one point. Set a timer for two minutes to keep the game moving along. If the timer goes off
before a team guesses correctly, allow someone new from each team to draw and choose a new
card. After playing 5-10 rounds, each team adds up their points and the team with the most wins.
A prize should be given to each person on the team. a baby shower favorite.

23) The Baby Shower Name Game - Ask each guest to choose a baby name. If the sex is not
known, have the women write down the name of boy or girl. If the sex of the baby is known, have
them write down both a first and middle name. When they're done, set a timer and tell them to
write as many words they can by using only the letters in the names they have chosen. Whoever
writes the most words wins!

24) Guess the Chocolate - (Materials- 5-10 diapers with 5-10 different types of chocolates). This
game is one of the funniest and most popular baby shower games. Have the baby shower host or
appointed person moderately melt 5-10 different candy bars separately, placing each one in a
diaper to be viewed by everyone. Mark each diaper as A, B, C, D, etc. Have everyone guess
which candy is in each of the diapers. Make sure to use some candies that have nuts, toffee,
caramel, etc. You are sure to get great laughs!

25) Guess the Baby Animal Name - Have each baby shower member write down every animal
that has a specific and different name for its young. For example, Lion-cub, Cat-Kitten, Dog-
Puppy, etc. Give everyone ten minutes to write down as many as they can think of. Read the
winners out loud to see how many people got the same answers. Click here for a
downloadable/printable copy. We thank Julie M for a wonderful printout baby shower game!

26) Name The Family (Materials - pad of paper and pen for each team or person). Another baby
shower game favorite is to come up with as many animal "family" names as possible that are
different (i.e., fish - school : wolves - pack: geese - gaggle: lions - pride: elephants - herd: etc).
make it a little easier on each team by creating the name of the animal on each groups' sheet and
have them guess the right word for that animal family.
27) Name The Baby (Materials - pad of paper and pen for each team or person). Have each team
write down as many proper names of animal babies as possible (i.e., duck - duckling, fish - fry,
lion - cub, cat - kitten, dog - puppy, and so on). Make it a little easier and give them the name of
the animals and have them guess the babies. The internet is a great place to find the names of
animal babies.

28) Creative Child Chocolate (3C's) Game - (Materials - chocolate bars of different types, pad of
paper and pen for each team). Give each team one of each type of chocolate and have them
associate something with the baby shower. For instance, Twix can be associated with Twins,
Milky Way with Breast Feeding (milk), The Three Musketeers with Triplets, Hershey's Chocolate
Kisses with baby kisses, etc. Have everyone read their answers outloud. A fun, creative and
memorable baby shower game!

29) Baby Shower Lotto (Materials- Calendar with large calendar month dates, highlighter pen,
and normal pen). Have the calendar of the month that the mother-to-be's baby is due at the front
door for guests when they arrive. Each day is divided into two parts: am and pm for the guests to
choose from in picking the date and general time the baby will be born. Make sure to have the
due date highlighted. Guests can "buy in" to a lotto ticket for a certain day (am or pm) that they
think the baby will be born. The guest who guesses closest wins a baby shower gift, of course
given after the baby is born. The fun part of the game is that the lotto tickets can be purchased by
using something other than money that is useful to the parents. Instruct guests beforehand that a
lotto tickets may be purchased with a diaper pack, baby bottles or baby whipes, etc. (Thank you
to our visitors who gave us this great baby shower game!)

30) Never Say Baby (Materials - beads for each guest to wear around their neck). Set the rules
when the guests arrive and take a necklace that no-one is allowed to say the word "baby" during
the baby shower or whoever hears these words from a guest, takes that guest's beads. The guest
who collects the most by the end of the baby shower will get a prize. A very fun game and a baby
shower favorite.

31) Mother, Mother, Who Am I (Materials - Pad of Paper and pencil/pen for each baby shower
participant) - This is a real fun and quizzical game where you give clues about "Famous Mothers".
For instance, who is the mother of nursery rhymes (Mother Goose), who is the mother of helping
others (Mother Theresa), What mother went to the cubbard to fetch her poor doggy a bone?
(Mother Hubbard), etc. This is a great baby shower game to play at the party and I am sure you
can think of more Mother examples. "Click here for a list. We want to thank Kathy for setting up
this great baby shower game!" If you want to play this great baby shower game for a couple's
shower and include both Famous Mother's and Fathers Click Here (right click to download).
Thanks to Melysa for this wonderful addition to the game.

32) Do You Know What It Is (Materials: 10-15 baby items, 10-15 small paper bags, writing utensil,
paper for each baby shower guest). Sort the baby items (q-tips, nail clippers, pacifier, etc.) into
the paper bags (one item per bag) and number the bags 1-10 or 15. Give each guest a pad and
pen and have them number 1-10 or 15 depending on how many bags you prepared and then
hand out the bags randomly to the guests. Each guest or team at the baby shower will try to
figure out what is in each bag based on what they can feel and/or hear (the bags can not be
opened). The bags are passed around until everyone has had a chance to touch and write down
their answers. The mother-to-be then opens each bag and shows it to the guests. The guest who
gets the most correct gets a prize, if there's a tie they have to answer a question about the
mother-to-be. For an added bonus, make a really hard item (shoulder pads, baby nail clippers) a
bonus at the end; for the one who guessed it correctly gets a bonus prize (if there's a tie, have
them answer a question about the mother-to-be). (Thanks to our baby shower visitor Craig for this
baby shower game)
33) Make A Baby (Materials: Small containers of play-dough). Each person at the baby shower is
given a small container of play-dough and everyone has 5 minutes to create a baby (using just
one container). Then each dough baby is placed on a plate and presented to the mother-to-be
who then looks at each dough baby and decides who's she likes the best. The winner gets a
prize. (Thanks to our baby shower visitor Craig for this baby shower game).

