Third Sunday in Ordinary Time
The Gospel tells us that Jesus “withdrew” when John the Baptist was arrested. It is important to know
when to withdraw. Many disputes at home are about petty things. We may win an argument but
damage the relationship. Knowing when to withdraw from conflict is the Spirit’s gift of wisdom and
the reward is peace.

390 Holy Hour Adorers spent time with our Lord in Eucharistic Adoration this past week. During
Eucharistic Adoration, we "watch and wait", we remain "silent" in His Presence and open ourselves to His
Graces which flow from the Eucharist. By worshiping the Eucharistic Jesus, we become what God wants
us to be! Like a magnet. The Lord draws us to Himself and gently transforms us. In its fullest essence,
Eucharistic Adoration is "God and man reaching out for each other at the same time!” Please call Judy at
330-212-0926 if you would like information on becoming an adorer.

Spot Light on…….. The Adult Choir

We hear their heavenly voices at the 9:00am Mass every Sunday. Bishop Lennon himself
has complimented our Adult Choir on how they make the Worship of our Lord during
Mass more enjoyable and more spiritual. The Adult choir is a ministry that is of vital
importance to our worship experience. However, they are in need of more individuals
that want to praise the Lord through music. If you feel that you would like to lend your voice to the
service of the Lord, contact Donna Kandes at 330-825-0122. The choir practices on Wednesday evenings
from 7:15-8:15pm, come and worship the Lord in this unique ministry.

You shall take some first fruits of the various products of the soil which you
harvest from the land which the Lord, your God, gives you, and putting them in a basket, you shall go to
the place which the Lord, your God, chooses for the dwelling place of his name. Dt 26:2

Saint Vincent DePaul Society

When we think of the Saint Vincent DePaul Society, we often think of canned food drives, baskets at the
holidays or blankets on special Sundays, but the Saint Vincent DePaul Society is so much more. It is
designed to help individuals who cannot help themselves and have nowhere else to turn. The Saint
Vincent DePaul Society at St. Augustine Parish continues to help those families with utility bills and well
as referring clients to others agencies depending on need. This cannot be done without your help. St.
Vincent DePaul Society is in need of financial assistance as well as individuals to volunteer. For more
information on how you can help, contact Jack Lohan at

330-825-8925.
