PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION

The study done during the project at Saravana Global Energy

Limited was not given to me and was asked to find it during my stay at the
company. The study started with the introduction to the company and during the
interaction with all the department heads I found that the company is facing
problem regarding employee absenteeism and the employees are not satisfied.
So taking that into consideration I prepared a Questionnaire through which we
can get answers as to what is the main reason for absenteeism and all other
related issues like Job satisfaction. The Survey has been conducted from
employees in order to find out the satisfactory level of the employees towards
welfare measures of Saravana Global Energy Limited in Peddunaicken kuppam
at Cuddalore.
The questionnaire was prepared with the consultation of the H.R.
head and the information that was collected during the interaction with different
people of the same organization.

According to the principle, industry has an obligation or

duty towards its employees to look after their welfare. Employee
welfare is also highlighted as a state policy in the directive
principles of India constitution

SUGGESTION
After the Study that I carried out at Saravana Global
Energy ltd for a span of one month where in I found out some
issues which the employees were facing and in turn even the
company is affected by this. To find out the same problems we
carried out a sample questionnaire which included a Sample size
of 50 employees. After seeing the questionnaire and the facts
that we collected through the questionnaire in the company there
are few suggestion that I want to make to the company which can
help them to overcome these problems

 The company should improve the canteen facility.

The Food provided by the canteen does not satisfy the
needs of the employees working there. So to satisfy
them they should improve the food quality and provide
healthy food.

 The company should arrange for better Transport facility for

their workers.

P.A.Jain Bharatesh College of Business Administration, Belgaum

Saravana Global Energy Limited, Cuddalore

The company is currently providing one bus facility

where the employees are asked to come through the
same bus and go through the same. The factory is
25kms far from city where maximum employees reside.
If they miss the bus they can’t board any other means
as it costs to the employees. Due to this the problem
faced is there is high absenteeism in the company. A
better transport facility would cost a little to the
company but then would reduce absenteeism and
improve productivity.

 The company should improve the Rest Room facilities.

The rest room provided by the company is not in a good
state. It lacks in cleanliness which de motivate the workers
from using it. So a proper and clean rest room is
recommended.

 The company should provide Children education Loan facility

to its employee.
The company to improve the loyalty from their employees
towards the company and reduce absenteeism can provide
their employees loans for their children’s education.

P.A.Jain Bharatesh College of Business Administration, Belgaum

Saravana Global Energy Limited, Cuddalore

 The company should provide department vice uniform.

This will help the company to differentiate its employee’s
department vise. This will help the supervisor to control the
employees well and there won’t be any problem regarding
employees wasting their time and reduce the productivity.

 There is high absenteeism in the company to overcome this

problem and to attract employees from not taking
unnecessary leave the company can provide additional
incentive for those who are regular like the one who comes
whole month and no leaves taken providing additional
amount of 500rs or the amount which the company feels
feasible. This will reduce absenteeism and increase
productivity.

 Keeping the work environment Clean

It is found that there are dust and fume all over the working
place which keeps the working environment unhealthy. So
bit more concentration of cleaning would motivate
employees working there.

P.A.Jain Bharatesh College of Business Administration, Belgaum
Saravana Global Energy Limited, Cuddalore

In the study I have provided with welfare measures and

suggestion to the Company which can help them to improve its
productivity and reduce the problems which the employees are
currently facing which will motivate workers. Working ambience is
very crucial so the report concentrates on importance of good
working condition and how an employee gets motivated or de-
motivated by this. It also concentrates on the productivity of the
company as how the company is affected by the problems faced
by the employees, as there is high absenteeism due to transport
services to reach the working place and no proper rest room
facility. And the food provided to the employees was not healthy
which created absenteeism and the employees were not satisfied.
In this report we have discussed all the issues and
implementation of all the suggestion can help the company to
sort out all the issues.