34) Feed The Baby (Materials: Bib, baby spoon and baby food jar for each couple that are
chosen). The object was to be the first to feed a jar of food to your partner. Baby shower
participants are broken up into two person teams. One teammate is given a bib and the other is
given a tiny spoon. When the mother-to-be says go, begin feeding the participant who is the
"baby". The first baby shower team to finish the jar wins. You will laugh hysterically as one of our
visitors Myrtis told us! Enjoy the game!

35) Name That Baby Tune (Materials: CD Player or Cassette Player). Just like the popular game
"Name That Tune", you can play the same game with baby songs. See which baby shower guest
can guess the baby song the quickest. The person at the baby shower that guesses the most
baby songs the quickest wins! Fun to also play in teams and keep score! This idea was sent in by
one of our baby shower visitors so thanks!

36) Baby's First Food (Salad Bowl, Cotton Balls, Big Salad Spoon). Set up a salad bowl in the
middle of a table, and empty out two bags of cotton balls - spreading them out around the bowl.
Blindfold the first baby shower guest and ask her to sit near bowl with a big spoon and see how
many cotton balls she can spoon into the bowl in 3 minutes. It's hilarious since you can't feel the
weight of the cotton balls, you don't know what you're doing. Whomever gets the most in the bowl
wins! Ideally, you would let the baby shower "mommy to be" and her relatives play as well as the
baby shower planner. Thanks visitor Karen for this idea!

37) Diaper Doo (Materials-small pieces of white material that can be folded into small diaper
lapels, safety pins, one small piece of chocolate). As guests arrive, pin a small diaper to each on
their lapel. Tell them they will be told later what it's about. At the end of the party ask everyone to
remove their diaper and open them up. One person should have a "special surprise" inside. The
melted piece of chocolate! This baby shower game idea was given to us by Pam :)

38) Purse Scavenger Hunt (Materials-each guests own purse/handbag) Can be played in teams if
someone arrives without a purse or handbag. A preprinted list is handed out to everyone with
various items normally found it ladies bags and items rarely found in them. Example-the invitation
to this shower, an overdue utility bill, any form of birth control, key chain with a baby picture,
picture of a pet, expired voters registration card, grocery list, grocery receipt with toilet paper
purchase. . .be creative and watch women go crazy empting out their personals for all to share!
Assign a point system. Grocery list may only be worth one point, where a baby rattle is worth 10!
Thanks again Pam for this wonderful baby shower game idea.

39) Whose Water Breaks First (Materials - Medium size plastic babies, Clear disposable cups
that will fit the plastic babies). This game is a great and fun game given to us by visitor Alejandra.
Prior to the day of the baby shower, fill each of the cups with water enough to cover the plastic
baby toys at least halfway (since they may float). Place the cups in the freezer until frozen stiff
(you need to prep the night before). The day of the baby shower party, give a cup to all the
women who attend the shower as they arrive. Whoever can melt the water the quickest or their
water breaks gets the prize. The baby shower attendees can try to melt by blowing hot air on it or
putting it in the sun (everything goes, let them get creative). It's a game that everyone can play at
the baby shower no matter what age or physical limitation they may have. Alejandra tells us at,
"Once had a guest try to outsmart me and place the cup in the microwave but the plastic cup
melted in the microwave and she was eliminated from the game (ha ha ha ha it was tooo funny)."
I think this game will soon become a baby shower favorite!
40) Who Sucks The Best (Materials: baby bottles with nipples all the same size, favorite drink or
drink of choice for the group and timer). This baby shower game is a riot since it involves those
who are participating to drink out of baby bottles and race to see who can finish the first. It is fun
to time everyone and see how long it takes for everyone to finish. Have teams and race in groups
with each group having a winner that moves up to the final. Also a great baby shower game to
play if the baby shower is co-ed. Have the men of the group race to see who can win for their
wives/girlfriends. One of our visitors to the site state they used Beer (sober driver please) as the
drink for the men. Have a great time.

41) Baby Shower Memory Game (Materials: clothesline, clothespins as well as items like baby
bottle, pacifier, bib, receiving blanket, shoes, socks, hat, gloves, baby pin, teddy bear, rattle,
onesie, sleeper, picture frame to hang up on the clothesline). Hang up a clothesline with all the
different baby items. Have two people hold up the line for 1 minute and then take the line down
(hide it) and have everyone write down every item they can remember (from memory). Give
everyone 3 minutes to write down as many items as they can remember. Bring out the line again
and see how many everyone got from their memory. An easy and fun baby shower game! Thanks
to viewer Carol for this idea!

42) Pregnant for a Day Co-Ed Game (Materials: Bag of medium balloons, a roll of yarn cut into
approx. 20 inch pieces, and a chair for each male participant). Don't tell the object of the game
up-front. Make a statement to the women in attendance-- "How many of us women wished that
men could be pregnant just for one day?" This statement will leave the men full of suspicion as to
what was about to unfold. Hand each man a balloon. For each man that doesn't have on shoes
with shoe laces, tie the piece of yarn around each of his slip on shoes to mimic a shoestring. Do
not form the bow. Only make a knot to help keep the yarn around the shoe. For those who do
have on string up shoes, instruct them to untie their shoes.

