I am responsible for assisting people in the office with drawings and administrative tasks. Some responsibilities
include editing drawings that have been red-lined, testing color paint samples on building drawings, preparing
images for community presentations, and making phone calls to people that the firm works with.

Volunteer/Full-Time Staff June 2008-Present
I am a volunteer who spends time with children from the South of Market neighborhood. During the school year,
whenever I can, I help out with homework and other afterschool activities. During the summertime, I accompany
the children on field trips and weekly trips to the local park and recreation center.

I am responsible for one of either two facets of the job: videography-setting up and using camera equipment to film
guest lectures and school events, and tech set-up: preparing the school lecture hall for a lecture and working with

Architectural Firm – Part-Time Intern/Special Assistant Feb. 2008-May 2008
Assistant to head architect. Working on a special project that the firm is commissioned to do. The firm has entered
an international high school design competition for a school to be built in the Philippines. Tasked specifically to
create perspective drawings and help out with the preliminary and final design process. This job qualifies as my
senior year internship and school service learning requirement.

Assistant to a deputy director, architect. Being trained to look at what is right and wrong with a particular facility
with regards to ADA standards, whether it is the width of a bathroom cubicle, how steep a slope is on a wheelchair
ramp, and whether or not a facility has a proper route of entry for a person who is disabled physically. Also driving
out with my boss to the sites and examining their accessibility. Administrative duties and office support.
