SmB-15 Fishing History

May 05
- Cycle control line 10 times. No indication of piston movement (100 ml
hydraulic returns)
- RIH slowly with 1-7/8" sinker bar tagged 162.1mRKB. Tool hung-up
(potential flapper partially open).
- Pressure up control line to 4000 psi, pumping @ 1bpm for 30 min.
Increase pumping to 2 bpm and pull sinker bar weight at 650 lbs - able to free
sinker bar.
- Recommend not to use toolstring with 90o shoulder.

June 05 (Lock-open SCSSV Attempt)

- Suspect control line pressure still not holding (not sure if control line is
connected to SCSSV or SVLN)
- RIH SLOT to TRM-4A SCSSV. Jar down 30 times - no movement of the
valve.
- Observed SITHP drops 300 psi. Pulling weight drops by 70 lbs. POOH.
- Left SLOT in hole.
- 2.75" LIB tagged top of fish (Suspect upper body - item #3 of the SLOT)
@ 159.1 mRKB.

Oct 05 (Fishing SLOT)

- RIH 2.75" OD BDK Releasable Spear w/dummy slips into SLOT upper
body - connected and able to shear pin.
- RIH with 0.95" - 1.06" slip - able to latched on fish. Jar up for 45 minutes.
POOH.
- Found top of releasable spear attached to the tool string. (Refer pic)
- Tagged TOF @ 158.8 mRKB. Need to jar down to release spear.
- Set plug @ SVLN.

Feb 07 (Injectivity Test)

- Attempted to bullhead SW to establish injectivity - fail due to SITHP
increases from 300 psi to 1000 psi at 0.25 bpm for 0.5 bbls.
- Total SW pumped 9.5 bbls. Leak-off rate from 1000 psi to 300 psi in 6
minutes. Reset plug @ SVLN.

A) Condition of SLOT @ TRM-4A SCSSV

• Suspect lower no-go dogs (Item 4) and upper no-go dogs (Item 26) are in
expanded position and might be wedged inside the polished bore.
• Top rope socket/ top sub of the SLOT was backed-off / has been parted
during lock-open job.
Possibility of hydraulic ram / cylinder rod (Item 2) is dropped in hole due to
aggressive jarring action during the lock-open job. Bottom section (Item 21,
22, 25, and 23) is possible dropped in hole as well.
-
- B) Condition of the BDK Releasable Spear inside SLOT
-
• Top sub was retrieved and spear is attached inside the SLOT causing the
upper no-go dogs (Item 26) to be expanded.
• Need to have a cylinder rod to be jarred down on the top of the BDK upper
portion to release spear.
• Once spear is released, to RIH overshot to fish out the whole BDK
Releasable Spear.
-
-
- OPTIONS AVAILABLE
A) To attempt to kill D-90 sand from the annulus (through gas lift valves).
If D-90 can be killed from the annulus, proceed with blind back-off tubing
during workover. If well cannot be killed through annulus, proceed to Step B.
- (Tentatively 2nd week of April) - EMEPMI
-
B) To run in hole wireline fishing tools to retrieve the spear (To plan job by
2nd week of April) - Geowell to submit proposal.
a. To RIH cylindrical rod/6 ft length sinker bar to jar down on the spear
to release into locked position.
b. To fish BDK spear with overshot -> Use hard material / releasable
overshot.
- Will be manufactured based on the size of the top body of the
BDK spear. (Geowell/Asep)
- Once spear is retrieved, test the tubing injectivity.
c. If no injectivity, run in hole long rod (OD = hydraulic ram inside
SLOT) to tag top of hydraulic ram inside the SLOT.
d. Mill SLOT up to upper no-go dogs (Item 26). [Run burn shoe may
not be feasible due to limited clearance from tubing ID to OD of SLOT].
Then RIH overshot to retrieve SLOT (evaluating COS) - (Baker) Targeted
first week of May.
-
C) To proceed with milling overall SLOT, will need to consider cementing
top of fish (unlikely due to extended duration required based on hard
materials).
-
D) To go with workover rig and to perform straight pull on the tubing (36
kips). D-90 estimated BHP = 900 psi.