Instruct each man to blow up his balloon and tell each man when to stop filling it with air. The
balloons should be filled with enough air that it could fit under each participant's shirt, yet be a bit
uncomfortable for them to sit down and tie their shoes without popping the balloon. Keep in mind
that men who already have a "pot-belly" might need to blow up a smaller balloon. Give the object
of the game and the rules. Start the game and whoever ties their shoes without popping the
balloon, or lifting their feet from the floor wins. You'll see husbands, cousins, boyfriends come up
with such creative ideas as how to attack this difficult task. Naturally, you get a roll of laughter
from the baby shower guests as they watch this hysterical event and the men will get to see what
it's like to be pregnant for a day! Thanks Ja'Ponica for this idea!

43) Apple Sauce Never Tasted So Good (Materials: large garbage bags, jars with applesauce,
baby spoons). Pair up volunteers. Give each participant a garbage bag and instruct them to tear
out a hole for their arms and head and then put on the trash bag to cover their clothing. Blindfold
each participant. Give each participant a bowl of Applesauce with 5 or more tablespoons of
Applesauce in it. Have each blindfolded team feed their partner the applesauce and the team who
completes their jar the quickest wins. I've never seen so many people who couldn't get the spoon
to their partners mouth. Thanks Ja'Ponica for this idea as well!

44) Out Of The Mouths Of Babes: (Items required-pen and blank paper) - Give the baby shower
guests a time limit of 10 minutes and have them write down as many baby-talk words as they can
think of followed by the correct name for the words. Examples: potty is going to the toilet, poo-poo
is a bowl movement, wee-wee is urinating (or it may be a boy's penis), baa-baa is a bottle, bye-
bye is good bye, wa-wa is a drink of water. You may need to give them one example to get them
started. Our guest Pam whose idea this is stated, "At a recent shower, we played this game and
heard about 20 different terms just for "pacifier". Everyone has funny and different baby words so
there are no wrong answers. The real fun is reading them out loud and hearing some of the silly
terms we adults have come up with to communicate with our babies or the creative words our
children have used to communicate with us! It's hysterical how many adults still use slang words,
for example, we had someone write "poo-poo is baby talk for doo-doo"!! We laughed our "boe-
boe" off!" Thanks for the game Pam!

45) Draw A Baby Game (Materials: Crayon and paper plate) - Each participant is given a paper
plate and a crayon. They are asked to place the plate on their heads, like a hat. They are given 1
minute to draw a baby on the plate while holding it over their heads. They then write their names
on the other side. Mother-to-be chooses the best drawing as the baby shower winner. Thanks for
this idea Daima.

46) Doll Creations (Materials: Scrapbooking materials, scissors, glue) - Scrapbooking materials,
scissors, glue and a paper doll are given to each table (can include yarn, buttons, etc). Each table
has to dress up the paper doll with the materials provided. Mother-to-be chooses the prettiest doll
as the winner. A very cute baby shower game and lots of fun for the participants! Thanks again
Daima for this great baby shower game.

47) Guess the Birth Time (1" plastic baby figure, ice cube tray, string, water) - The night before
take a small - 1" or so plastic baby and place in an ice tray. Cover with water - you do not have to
fill just enough to cover the baby - then place a string or piece of yard into the water. Freeze
overnight. When the guest arrive hang the baby up over the kitchen sink or a bowl (something to
catch the water). Then each guest should pick a time that they think the "baby' will be born. When
the baby falls out whoever is closest to the time wins. This creative baby shower game idea
comes from Dana (thanks Dana!). She stated the first time she tried this game, they practiced a
few days before to see how long the ice would take to melt. If it takes longer then the time
allowed for the shower you may want to hang it up before the shower starts.

48) Guess the Baby Powder and Baby Formula (Materials: Ten different types of powder like
sugar, baking soda, sugar, flour, laundry detergent, pancake mix, baby powder and powdered
baby formula as well as 10 zip lock backs, paper and pens) - Number the bags 1 to 10 each
containing one of ten white powders All of the baby shower guests pass the bags around writing
down on a piece of paper what they thought the "white stuff" was. Whomever guesses the most
correct wins. Make sure to write down the actual powders before handing them out. Thanks to
Sarah-Lynn for this baby shower game idea!

49) Baby Shower "Loving" Advice (Materials: red and white cardboard paper, scissors, and
colored pens) - A great baby shower game to play is to have everyone write a "loving" message
for the mother and father to be on cardboard cutout hearts in giving them advice for when the
baby is born or during their last few days or months before the baby is born. The "loving
messages on hearts tie in with a Valentine's theme very well or at any time during the year.
Examples of this would be "Remember to enjoy the moments since they go fast, Get as much
sleep as possible before the baby is born and when he/she takes naps, Make sure to take lots of
pictures and keep up with a journal writing everything the baby does for the first time, etc. This
can be a very memorable and touching activity at the shower as well as help for the new parents.

For those who don't know the gender of the baby, get a scrap book page from a
scrapbooking/crafts shop with neutral colors (e.g. yellows, purples, teal) and with baby pictures
such as animals, rattles etc.. Stick it up on the wall and get 2 pads of heart-shaped post-it notes
(or cut out your own paper hearts in pink and blue). Everyone who attends the baby shower must
write 1 tip/advice for the parent's to be and use a pink or blue paper, depending on what they
think she will be having! She can read them out at the end of the party and can add it to her baby
scrapbook for special memories. Thanks to Taskeen for this great baby shower idea!

