THE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

To transform two innocent and idealistic management students to pragmatic and practical management trainees over a period
of 15 months

1st Interaction
It would help if the 1st interaction is a personal meeting. It would put a face to a name and would give you an opportunity to
diagnose their strengths and weaknesses before you begin assigning them development work. Your Mentees would get in
touch with you to fix up an appointment at a time and place of your convenience.

Subsequent Interactions
These could be a combination of meetings, emails and telephonic conversations depending on the availability of your time.
While for assigning assignments/tasks, email would be fine, it would be good if you could review/rate their progress with at
least one meeting every month.

Program Structure
We are not putting a structure to this program as it would limit your freedom to use innovative and creative
methods/techniques to develop your Mentees in the desired direction. Each one of you is a storehouse of knowledge,
experience and ideas and we would want the Mentees to benefit from that. We are confident that at the end of the program
your Mentees will carry a little bit of you inside them.

However, we would urge you to prepare a 'Case History' of your Mentees, like a doctor would of his client. It would contain your
diagnosis, recommended tasks and progress review. This 'Case History' will serve as a ready reckoner for both you and your
Mentees in the course of the program.

Program Evaluation

In order to track regular progress, Drona will have the following grading system:

Grade Description
A Mentee has exceeded your expectations
B Mentee has matched your expectations
C Mentee is just below your expectations
D Mentee has fallen well short of your expectations
F Mentee has not even made an attempt to meet your expectations

We will be asking you to grade the Mentees 3 times in the 15 month duration of the program. They must get at least a grade
of 'B & Above' once in the 3 evaluations and must not therefore get a grade of 'C & D' more than twice. Getting a grade 'F'
will result in immediate disqualification from the program/course.

We will also be asking the Mentee to fill a feedback form about his/her Mentor after every 5 months of the program. These
will serve as valuable inputs for you.
