Subject Code: FMGT 90

Year & Section: BSBM FM 4-1

Name: Ronario, Kimberly Anne L.

1. What is the message of this film?

Don’t be greedy. We should consider others before we do a certain action because it

might have a great impact on them.

2. What did you learn from this film or the actions of the characters? Discuss.

First, on the action of the CEO, I learned that before making a decision we should

consider others too. We should not think of our own sake only, we should care about

other people.

Second, on the action of the workers, I learned that those on the lower level don’t have

much say on the company. It’s always the higher-ups who make the decision and the

employees need to follow what they say. Even though they don’t want to do it, they feel

like they don’t have a choice because they may lose their job if they resist. So they did

the wrong thing to survive.

Third, I learned that it is no one’s fault. It is everyone’s fault. They all participated in the

first place, that’s why they are all suffering in the end. They made a decision, so they

need to face the consequences of their action.

Overall, I learned that in every mistake that we make, we can learn something from it.

And in every decision that we make, we have a reason for it.

3. Was there anything you didn’t understand about the film or the actions of the

characters?

There’s no scene or actions of the characters in the movie that I don’t understand. Their

action may not be good and acceptable but it is inevitable. They come to a point where

things will get worse no matter what they do. Whether or not they don’t get involved, the

securities might crash sooner or later.

4. What did you like best about the film? Why?

What I like best about the movie is that it shows us the side of the people in corporation.

It makes us at least understand why they do that certain action. Everyone on the

corporation has their reason. Even though their reason is not acceptable, we can’t just

judge them because we are not on their situation. We have our own ways in dealing

with problems. Every people on the corporation has something that they value, things
that they can’t live without or can’t easily let go, so they did everything just to keep it

even though they may hurt other people.

5. What did you like least about the film? Why?

Nothing, I like everything about the movie.

6. If you could respond to the concerns, attitudes, and behaviors of any of the

characters in the film, what would you say and why?

To the CEO John Tuld, I will say to him that he shouldn’t only care about himself and

the money that he can get. He should be more concerned on his employees because

they are the one who make him rich. They work hard to save the company and their

own jobs. They are one of those who suffered most because of his decision. We can

see on the movie that he didn’t care if their employees and other people were

struggling, as long as he has money, he is happy. He shouldn’t be like that.