50) The Pacifier Pass (Materials: Pacifiers with handles you can hold and straws) - Break up into
teams of 4 or 5 people and have everyone stand in a line facing the person in front of them. The
first person will place a straw in their mouth and place the straw through pacifier handle and in
their mouth (the straw in their mouth not the pacifier). When you say "go" the first person passes
the pacifier to the next person who should have their straw in their mouth and lets the pacifier
slide down their straw (without any hands and no contact other than the straw). Everyone on the
team passes the pacifier from straw to straw, no hands, no contact but lots of fun. Thanks to
Steph for this great baby shower game!

51) Baby Diaper Raffle (Materials: Pen, Invite, special gift for baby shower guest) - Make it known
on everyone's invitation, that if they bring a pack of diapers (for a newborn) to the baby shower
that they will be entered into a drawing for a gift. This is a great way for helping make sure the
new parents will have enough diapers to start with! Thanks to Jessica for this idea which she did
at her baby shower.

52) Guess the Bibs Lottery (Materials: Paper and pen) - When the guests arrive, ask them "guess
how many bibs will the mother-to-be get in her gifts." Write the guests name on a piece of paper
with the number. Have someone count the total number of bibs after all gifts are opened. the
person with the closest guess wins a prize. Thanks to Renee for this great baby shower game!

53) Find the Safety Pins (Materials: large bowl, long grain rice, safety pins ?(small or medium)
and blindfold) - Fill bowl with rice and about 20 safety pins. Blindfold each participant from the
baby shower for 1 minute and let the participant feel around in the bowl to see how many safety
pins they can get. Keep score for each person playing. you would not believe how hard it is to tell
the difference of the safety pin and the rice. Thanks Monita for this baby shower game idea.

54) Guess the Baby Picture (Materials: Tape, cardboard, pads of paper and pens/pencils) -
Before the baby shower, ask everyone to bring in one picture of when they were one years or
younger. Have all the pictures posted on a board and have everyone guess who each of the
babies are. The winner should get a gift!

55) Guess The "Celebrity" Baby (Materials: Celebrity Magazines, Baby Magazines, Poster Board,
Glue) - Prior to the baby shower, go through magazines cutting out 15 different pictures of babies.
Go through varies different magazines and cut out baby heads and celebrity bodies. Paste the
baby heads onto the celebrity bodies. Try to use a variety of celebrities from different era's too as
to accommodate the different ages of your guests. You can either use a giant poster board and
paste the pictures onto it or you can paste the pictures to cardstock and laminate each one. Don't
forget to number each one and write down the celebrity. Have each guest try to guess the name
of the celebrity. The one who guesses the most correctly wins. Thanks to Trisha for this idea.

56) Baby Shower "Guess What's In The Bag" Game (Materials: Paper Bags of different sizes to fit
different size items, items listed below, pen) - You will need 10 paper bags. For fun, use colored
ones. On the front of the first bag put a letter "B", the second "A", third "B", fourth "Y", and so on
spelling out "B A B Y S H O W E R". Inside each bag is an item for the baby beginning with the
letter on the outside of the bag. Guests cannot pick up the bags. Display them on a table so they
can see how big the bags are. Whoever guesses the most correctly wins. Here is an example of
what you might put in the bags:

B - Bottle, brush, booties, burp cloth

A - Aspirator, apple sauce
B - Bib
Y - Yellow Rubber Ducky (you may have to give a clue for this one)
S - Spoon, soap, shampoo
H - Hat, hanger (baby size), headband
O - Onesie, oil, oragel
W - Wipes, wash cloth
E - Ear suringe, ear ache medicine
R - Rattle, receiving blanket, rash medicine

Thanks again to Trisha for this idea!

57) Baby Sock Game (Materials: 14 pairs of baby socks that can be given to the mommy to be
after the game, timer). Take the 14 pairs of new baby socks of different styles and colors and mix
them up. Next, start and timer and tossed them in the middle of the floor, each guest has 1
minute to try and "match" as many socks as they can. A very fun baby shower game.

58) The Baby Supplies Memory Game (Materials: Different baby items such as a bottle, pacifier,
diaper, etc as well as pads of paper and pens) - Place several baby items on the table (i.e., rattle,
teather, lotion, bottle scrubber, mittens, comb). Leave the baby shower items out for a few
seconds to view the items and then take the items away. Everyone has to write down as many
items as they can remember. The one with the best memory wins. And the mommy of course
gets to keep the items. Thanks to Mariah for giving us this baby shower game!

59) Diaper Bag Game (Materials: Diaper Bag, necessary items for a new born or their parents,
pads of paper and pens) - Take a diaper bag and fill it with everything that the mother to be will
need to take with her every time she goes out with baby. Give each guest a paper and pen and
have them write down as many things they think are in the diaper bag in a certain amount of time.
Time limit should depend on how many items there are to guess. When times up start taking the
items out of the diaper bag and see who guessed the most. At the end the Mother to-be gets to
keep the diaper bag and all the items. A favorite item of mine to add to the diaper bag is a
disposable camera for those once in a lifetime shots (most guests miss that one). Thanks to
Carolyn for this great baby shower game idea!

60) Baby Shower Memory Game (Materials: Poster Board, paper, candy bars, pen, tape) - Take a
large piece of poster board with 20 small (3x5) pieces of paper lined up in number order (1, 2,
3...) with five across and four down. Under each paper was a word has a match under another
paper. Example: 1 was "Baby Girl" and 20 was "Baby Girl". The players choose two numbers,
trying to match the words. Each match was given a prize. "Baby Girl" received a Baby Ruth candy
bar. "Laundry" received a Mounds candy bar, "Daddy" received Sugar Daddy candy,
"Breastfeeding" received Milky Way, "Contractions" received Good and Plenty, "Epidural"
received Lifesavers, "Bottle" received Baby Bottle Pop candy, "Crying Baby" received Screaming
Sours candy, "10 pound baby" received Whoppers. (Find candy at the candy store, and make up
your own words!) Everyone loved this game! We didn't know what candy was going to be given
out, so it was fun to guess while people were playing the game. Thanks to Melissa for this
wonderful baby shower game.

61) Baby Shower Onesies (Materials - Plain white onesies/different sizes. decorative permanent
paints that are safe/non-toxic, cardboard) - Place small cardboard in each onesie as support and
pass out the plain white onesies of different sizes to guests and have them write their names on
the bottoms to dry shortly after guests arrive. During the baby shower, pass out the respective
onesies back to the baby shower guests and have them decorate the front/backs of the onesies.
The mother-to-be keeps the onesies and they serve as good memorabilia of the shower and a
useful gift for the baby. Thanks Val

62) Piggy Bank Advice (Materials: Piggy Bank and have everyone bring change) - Have a baby
shower guest purchase a cute piggy bank and have each guest place some change in the piggy
bank as they give the mommy-to-be helpful or funny advice. It does not have to be expensive
since guests can deposit spare change or currency into baby's bank while giving useful advice. It
is also fun for one of the baby shower planners to write down all the advice and who it is from for
the parents-to-be to read it later and when they need it most :) This also helps starts the baby's
piggy bank off which is nice! Thanks to Mrs. T for this wonderful idea!

63) Baby Sock Match Game (Materials - different color brand new baby socks and stopwatch) -
Have two people at a time race to see who can match the most baby socks. Take 10 pairs of
baby socks for each baby shower participant and give them 30 sec to match as many as they
can. Make sure to separate the baby's socks before playing. A great way to have fun and also
stock the mommy-to-be with new socks. Thanks to a baby shower visitor for this idea!

64) Baby Hold'em (Materials: deck of cards, baby shower gifts and baby shower poker lovers) -
Just like playing Texas Hold 'Em. Instead of using money the "buy in" is with a baby gift. This lets
the men (or women) play a little poker and those who do not or do not know how to play can learn
and not lose any money. The winner of the Hold 'Em tournament wins a gift instead of cash.
You'll be surprised at how "big" the bets and raises are in this hold em game which benefits the
parents-to-be. Thanks to Sonya for this idea!

65) Clothes Pin Game (Materials: Clothespin for each baby shower guest) - All the women are
given a clothes pin (they also sell pink/blue ones at party stores) and the baby shower guests are
not allowed to cross their legs. Any baby shower guest who is caught crossing their legs gets
their clothes pin taken away from the person that caught them. The woman with the most clothes
pins wins a prize. Thanks for the idea Sylvia : )

66) Dress The Baby (Materials: Baby life-size dolls, onsies, diapers, socks, shoes, shirt and pants
for each baby doll and stopwatch) - Have each team race to see who can dress the baby doll the
first. Each person (or team) must have everything correctly on the baby doll when saying finished.
Points docked for missing articles or articles not placed on right. A really fun game and a great
way to collect some clothes for the mother to be at her baby shower when the game is finished.
Thanks to Brandy for this idea!

67) Quarter Back (Materials: Piggy Bank and Money) - For those who are having a couple's baby
shower, a father-to-be baby shower or women who love sports, watch the superbowl or any
sports game. The rules are that all the baby shower guests have to watch the game in absolute
silence: no yelling, no cheering, nothing. If you do yell out, there is a baby's piggy bank in the
middle of the room, into which you have to deposit a quarter for every offense. This is a great way
to start the savings for the baby!

68) Receiving End (Materials: Plastic life-size baby dolls, diapers, wipes, baby powder, desitin,
apple juice, chocolate) - Have someone get each baby doll ready with a current "soiled" diaper
that has both apple juice and chocolate. It is even fun to make some of the dolls full of apple juice
by placing a hole in them and filling them up. Have each baby shower guest choose a doll and
change it with a clean diaper. It may be fun to do this if everyone is distracted (like watching a
movie, sports game, etc). It is also another great game that goes with game #67 for the dad-to-be
and their friends. Sure to get some great laughs. Thanks to Dal for this great baby shower game.

69) Cotton Ball Scoop - (Materials: Cotton Balls, 2 Large Bowls, Large Spoon) - Fill a large bowl
with cotton balls (doesn't matter how much) place this bowl in a baby shower guest's lap. Grab
another large bowl and place it on a baby shower guest's head and ask them to place one hand
on the bowl that is on top of their head (the host can help hold the bowl). Blindfold the guest and
hand them a large spoon (soup spoon, mixing spoon) and make sure this spoon is deep enough
to pick up cotton balls. Each guest has 5 chances to spoon out the cotton balls and place them in
the bowl that is on top of there head. The guest with the most ball wins!Remember they cannot
use hands only the spoon. As Jessica writes us, this is so funny because everyone thinks they
have cotton balls in the spoon and they are being very careful but when they look at their bowl
they have nothing! A great baby shower game...Thanks Jessica.
70) Baby Bottle Thaw - (Materials: mini baby bottles 1/2" - 1" for each baby shower participant
and plastic shooter cups or medicine cups) - put the baby bottle in the small plastic shooter cups
or medicine cups and fill with water and freeze (this would mean that the bottle is frozen in the
shooter cup/medicine cup). At the shower give one to everyone and tell them the baby wants the
bottle, they have to melt the ice by breathing on it or holding it, whoever gets their bottle out first
wins. A fun baby shower game from the William's Family! Thank you!

71) Baby Shower Food Race - (Materials: 4 blindfolds, 4 baby bottles, 4 plates, 4 baby food jars) -
Get all baby shower guests that want to participate in pairs of 2. Each pair gets a baby food jar,
baby bottle with apple juice(or some other type of drinkable liquid) and a blindfold. The one
person in the pair that has the jar of baby food will get blindfolded and will have to feed their
partner while both sitting across from each other in chairs. When they are done with the whole jar
of baby food, the person blindfolded has to drink what is in the bottle to win. The first team to do
this the quickest while racing wins! You can also have fun by replacing the babyfood with Jell-O
or pudding to make it taste better but place it in the jars for authentic purposes :) Thanks to
Rebecca from El Paso for this great idea!

72) Baby Scrapbook (Materials: Scrap book, ribbons, stickers, colorful pens etc) - A real neat
baby shower activity is to make a baby scrapbook for the parent's to be. Give everyone a page to
create borders, pictures, and little sayings so you can place them all in the book for the mother to
be to use when taking pictures of the birth and on. It is a great way to have everyone participate
in the memories. It is even fun to take a picture at the party of every baby shower participant and
place it on the back of the page so you know who did the page for you and who attended the
baby shower. Lots of times stores such as Garden Ridge, Hobby Lobby, Michaels have
discontinued items that cost as much as a dollar and as little as 25 cents. Thanks to Mrs. O for
this great idea.

73) Memorize It - (Materials: Piece of paper and a pencil for each guest) - Have a tray filled with
lots of baby items; bottle, rattle, jar of food, etc. Have the mom-to-be walk around and show the
tray to each guest. (They will begin to try to memorize what's on it!) Then, having pre-prompted
the mom-to-be, to excuse herself to the restroom. Direct the guests to write down what the mom-
to-be was wearing, NOT what was on the tray! You might have the mom-to-be wear extra jewelry,
sweater, etc. beforehand. Thanks to Debbie G. for this great babyshower game idea!

74) Baby Gift Bingo (Materials: Square cards with 4 or 5 squares across and down with pictures
of baby items in each square - i.e., bottle, pacifier, blanket, clothing, diapers, etc - and a pen for
each participant) - This is similar to bingo but is played while the mom opens gifts. Give each
baby shower participant a square card with 4 or 5 squares across and down. The very middle is a
freebie. All the other squares are filled with baby gift items that the mom may receive while
opening her gifts such as pacifier, blanket, clothing, diapers, etc. Each card needs to be a little
different in layout of the gifts and some cards have items listed that others don't. This way there
will not be 5 people getting the bingo. The goal is to get a line of items across or down,
sometimes if nobody is close then let the participants take the four corners as a winner. The
person(s) with a line or bingo get a baby shower prize. This is fun for guests to do while the mom
is opening the gifts and it keeps everyone involved. A great idea for our visitor Christine!

75) Baby Shower Right and Baby Shower Left - (Materials: a baby shower prize and the following
story to be read) - DIRECTIONS: Form a circle with all baby shower participants. Each time you
hear the word "right", pass the baby shower wrapped prize to the person on your right. When you
hear the word "left", pass the baby shower prize to the person on your left. When you finish this
story the person holding the item is the winner of it. Have either the mommy-to-be start the game
or choose who holds the prize first. Here is the story to read when playing:

This is a story about Mrs. Wright's baby shower tea party. She lived right at the end of Lefty Lane,
the third house on the left. Today, Mrs. Wright's was hosting a baby shower tea party. The
women would enter left, right through the front door and greet Mrs. Wright, they would head right
down the stairs, turning left then right into Mrs. Wright's family room where the mommy-to-be
was.

Two of the girls were left-handed so they would sit at the left of the table. Mrs. Wright held up her
right hand and all of her friends grew quiet, except the left-handed girl on the right patting Mrs.
Wright's dog named Hefty Lefty.

Mrs. Wright asked Sarah Wright and Julie Wright to pass out the teacups starting to the left.
Sarah Wright and Julie Wright started out left but turned back because they left the cups just to
the right of the table, right next to the spoons. Mrs. Wright said, "That's all right."

Mrs. Wright began to serve her friends some pie when Grandma Wright smelled the delicious
desserts and left her bedroom to join the Wright girls. She went down the stairs and turned left
than right, right into Mrs. Wright's family room.

Grandma Wright knocked and entered left and sat in the rocking chair on the left. Sarah Wright
and Julie Wright invited Grandma Wright to join them at the table.

Grandma Wright had been to many baby showers as a young girl and right before they realized it,
Grandma Wright was telling them a stories from when she was the mommy-to-be and went to the
right cabinet and in the left drawer were pictures of her baby shower.

As the party ended right on time, they all put their dishes right in the left side of the sink and
thanked Mrs. Wright and Grandma Wright for such a wonderful time. Soon, all of the women from
the Wright baby shower tea party turned right than left, then left again to return to the front door
and out to the right car that they arrived in. Down lefty lane they went. Now who ended up with
the right gift? Thanks to Heidi F. for a wonderful game!

76) Match The Socks - (Materials: socks, bag, timer) - Go out and purchase 10 pairs of baby
socks and place them into a bag shaking and mixing them up. Time each person to try and match
as many socks as they can in 1 minute. A fun game as well as a great way to get 10 pairs of baby
socks for later use by the mommy-to-be. Thanks to Isabella from Sydney for this game!

77) Baby Shower Give-Away - (Materials: Envelopes to match the amount of attendees, Paper to
Fit Each Envelope, Tub or Basket, Decorating Materials for tub/basket, Pens) - Purchase a nice
basket or tub and decorate it with baby type art. Purchase blank white envelopes that have a
baby shower theme on them or just plain envelopes. Place the basket or tub on the table at the
baby shower and have each baby shower guest fill out the front of the envelope with their
address. In each of the envelopes, give them a little paper to write a message or advice for the
mother to be. Have each guest leave the envelopes unglued. At the end of the baby shower,
have the mommy-to-be select one envelope from the pile and give out a baby shower gift!

This envelopes can later be used by the mommy-to-be for writing thank you notes and saving her
time. The tub or basket can be used as well to store baby shower gifts, supplies, bathroom stuff
at a later time! Thanks to Patricia for this wonderful idea!

78) Pass the parcel (gift) - (Materials: baby shower gift (one for mother to be), newspaper, gags,
several instruction stickers which are blank stickers that you will create, a baby doll with diapers
and sippy cup, blindfold, rubber glove, oversized tongs, bib) - Wrap a gift with around 10 or more
layers of wrapping paper and add an instructional sticker to each layer (see below for some
ideas). Some of the stickers should say, "GAG" which means the baby shower participant has to
do whatever the gag states (see ideas below). Pass the parcel/gift without music but according to
instruction stickers stuck on the outside of the gift. So the package may say: pass the gift to
someone wearing pink. That person wearing wearing pink then takes off a layer of packaging.
They may receive a prize, a gag, or just the instruction of who to pass to next. Keep going until
the final wrapper which has a sticker stuck on it saying "pass this to the mother to be" and have a
gift for mother or baby.

Some of the ideas for the gags may read: (or think up some creative ones yourself):

• "Oh no! Baby has just pooped. Change his diaper blindfolded within 30 sec and win a
prize" Then have the guest complete the activity.
• "Oh no, baby's hungry. Have the guest drink a cup juice/milk through a sippy cup within
the time limit.
• "Oh no, baby's bored. Sing them your favorite nursery rhyme"
• "Oh no, poopy diapers in need of soaking! Lift tissues (the dirty diapers) from one bowl to
the other using rubber gloves and oversized tongs while blindfolded. If they all land in the
new bowl then win a prize.
• "Messy baby! Wear this bib until this game is over"
• "Mommy has just informed daddy that her water broke. Daddy's first words
are________?" (this can be quite funny if daddy is known to say silly things)

Passing instructions, Be as creative as you want with this. Some ideas are, pass the gift to:

some one wearing a blue shirt/ glasses/ socks/ earrings ect.

someone who has most recently had a baby
someone who has the most children
someone who has the most daughters (or sons)
three passes to you left
three passes to you right
pass to the person directly across from you
some one who either has all girls or all boys
someone who is an aunty
someone who is a grandmother
someone with blonde hair
someone wearing pink
someone who is not related

Thank you for this wonderful baby shower game idea from Hanna from Brisbane, Australia!

79) Mommy Multi-Tasking - (Materials: two 5-6 foot pieces of rope, clothes pins, baby clothes or
baby doll clothes, 2 laundry baskets, 2 baby dolls, and 2 telephones (you can use a toy phone, a
cell phone, or whatever is available). To play this game, you have two people hold the ends of the
rope. The players must hold a baby doll on their hip, talk on the phone (they must actually engage
in a "conversation" on the phone) and the must put clothes (that are piled in the laundry basket on
the floor) on the rope using their clothes pins. You put a one or two minute timer and the player to
get the most items hung on the rope with out dropping the baby or stopping talking on the phone
wins! The baby shower guests get a huge laugh watching everyone struggle withthis awesome
baby shower game! Thanks to Jackie from Fort Worth, TX for this great game!

80) The Baby Shower Waddle Game - (Materials: Balloons, 2-4doz Eggs, 3 Soup Spoons, 3
Large Bowls, 3 6-12ct Egg Crates, 3 Chairs) Take your guests outside (this may get messy) and
have them form 3 teams. Each guest much blow up a balloon large enough to fit under his/her
shirt to resemble an expectant mother. Have the teams for 3 lines. Place a 6-12 ct (dependant on
# of guests) egg crate on a chair by the 1st "Waddler" in each line. About 3-5 yards away from the
"Waddlers", have someone from each team hold a large bowl filled with 8-14 (dependant on # of
guests) eggs. Give a spoon to the 1st Waddler in line. When the Mother-To-Be cries "Waddle
Waddle", the 1st players begin waddling (one hand on back or underbelly and the spoon in the
other) to the person opposite them holding the bowl of eggs. The "Waddlers" scoop an egg out of
the bowl with spoon (they can only use one hand!) and waddle back to place the egg in the crate
on the chair and give the spoon to the next "Waddler". If someone drops their egg they must go
back and get another one. The first team to fill their crate wins. Thanks to Elizabeth for this great
baby shower game!

81) All About Friends - (Materials: Paper or Paper Plates, markers/pens for each baby shower
guest) - Ask each baby shower guest to privately write something about themselves that no-one
really knows. As our baby shower guest Mary states, "It really added a lot of fun to the game as I
showed the picture and read from the back. Then the other guests had to guess who the mystery
person was. It was hilarious to find out who roller-skated competitively, who took cello lessons
and who forgot her to wear her skirt to school one day and just went in her slip! One of my 80+
year old guests was a cheerleader and star of her high school play." Thank you Mary for this
great baby shower game idea!

82) Having A Baby - (Materials: Balloons) - Split all the baby shower guests into 2 or more teams.
Give each person a balloon (having a few spare balloons as well for popages). When you shout
"Go" Each team has their first member blow up their balloon and stuff it up their top. When they
finish placing it in their top, the second and then third team member does the same until the entire
team is pregnant (fun to play with a coed group as well). When the last person in the line
becomes pregnant, the first person needs to give birth and pop the balloon until the whole team
have popped their balloons. The quickest team "giving birth" wins. Thanks to Kellie for this funny
baby shower game idea!

83) Winner Takes All - (Materials: Piggy Bank, "All Detergent") - The piggy bank is passed around
and everyone puts there spare change in it. Then each person is given the chance to guess how
much change is in the piggy bank. The person who comes the closest to the right amount wins
"All" laundry detergent and the mom-to-be gets all the money! This is a very entertaining
game...especially when you see the face of the person who wins the detergent. Thanks Willis for
this great baby shower game idea!

84) Egg Nesting - (Materials: Color Easter Eggs or Little Pumpkins, or X-mas Stockings, ect...) -
This is a great game around any holiday as you can use the symbol of the holiday for an item for
each baby shower guest. Eggs work great because they also represent fertility. Take and fill each
egg with one square of toilet tissue per egg. As baby shower guests arrive, each guest including
the mommy-to-be takes an egg. Throughout the party, guests are not to leave their eggs
unattended, except to go to the restroom, eat, or participate in a game that requires hands on. If
they must set down their egg they need to ask another guest to egg sit for them. Throughout the
party, eggs (as many as a guest has in their possession) can be taken away if another guest sees
an egg unattended or being neglected or if they are dropped. the person at the end of the party
with the most eggs wins a prize. Thank you from Cheryl for this great baby shower game!

85) Watch What You Say - (Materials: Pen and Paper). This is just a game where laughter is the
prize! While the mommy-to-be is opening her gifts, have the host or one of the guests write down
everything she says while she is opening each baby shower gift. When she has finished opening
all the gifts, tell the guests that you would like to read something to them! Say this is what the
mommy-to-be said to her man the night she conceived the baby! Then read each little saying
from the list! You will have everyone rolling in tears. Here are some funny sayings that was said
at my sister's baby shower:

"Oh my gosh I've never seen one like this before!"

"Oh that feels so soft."
"Awe its so little."
Thanks to Kandi for this excellent baby shower game!

86) Name Tag Donation Game - (Materials: piggy bank, name tags, pins or two sided strong
tape) Before the baby shower, make name tags for the guests. The names have to be baby-
related like pacifier, circumcision, dirty diaper, burp rag, etc. Put all the name tags in a bag and as
the guests arrive, each will draw a name out of the bag and pin it on their shirts. This will be their
name for the rest of the baby shower. If anyone calls the guests by their REAL name, then they
have to put a quarter or just loose change in the baby's piggy bank. By the end of the party, the
baby has a great amount of money for their first piggy bank. This is a very fun and hilarious
game. Again, thanks to Kandi for this wonderful idea!

87) Guess The Baby Shower Bill - (Materials: Various useful baby supplies and gifts) - Have
someone purchase baby shower useful products (i.e., lotion, baby wash, Q-tips, diaper cream,
wipes, etc.) and place them in a basket or decorative container. Baby Shower guests will then
guess the total amount of the bill. The person who is closest without going over will win a baby
shower favor but the mommy-to-be would get to take home the goodies. Works best if you have
one receipt for all the items. Thanks to Stephanie for this great idea!

88) Pins in Rice - (Materials: bowl, white uncooked rice, safety pins) - First, get a bowl and pour a
bag of white rice into it. Then you put a lot of different sized safety pins and blindfold the baby
shower attendee. Each baby shower participant has to get as many safety pins and they can
within 1 minute. Thanks to Kimberly for this wonderful baby shower game.

89) Diaper Raffle (Materials: Diapers, baby shower gift) - Place a card in the baby shower
invitations that says "Have the chance to win an Extravagant gift basket! Bring a bag of diapers to
enter your name in the raffle! You may enter as many times as you like!". Make a large gift basket
and fill it full of fun stuff any one would love! A great, simple and easy way to get the mother-to-be
tons of diapers which she and her significant other will appreciate! Thanks to Candice for this
excellent idea!

90) Tinkle In The Pot - (Materials: two quarters for each baby shower participant, masking tape,
pickle jars or glass bowls, balloons optional) - Every pregnant woman is always running to the
bathroom. This game lets us laugh about it. Group participants in teams of 4 or 5. Be sure to
have two quarters for each person and jars/dishes as there are teams. Place a tape strip at a
starting line on the floor. Have teams line up behind the starting line. Place jars across the room
from each team. Baby shower contestants must place the quarter between their knees and
waddle to the jar. They must drop the quarter in the jar (tinkle in the pot). NO HANDS
ALLOWED!! If the person misses or drops the quarter along the way the must start over. Each
teammate had to go twice. The first team to make all of their potty runs will win prizes. Because
there are so many winners we had small inexpensive gifts. This had the ladies rolling with
laughter. We also had some hilarious photos afterward. It is also fun to put balloons up your shirt.
You can not see the pot while playing). Thank you to Michael for this wonderful baby shower
game!
